I have only been a member for a few months. While the facility is extremely clean and well taken care of, the mask requirement is not enforced. In fact most of the staff do not wear masks which is incredibly irresponsible. Our family contracted Covid from someone who was not wearing a mask and one of my family members was very sick. Please enforce your rules.

My family loves this place. We have been members for a while now. I usually dont go there, but today I went with my family. I would say I understand why they enjoy it, except the changing rooms for the pool smell musty and like a urinal. I think perhaps some additional attention is required in the cleaning of these facilities. I understand it cant be easy to keep these places clean. All in all the facility seems clean enough, the pool is nice, just dont understand how the changing rooms can be missed.

Ive been a member since the Hub opened. My family & I have enjoyed it. However, when my daughters & I go in the early a.m., theres a young female employee at the desk. She has dark hair & glasses. Shes workednthe morning shift for some time now. Shes not very friendly & barely speaks to the members when they arrive. I realize that it may be early in the a.m. but this is her job. She acts as if she doesnt want to be there. She is the first face we see in the a.m. who represents the company. I have noticed this for quite some time & finally decided to make a comment about it.

Im having a very bad experience with them. I enrolled my daughter in summer camp, pay (not cheap) several weeks so that my daughter was enjoying the summer with them and I was calm at work, a child was rude to my daughter, the next day I tried to talk to the manager in charge of the summer camp and she was not there to receive my complaint, I had to talk to the main manager , she said that they would excuse me with my daughter and that they would call me to inform me that my daughter had received an apology. NEVER CALLED ME. my daughter received the apology, but they are not serious, NEVER is the camp manager in the morning, always is in excuse why It is not there, today I called to try to talk with the camp manager and I did not find her,I asked for the main manager and she was not ether there, they returned the call to me very late , I not longer needed to talk to anyone, I asked for a one day change for my daughter where I already paid, I was not asking for my money back, they have more chairs available to do it and they just have terrible customer service. just answer NO IM SORRY, Ill finish taking my daughter because I already paid, but this is the last time I will enroll my daughter in a summer camp with them. Horrible customer service, they just interesting in the money, not in the good customer service.

Getaway from daily stressors.Except when coming into the dining area where the TV is tuned in to the news. It upsets me each day. I come to get away from tension. It would be fine to have anything else on. Being that it a fitness business would be nice to have more exercise or sports channels.

One of the lifeguards on duty kept falling asleep in his chair. My brother paid over 160 for all of us to swim. Then as we were leaving the guy who greeted us as we came in was extremely rude to my brother. He pulled his car up close to the building to talk for a second and the greeter came barreling outside telling him to move his car, that he was blocking handicap parking even though the parking lot was nearly empty with every handicap spot available. Very ungrateful after he forked out so much money to their business.

Debbie Fossee, Silver Sneaker’s instructor, will be sorely missed. Her ability to read her student’s abilities and limitations each day allowed her to change and modify each class as needed for that particular day to fit the students need. Her lively spirit and multiple routines never made a class dull and kept you coming back week after week. We’re very sad to see her leave.

We were passing through Marion on our way to Tennessee for the Mid-South conference swimming championship meet and this was a good half way point for us. The hub is a clean, friendly environment with an extremely hospitable staff.Jared, the Aquatics director and Andrew, the head lifeguard were extremely hospitable in particular. They reserved lanes for us, turned fans on (the pool temp was a little warm for competitive swimming) and gave us a cold water hose to cool the swimmers off at the wall.We will certainly be stopping in Marion and going to the HUB on our way to the national championship and future championship meets. We certainly appreciate the hospitality of the staff.

Nice facility but they make you pay 12 bucks to WATCH your kids swim. I dont always want to swim or play basketball after an 11 hr day at work so I feel like Im paying 23 dollars for my kid to swim and essentially that is what Im doing when I go here. Why not just 11 for him to swim for a couple hrs? Thanks for responding. Again, thats really the only thing but i was turned down for being 2 dollars short when there was only like 45 min worth of swim time left one night. I had to tell my boy no after he waited so long so it did very much irk me but the facility is very clean and kept up. One of the nicest facilities around and i am glad its close to me.

I have been a Hubber since they opened and I will likely continue my membership for as long as I live in Marion. The gym area is top-notch and if a machine goes out of service, it is very promptly fixed. The gym staff are very friendly and so are the front desk staff.I am pleasantly surprised at some of the changes that the Hub has made and that they have done their best to be responsive to feedback from the community. For example, when the Hub first opened, there were no coat racks. My grandpa (also a dedicated Hubber) complained and he said that the staff was rude to him. Hes had no complaints since that incident and there are now some coat rack hooks by the storage shelves on the north gym wall.My current suggestions would be to increase the number of yoga classes, as the current times do not work for me or my family, and to increase the number of healthy snack options while decreasing the traditional unhealthy snack bar options.

