Visited in a Saturday, they were closed lady at the visitor center called and they graciously let us visit. Lots of great exhibits, and good information. Thanks to all that made it possible

We love to visit during the Nights Before Christmas event and see the gingerbread houses made by the local school kids. There is a good deal of general history and a decent Civil War display, too. Local inventors and industry are also represented. And a complete cottage is on display indoors.

My 2 yr old grandson loves trains and was so engaged throught the museum. He loved it! This nice volunteer offered to let us in even though they were closed.

Wow, couldnt believe some of the information they had. It was a real learning experience on somethings. Parents need to take kids to this and help them understand some of our past.

Great interactive childrens section! There is a general store and schoolroom with many manipulatives for kids to explore.

Very interesting museum with great local information. 1895 train station is very cool. Very friendly folks at the History Center. The great thing this year is that it is FREE.

Absolutely wonderful people here. We had a great time talking with them about local history and their experiences in the area. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Madison.

Terrific museum, wonderful for the whole family. Our children loved the hands on chidrens activity room and the adorable restored caboose, friendly staff ! Great deal free admission for all of 2017!
