Always have fun here with the kiddos. Especially in the summer when they have the water on for the kids to play in.

I like how they redid everything. But the area is known for the homeless population staying and hanging out there. They have a water fountain where the kids play and which is really amazing, since they took out the pool some years ago. There is often trash and even syringes found the park. I would never suggest to anybody to use that bathroom either. Its use for drug use every single day. And its not cleaned up and Ive seen very gross things in there. If you bring your kids just keep an eye on them and where they play. There is some dangerous people and dangerous things left behind. The playground alone its pretty good and the playing water fountain is good too. Especially on a hot summer day to cool off.

So fun to go to the Farmers Market there on Thursdays. Fruits & Veggies..are the best.

Alot of homless its okay but there are safer parks in the area!

Kids love the playground and water park. And the space to run on the grass. Great place for a kids birthday party where you can socially distance

Im at odds with this one. Too much drug and homeless shenanigans but great play structures and amazing greens to run around d in. Just wear your shoes so the rig doesnt penetrate your foot.

For the most part its a nice park and generally nice people be mindful of others there is some transient especially with the displacement from recent fires but still a decent place to bring your pup

What I visited Hawthorne Park enjoying my lunch it was great to watch the little kids playing in the water this was before the terrible fires in Phoenix and talent since then Ive seen on the news where are wonderful Police Department of Medford and the city has had to go in and clean up after the transients what a shame but you guys are doing a wonderful job and I hope Hawthorne Park will be open again soon

Highly frequented city center park...alot of activity there and the water park on a hot day is certainly a win. Not enough shade and picnic tables. As a parent, maintaining awareness is always recommended.

Overall its a very nice park however they could do more to moderate The criminal element that linger.

Love this park especially when they have the water park running. It’s definitely a favorite spot. Lots of space for family games and also has two dog parks, basketball and tennis courts. They could use more bathrooms.

This playground is such a great place. It is safe for all age children. Its shady and a great place for a picnic.ENJOY AND PLAY LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING!!

Clean and cute. The new park design is easy to look at and my little brother absolutely loves it. The grass is well kept and so is the playground. The only downfall is that the bathrooms are a hit and miss when it come to cleanliness. Some days it is clean other days you dont want to SRT foot in there. Other then that it is a great park to slide and play in the water

Very nice park, kid friendly. It has a splash pad, and a workout area for those 14 and older.

I like the playground, though I wish there were more slides and shade around the splash pad. The sandbox is a no go, I never let my kids play in it because Ive seen needles at this park in the past. Lots of homeless wandering through to use the bathrooms or shower in the splash pad in the summer. They have the farmers market there on Thursdays which is pretty cool. It draws quite the crowd.

Actually went to Growers Market as always great products and vendors. Masks are required which is awesome.

If I could actually wash my hands (like the large RED notice says) thatd be great. However the doors are locked and the most unsanitary thing you could do was a porta potty swap. Theyre gross even without a pandemic, how is this helping?

Scary place in the middle of the day. Expected a Farmers Market. Instead there were so many Homeless living in the park. Truly at crisis level. Lovely kids play area nearby. But because of the obvious it was empty. Fenced in area known as a Dog Park is on site. But because of the circumstances it made me feel anxious. Sad for all and a lose lose situation.

It was a very nice park with lots if unique equipment for kids to play on. There is even a outside gym and plenty of areas for little ones to have imaginative adventures.

Park was nice and clean, water features were running and the out of town family we took to play for a bit was very impressed on the difference from their local parks features and play equipment. It was an enjoyable quick visit so kids could run off steam

The bathrooms are gross, but the water feature is ok. And the outside gym is a great place to be able to work out without a gym membership

Porta toilets were overflowing in desperate need of dumping! Absolutely disgusting for such a nice kids park.

The kid playground area is vast and wonderful, however Ive been told needles have been found in the sandpit area. I love the large greenway. I really dont like how close to the streets the kid play area is or the wood chip floor covering, my little eats it. Bear Creek is by far our favorite, this is next best

Great park. Different play areas fir different ages.

