Great for being able to get right into nature quickly as its right off the main road. You can feel totally solitary even though its just a few steps away from the hustle & bustle. There are a few pathways to walk and its quite large but not so big youd get lost. Its right alongside the cemetary so you could walk there to. There is a pond or small lake in there with a lookout dock. Who woulda thunk it, but its all in there. Also theres some type of historic house there it seems lived in with cars parked outside. So you may pass that on your walk from the Medford, Grove st entrance, up to the wooded parts reaching Winchester. Very good spot to walk, explore, clear your mind, in all weather.

A Great Place for a Walk. This historic property is cared for by MBELT and boasts a historic 21 room manor, acres of woodlands and one very nice pond which has lots of wildlife. I would certainly visit again!

This is a great open space day hike spot near the urban core. It is also accessible by bus. It is a Victorian era country estate from the days when Medford was out in the country,.
