Came here with my 4 year old and we had a wonderful day. This place is perfect for this age, she lived exploring the buildings. I live how there are little things for you to open, explore, and touch- like the bonnets in the school house. Werent sure what to expect with co-vid but it was pleasantly quiet. Everything was open except a few buildings undergoing renovations. The blacksmiths (who are there currently only there Thursdays) made my daughter a tiny sword that she loved and she got a tattoo from the lady working the welcome building.

This is a fantastic representative village of early Wisconsin with authentic buildings. Ive been fortunate enough to visit without the crowd for an opportunity to really take in the feel if the atmosphere.

We checked out the Buffalo Bill show at Pinecrest and were blown away by the cleanliness, the amount of things to look at (like the old train) and the sheer scale of it right here in Manitowoc county! The show was also pretty cool. Definately recomend this place as you can literally take a stroll down memory lane (okay, your grand-mas grandmas).

If youre into enjoying historical structures set in some of Wisconsins most beautiful setting, than Pinecrest Historical Village is something you definitely need to check out. From the blacksmith shop to the school house, the buildings offer a wide variety of historic Wisconsin structures from the late 1800s into the 1900s. The facility is very well kept up with extremely friendly staff.

We attended the Thresheree Sunday. This years show was a disappointment compared to years past. The equipment demonstrations were great - hats off to the people that haul all of that equipment in, set it up and operate it. The tractor displays are watered down, not sure if fewer participate or if having the equipment scattered all over is the reason for that. Not many vendors to be seen. Back in the day my kids and I would attend the Thresheree for a few dollars. This year it was $10 per adult, and I was told none of that goes to the club. Thats too bad. I probably wont attend that again, at least not for a few years.

Very educational! Attended the Buffalo Bill show & my son & nephew were so impressed by how everyone stayed true to the environment, all the way to baby strollers! Great job!!

Best historical village my family has been to! We went to the homeschool day and almost everything is actually hands on! Normally stuff like this is roped off but not here. There was an actual family in the house that was baking cookies!

My experience is a bit different than others. I went on the weekend with my fiance and there werent any actors in costumes. We just went along the tour and figured things out for ourselves. It was awesome.

Excellent piece of Wisconsin history! We went on a Saturday morning. I love that you can take time to explore the grounds and buildings at your own pace. You can really get a feel of what the late 1800s, small town/rural life felt like.