Nice enough playground sectioned by age group. But the best is the workout equipment area, which even boasts wheelchair accessible stations.

The park looks great. Very easy to spread out and follow distancing guidelines.

Might want to go when there are other families there.. if not bring pepper spray.. lots of druggies around. One man was speed walking and screaming profanities while waving his arms. Other then that.... Great park lol.

Very clean park! Has an awesome splash pad as well as an outdoor gym and lots of playground. The playground is designed for different age groups. I really like that there are structures my 19 month old enjoys as well as others that my 8 year old enjoys.

Park was a great place for our grandson to play. Would give more stars but the restroom was locked and the outhouse was rancid

This is a great park in Downtown Medford next to the Village in Medford. They have age appropriate playgrounds, covered exercise equipment, logs and rocks to climb on, and a splash pad. Rogue Valley Farmers Market is every Thursday during spring - fall.

This shouldnt be posted as a park for kids. Nobody should go here. Ive seen other reviews now that Ive been here about needles, homeless, and garbage. I was here saw used bloody tampons,G toilet paper on the play equipment. Theres even an outdoor gym... For the homeless. And bathroom facilities so its a natural attraction I guess for them. The equipment itself is cool I guess if youre an older kid. Its very advanced to play on and the area for 2 to 5 is for less than 2 really. The slide is about 4 long. We left immediately.

Nice little park but dogs dont like the woodchips

I really do love the park itself. The playground is great and the kids love the sandbox and boats. However, the transient traffic is horrid and they trash the bathrooms. Today I witnessed a park goer call out a transient that had just been in the bathroom for quite a while. He began cussing and yelling at the lady. I dont really feel safe going to this park by myself with the kiddos.

Love the dog park and my daughter loves the playground. The homeless people are there and in sight but theyve never bothered us. The playground is decent and new with a outdoor gym and water pad included.

Cool park with basketball and futsal(like indoor soccer on pavement) courts and really fun, big playground for kids. Also has few gym machines to exercise on, 2 dog parks(one for big dogs, one for little dogs) and a skatepark. Overall a really enjoyable place to take the family for free.

We love this playground! It is perfect for my child who loves to climb. In the summer the splash pad is also a lot of fun. Plus the playground has a lot of shade on hotter days. (I just wish there were benches around the splash pad area.)

Park looks great when you drive up. It has lots of toys and options for the kids. But we noticed several homeless people there, the bathrooms were very dirty and had used needles and needle caps laying around. We were too afraid to let our children play there for fear they may get poked by a needle so our visit was short. We will not be returning to this park which is too bad because it had potential to be a great park.

Although the surrounding #s of homeless citizens is steadily increasing, (Yes...american citizens, & homelessness is not a crime) it is comparably proportional to the rest of our society! Resulting in some unattractive aesthetics, the city has been doing well in their efforts to compensate through reformation! Drug activity has been reduced significantly, at least inspiring discretion among homeless users.As for the park itself, it is well maintained and clean, with many features typically uncommon for city parks. (Exercise equipment of various designs under a canopy, a water fountain feature to counter the heat and humidity during and near the summer months, playground structures utilizing modern materials & design, a wooden obstacle course, & a sandbox with plastic turtles and canoes for play). Restroom pavilion service lacks in prompt cleanliness but great tennis/basketball courts and fenced dog park area by a duck inhabited Bear Creek passing by a skateboard park make for a great family outing.

Medford Farmers Market happens here on Thursdays from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Get your veggies, fruits, handcrafted items, goat milk lotions and soaps. Theres something delicious and wonderful for everyone!

A fun playground for your kids

This playground is nice and has baby swings for my 9 month old. Has nice grass, and a little trail for nice walks.

We love this park. My daughter loves the big, open sandbox, the new playground equipment and water park.

