This park is small enough to walk right by, but big enough to not be in other peoples space. Has a full basketball court; sand volleyball court; little league diamond; playground set; water fountain. Has a lot of green space when no sports are in play. One whole city block.

Simple, nice park with basketball and sand volleyball, good lawn and play ground. Just south of UW Madison, but parking is usually available when not a Badger home football game.

DETAILS of PARK BELOW - Bathroom, etc.Visited 10.22.2018 with my girls, age 8 and 10. Great stop! and accessible to AFCH/UW Hospitals and S Park Street.Beautiful day outside and we absorbed it all! Multiple options for children to run the length of the multiple city blocks and wide enough to be open and safe. Surrounded by residential homes.Girls loved this area! Many options for busy minds to include the play equipment (the balancing bench great fun!), basketball and volleyball court in addition to corner benches and open area to kick a ball. What more could you ask for at a city park with a beautiful setting, some shade and lots of sunlight!EATING: Bring own picnic and blanket, 4+ benchesBATHROOM: NoDRINKING FOUNTAIN: YesPARKING: Easy, Side StreetsDISABILITY: Yes, Handicap Accessible

This is a great park for enjoying a warm summer day or tailgating prior to a Badger Football game. There is a backstop and small baseball/softball area, plenty of green space, a playground for the little ones, a basketball court, and a sand volleyball court with an above average quality net. On warm days, one can always hear people playing baskbetball and volleyball. There are brick ledges with brick floors on two corners of the park which are perfect for adding extra seating or places to put food and other items while tailgating. The whole park is filled with tailgaters prior to Badger Football games. This is one of only a couple Madison parks that allow alcoholic beverages. You just cant have glass containers!

You can drink alcohol in this park. That makes it great for game days. Also note that its used by the school right next to it on weekdays.

Can be a little dirty from partying college kids (glass bottles and beer cans). Playground is nice enough. Changes of college kids playing some beer related sport is higher than normal! Not that theres anything wrong with that, its never stopped me bringing my kids there, because its close for me. But there are better kid parks like Vilas or Wingra nearby.