I have been to the hub only twice since its opening and that was because of my child wanted to experience it. My first experience went well except for another child decided to use the restroom in the pool which caught our trip well in half because of obviously the pool was closed for cleaning. The second time we tried to attend the pool, I refused to pay full price for myself to sit and watch my child swim and the lady was originally going to charge me for my 5 month old twins as well but another worker corrected her on that but still to make someone pay full price for sitting and their pool prior did not cost as much for families to have some fun that was affordable in my opinion is wrong and especially since it was built on the side of town that has the larger population of lower income residents living near by. I will say this though it was a decent time when we went there the first time, not over whelmed with others and inside which is great for those who sunburn easily. Staff could be a bit friendlier then what they are and change prices or make some different deals up for us lower income families to be able to enjoy the facilities.

My young child whose 6 didnt get ran down by other kids and everyone was very very nice and they watch the kids very closely so you dont have to worry much about something happening bad. Its also a very very clean facility and they check the water Ph every night so the pool stays fresh and not stinging your eyes. The water temp also stays very mild; not to hot not to cold !! We have been members for a few months, spending 5 days a week at The Hub. I think there are a few major things that need some serious improvement. There are always, without a doubt, at least 4 to sometimes even 6 employees standing around at the front desk talking leisurely and hanging out on any given day from the time we walk in to the time we leave. Given that The Hub is a fitness and recreation center you would think that if offering snacks that they would have healthy choices be their mainstay, right? I would think it would be really embarrassing to have donuts, chips, candy, and every junk food available for purchase, but only offer a small cooler around the corner that has mildly healthy snacks available.... I mean there are literally rows and rows of junk food neatly on display... What does that say? I have noticed maybe 2 out of 10 people actually wipe down equipment after use, which with the types of people you have members in the medical field, should be appalled. Wipes should be encouraged to be used. I am not sure why anyone would want to take more than one wipe since they dry out after 3 uses, but wouldnt placing that sign there discourage use by making a negative connotation every time someone was to go use them? MRSA and other horrid diseases are so prevalent in gyms from body sweat and other fluids. Seeing as how the rest of the gym is seemingly clean, that perhaps you would see maybe some of the staff that routinely hangs out up front actually make rounds to wipe down machines and equipment not in use a few times a day and correct people that they see not following basic hygeine and mindfulness. If we are paying this much in a small town, then we expect to see this place have high class values. We have also noticed that you have greatly lowered the temperature that used to be set in the spa. We all have noticed. It isnt a theraputic heat anymore but more like a warm bath. After talking about it with another memeber we found out that our suspicions were right. It is a shame when you cut corners on things like this when it is supposed to be one of your main selling points. After reading some of your responses to other reviews critiqueing some of your practices I am kind of turned off. I feel like nobody actually takes these concerns into consideration and implements changes with those that are routinely brought up. Seeing your responses on here to others, well. For one, referencing that other gyms require it just to open the doors is not relavent. You do not have that system. You have a desk right at walk in that is supposed to help with issues that arise. I think most people make the common sense and ethical assumption that you are fully capable of typing someone in if they happen to forget their card for the day, as you do a full paper work on everyone who must come in even for a day pass. No one is ever busy up there with so many staff up front. You do have our photos in the system. Responding that you are concerned with flow is not a valid excuse. You inconvenience members who pay a high price for the area. Why not have a system of x number of times a month you can be manually punched in? In addition, charging people for missing key cards, especially on their first, is outragous. Fortunatly we have never lost ours but we hope to never be that situation. Seeing most of the complaints in here are about charging people to simply watch their children, I am starting to get the impression that this business will always put profit ahead of their quality of service. It is a shame. I am thinking it is only because you have a monopoly on the area of large gyms with variety that you do have as much traffic as you do with these kind of practices in place. This place has a lot of potential.

I did like that the front staff was friendly and explained things to us. We were told that the slide would be open at 1030. If you are going to be open at 8, everything should be open. The lazy river and the slide opened at 1105 that day. We were ready to leave by that time. The hot tub was not even filled, and when it was filled, the water was not that hot. They do have a volleyball net, which we couldnt use because they were having swim lessons on the end. So for an hour and a half, we basically stood in the water. Very boring for $40. May go back, but wouldnt go in unless they had enough lifeguards to have the slide and lazy river open, and hopefully the lifeguards will be a little nicer and attentive to the customers as it seemed like all they wanted to do was talk to each other. Areas were clean and water was warm, but not enough to make me get back in.

To begin, from the moment my wife, I, and our son walked in, the staff was very courteous and welcoming. The front desk attendants, the snack bar attendants, and random employees walking around the center were great. However, when we entered the pool area, we observed a short, older, balding man, with a mustache, in red swimming trunks, with scuba gear on. From the looks of it, he was possibly in charge of the pool area or maintenance of the pool. Regardless, his demeanor came off as very unfriendly and aggressive. We were there for a few hours and noticed he would walk around with an angry look on his face, as if he were trying to find something wrong with the customers to complain about. He does not come off as a very inviting person, nor do we feel he is in the right position where family and children gather to have fun and enjoy themselves. His demeanor made us uncomfortable, and we feel his personality does not fit in with rest of your staff, which were VERY friendly and accommodating. This was our first visit and we plan to visit again, because, overall, your positive employees outweighed the negative. Thank you.