Not a safe place to take your kids.

Its a great place to take the whole family. Even the pups. 2 fenced in dog parks to choose from. A large open field. Basketball courts and a small skate area. At the park you can also find a sand area for the kiddos, some swings and a play structure for the older kids. And a couple of swings and a small play structure for the little ones. The star of the park especially in the summer, is a great splash pad with lots of room to run amd play games!

This is a great park with a water pad! Perfect to stop from a road trip and let the kids stretch and burn off energy! Not to busy. Kids had a blast!

I loved what they have done with the place. It looks so much cleaner. They did do away with the public bathroom that was on the side but probably for the better. That old bathroom that was there didnt look like the place to be. Its a lot more open and feels like I have more room to breath. Taking the trees down was a good call but would have like some type of patio/flower beds put in. Even a better walk way and steps. Not a whole lot for toddlers to do there. I thought they might have done a sort of water park feature like they have over in central point. As long as it isnt running off of Bear Creak water then that would be awesome.

I love this park but the problems that surround it really make me not want to be take my kid here at all. Also there is literally only one little kids slide and none others. Kinda surprised about that. But back to the problems. The homeless are literally everywhere. Some like to sleep on the side of the bathroom. I have heard of multiple situations where police were involved in crime going on there with stabbings and fights etc. This should be a safe place but I really dont think it is unfortunately. If the bums want this park so bad then let them have it.

This park is very well maintained an for kids all the swings n slides are very new n clean sometimes I eat my lunch while on break here I notice other people doin the same. Peaceful.

Good experience to have lunch tried to keep warm but it was a good experience

What a great place to experience a Thursday. The Rogue Valley growers market was in full swing with a wide array of healthy eating and drinking options. The water feature seemed to attract a great crowd, and there are plenty of trees to provide shade on a warm Medford day.

Lots of fun play equipment, workout stuff for parents, picnic spots and a little area of concrete for the kids to skate on. Perfect

I love this park. Its been a place to go for me and my family since I wad just a kid. Its gotten better over the years, except I do miss the pool area. I would have given 5 stars but last time I went, there was trash all over the ground and questionable people hanging out near the play area.

Great for summertime trips with the kiddos. The water does smell like chlorine really bad and the homeless are everywhere . Other then the homeless people the park isnt that bad. Definitely not a great place at night time.has work out area..

Any water feature is good but this could of been better with more variety of sprinklers. Plus restrooms need to be on park patrol because the homeless are using them as dumping grounds and leaving them filthy. More benches are needed to be closer / surround the water area.

My family and i adore this park, it has a huge splash pad, playground, large grass areas, lots of shade, a lot of parking, and even a gated dog park next off to the side of the main park. it also has an exercise/play area built for children and parents to work out together, its pretty cute. its my kids favorite park to go to in medford.

A great place to take the family. There is something there for a variety of ages to enjoy. When the water is on, its virtually hours of free enjoyment for the kids!

Decent park. Needed a little tidy up. Found a lot of dog poop not cleaned up. We all need to clean up after our pets.

This park offers something for everybody. Their stuff for the kids to do, clean bathrooms, lots of water activities for the little ones on hot summer days. Nice shady areas for you and your friends to lay out a blanket and have a small picnic well the breeze blows by. I go there quite regularly.

The Park is so much nicer after the remodel. Unfortunately so many of the homeless hang around it which brings the police. Have to really watch your kids... Great park!

Its a nice park but can get very crowded. Kids unlimited uses it so finding openings to let your kiddo use the equipment can be a challenge. Also the homeless frequent the area so its not uncommon to find a sleeping person in/on the vicinity of the park equipment and thusly your children

Nice and clean. Keep eye out for questionable characters and keep an extra close eye on your children and belongings just in case. Fun park with plenty of great green grass to play in, picnic at, lounge in. Tree shade too! Right along a creek. Dog park right across the grass. Same place the Thursday Farmers Market is held.
