Its been years since I had visited Water Rampage so I forgot how much FUN it is! Lots of different water features that kids and adults BOTH can enjoy: lazy river, wave pool, mushroom fountains, etc. They have a little snack shop with many choices and even serve beer now. All the flora and fauna, like trumpet-vine canopies, add to the experience and almost make you feel like youre on a little tropical island put in the middle of West Texas. We had a blast!

Not a bad place but for the price its a little outrageous. And concession stand prices are horrible for just frozen food. The drink prices are just fine. We go each and every year, we dont see any fixes or improvements to anything. For the prices things need to start getting fixed. Customer service is great though.

Over priced antiquated and not well thought out. Hey sell alcohol but not swimmers. Paint is peeling everywhere and equipment hasnt been refreshed since who knows when. Your better off driving to Dallas for Hurricane Harbour which is almost half the price you charge here and at least 5 times bigger.

Extremely disappointed to see how run down the park is. I came here often as a child and don’t remember it being so rundown. Doesn’t seem like any maintenance to the lining of the pool/lazy river/kid area has occurred in quite some time and is falling apart bad. To bad I will not be returning this season. Hopefully by next year they will have taken care of the very obvious maintenance issues.

A perfect play day! Decided to go on a Thursday, no waiting for anything, plenty of room everywhere. The slides are fast and fun, wave pool safe you can see your child. Nice lazy river with supervision at critical junctures. Two areas for smaller children, padded multiple slide seemed a favorite. A huge barrel dumping water leads to squeals of delight.Clean restrooms, purchase the all day locker for security and convenience as you cannot exit and reenter. No smoking.Food, ice cream, drinks and alcohol are sold, not allowed to be brought in. Save your non-alcohol drink cup for 75c refills.Pay for a tube at entrance, youll want one There is plenty of shade, lots of reclining loungers, go early to get cushioned one under an umbrella by wave pool. They could use a few more umbrellas but it is a water park, bring sunscreen...Enjoyed our visit very much. Pic taken at 12:30 pm

Prices are way to high($25 per person)for an unkept park. The trees/bushes in the lazy river were outrageous and extremely long! Kept getting poked and stabbed. Life guards did their job but some of them seemed to hate their job. One of them justice(I think is her name) was extremely nice and very help full and went above and beyond for all the kids! The restrooms were WAY to small and disgusting at that. NoNE of the womens stall doors locked the mat that is on the floor was nasty! This place really needs a majority upgrade if they want to charge that much!

Visited 7/5/19 with my child, my sister, and her 2 children. The bathrooms are more than disgusting! Only 1 stall shut and locked and they were so dirty ! The no-slip padding in the toilet/sink area has been down for years and had wet toilet paper stuck to it. Only 1 sink so don’t get in a hurry to wash your hands!!! People were lined up out the door just to use the restroom!!! The bottoms of the pools are extremely rough and you can visibly see where years of paint is starting to chip off in big chunks. Same goes for the lazy river! Ouch !! There are padded slides for smaller kids that are in pretty bad shape also they’re all cracking and not smooth and big chunks are missing and the padding is exposed. Pirates cove for the smaller children is still in pretty good shape though!! Everything is extremely dated and this place could really use an update all the way around! The price is very high for the poor quality of the park. Won’t be going back until there are some much needed improvements. 2 stars but only for pirates cove !

So when I was younger I went to places like Wet & Wild, Blizzard Beach, and Typhoon Lagoon. How does Water Rampage compare? It doesn’t. Water Rampage is overpriced and I am underwhelmed. An adult ticket to this place shouldn’t be more than $12. But they want to charge $20.50 per person, no matter the age. This place is a joke. If you are in Lubbock and want to get wet use a garden hose.

Visiting family from out of state. The 12 dollar admission seemed reasonable from 4-6 so we thought we would give it a shot. It’s an older facility that is not very well maintained. Bathrooms need severe attention. The big slide had a malfunction, the water stopped working. And the lazy river looks very dirty. The last hour we were there my son slipped and fell off the small foam slide. Twisted his ankle pretty bad. We were given ice, and the young life guard examined him. I was very disappointed they never offered to fill out an accident report even.

Great water park to take the family. Not big, only 2 slides, but the lazy river and wave and pool were the most enjoyable aspects in my opinion. I do think it would be better if you could bring in drinks and sandwiches, fruit, ect. since your only options are snack stand food like burgers, nachos and not everyone can eat that. You can leave a cooler in the car though and go out to your car and eat. The bathrooms could be updated a little.I do feel the price is a little steep for what youre getting and even more so for small children or seniors. All in all, I give it 4 stars because we had a good time.

We love going to Water Rampage. Its kept clean and they even let my 3 year old ride one of the big slides with either my wife or I. We tend to go at 1600 when the price is reduced to $11.50 per person. Our only complaint is that it closes too early, especially during the weekdays at 1800. Its summer and doesnt get dark until after 2000. Closing so early does not allow families who work 8-5 to enjoy a couple hours of fun after a long day at work. Thats our only complaint!

