Great course and club house.

We attended a wedding there recently where the Gov and First lady treated the staff better then their managers. This was an amazing place but theyve lost their focus. Its very sad because I thought they would close when they were struggling but had recovered. Ive heard from members its a mess and they are losing members. Its too bad because weve enjoyed so many wonderful events there.

Unprofessional treatment of employees during a tumultuous time. Heartless and despicable. One star is too generous for this club management.

Clean, very nice place. Staff was friendly & efficient. Temperature inside was very comfortable whether there were 5 or 25 people in the room we were in. Parking could be better but they have valet service.

Wonderful pool manager!

Had our wedding here in January. Overall the staff, location, food, and drinks were all amazing. Everyone at the wedding had a fantastic time and many commented that the steaks we had were some of the best steaks theyd ever had. Set up and tear down were done almost entirely by the staff and it was worry free for us. The bartenders and servers were extremely professional and polite.

Great lunch, didnt golf but course looks great

Nakoma is basically all white... This place is for the stuck up, rich snobs. And the logo is racist.Its a pity because the land is very beautiful. Perhaps the city should turn it into part of the arboretum. Plus, there are plenty of other (less completely white, less racist) golf courses in the immediate area.

I was very proud to be the only person of color at golf course. I felt like Brahmin at this course. I was surprised to see more grass than sand. Very nice grass it was. I would trade half of my goat heard if only I could sleep on the grass that was used to hit white ball on. Food was only downside. Very expensive and not halal so I decided to not eat. I hope more people of color will be allowed at this course some day to see its beauty. But for now the rule is one colorful person per year. Great honor I was chosen. Thank you Nakoma for time of wonderment.

The top golf club in the area. The membership is serious about golf and the course is one of the most walkable I have encountered. Par 70 and longer than it looks on the scorecard. Definitely a shotmakers course. Brad Peck in the golf shop is a great guy, as is John, his assistant. Relatively expensive for someone over 40 but a great value for younger members. The pool is a bit dated and the food is decent but not as focused on fresh and seasonal ingredients as it should be. Recent updates to the inside have given it a facelift, and the patio area outside is really nice. The membership is welcoming and not as stuffy as other clubs in the area. The tennis and swim programs have great reputations but I have not used them.

Very upset with Nakoma. Yes its a great country club but they have a racist Indian Logo! I will not return until this club changes its logo. Squanto is rolling over in his grave at the site of the logo. Very inappropriate for a country club. I am very offended. Calling upon the progressive members who live in the liberal city of Madison to change the logo in respect for the native peoples whos land was stolen. What would they think if they found out their hunting grounds were being used for white men to hit a little white ball around. Also on another note. At the nakoma trophy swim meet they were charging $8 for a hamburger, an outrageous price, and $1 for a packet of ketchup. Ketchup! What has this world come to? They should give their profits to the ho chunk peoples.