I was truly disappointed in this waterpark. There was one ONE lifeguard watching the wave pool AND the kids section off to the side. When the waves werent going the ONE lifeguard was too busy talking across the pool to someone working where the tubes were. In the lazy river one of the lifeguard was too busy on her phone to care to watch the people in the water. The life guards actually have to use a pool cleaning stick to push the barrel on the pirate ship attraction so the water spills over. Im surprised there hasnt been serious accidents happen here because of the lack of lifeguard . Not only were there not enough lifeguards, the ones that were there, were not friendly to my family or children. Id rather spend the ridiculous over priced entry fee at another location because I know after our trip this past weekend, we will not be back or reccomend. H20 in Canyon is WELL worth the drive and at a great price!!

If I lived in Lubbock (TX), I would use Texas Water Rampage to cool off regularly. However, with living in Amarillo (TX) and well over an hour away, I wouldn’t consider Texas Water Rampage a “destination water park” to go to until the water park does some maintenance, upgrades and expansion. If you must drive an hour or more to Texas Water Rampage, I would save the wear/tear on your vehicle, gas money and money in general…

We have been going for years. I was very disappointed the lazy river was disgusting and green. I finally told my kids we cannot go back in there. Other than that everything is becoming extremely outdated and dangerous. Water shoes are needed because the floor is broken in the pool and you will step on a sharp piece of rock. Bathrooms are super gross. Im not sure when they hiked the 4-6 pm price up to $16.50. Unfortunately that will be the last time for us. I will drive out of town rather than pay for that.

The negative reviews of this place are strictly individual opinions that are based on information shared by a Navy mom. None of the review are, or were, posted in malice. None of us have the intent to damage the establishment or owner in any way, but instead share opinion regarding the treatment of your employee after enlisting in the Navy. It is my understanding, and correct me if I am wrong, this employee was accused of orchestrating all of these negative reviews related to the military. I know for a fact that is not the case. The information was given to a mom and she informed other Navy moms who freely expressed their opinion about this incident. I also heard, and again correct me if I am wrong, the employee was fired because of the attention this subject has generated. I hope that is not true. I want the public to draw their own conclusions about Texas Water Rampage and decide if it is right for them. However, based on the information I know this establishment is not for me. #Navymom.

Lots of flowers along the sides of the river. Bring ur IDs, they have BEER! You can float and sip ur beer. Was very nice. There is a few lifeguards along the river! 3ft deep n wide. A side space for small kids only under 48 they also have a spot for bigger kids. This is a older place its not perfect but everything seemed in good working conditions . Updates do need to be made. The bathroom was a breeze way bath/locker room. No shower in it. I liked this cuz it wasnt hot and smelly. Only thing that really bothered me was the upper walls of the lazy rivers paint is peeling and chipped badly it pulled my hair once or twice. We didnt try the food. This place needs MAJOR UPKEEP! I am a very able bodied adult and pay attention to what Im doing and Im not accident prone. However I went with my family to have a fun day in the water. I went to get a drink and take it back to them and while walking on the walkway I just bit the dust all of a sudden. There is a major depression in the concrete that hasnt been tended to in a LONG TIME! So long it was growing algae. The algae was slick and just by walking across it ON THEIR PATHWAY I slipped and fell and almost broke my foot. Thankfully I am not a little old person that would have broken a hip doing it. My foot has several abrasions and is swollen twice the size it should be. I am not even worried about myself I am just terrified some older person, pregnant lady, or child will fall in that spot and get a broken hip, miscarriage, or head injury. Please dont pay the outrageous prices they charge and just go to the tech leisure pool, sun n fun, or any other swimming pool here in Lubbock. This place is a death trap and its not even fun with the lazy river being disgusting and not flowing, their two slides that are in desperate need of an upgrade or their wave pool that just cuts the bottom of your feet in two feet of water. AWFUL PLACE!

The owner is not truthful. The young Naval recruit employee was told to let the owner know his last date of work because they refuse to accommodate his REQUIRED Navy PT schedule (recruits that have a delayed entry date, in this case later this year are required to report for physical training with other recruits.) That this business not only denied this young man the time he needed, but actually told him to quit, tells me they have ZERO respect for those who volunteer to defend our freedoms. When our family first moved to Lubbock two years ago we bought summer passes to Water Rampage. Since there is no other water park this was better than nothing. However, the floor of the wave pool has been falling apart and the lazy river often has plant debri even though the lifeguards have skimmers. The kiddie side to the wave pool with the small wide slide always seems very slick (more than other parts) and I have seen many people go down each year. The website lists picnic tables are available on-site, but does not indicate that you can not bring your own food (that has been the case in 2015 and 2016), which has been misleading. Despite these flaws I have to say a summer pass is a great price so you can stop in and play all summer long for short periods. One of the thing I really appreciate about the park is that the lifeguard are always very attentive and do a great job of keeping people safe. They are even better than beach lifeguard I have seen. My kids like the water park and we love having fun in the water all summer long. We will keep going each year to enjoy the cool water and play in the waves. I just hope they keep improving each year.
