I need them to open up soon but I know it is not safe due to COVID...my two favorite places to go for arcade games was Fun Factory at Redondo (they recently closed it down) and this place. I just hope this one doesn’t get closed down as well since it is one of the last arcades with classic games that bring so many childhood memories.

Finally found an arcade that is really an arcade. This place is a God send, it took me wayyy back to my childhood and then years. There arent any stand alone arcades like this in Toronto unless you count Dave and Buster, which I dont. So many cool games and pinball that you could lose a serious amount of time in here. I did for sure, some of it was caused by flashbacks and a pile of OMG moments. My son hadnt seen an arcade before this, only hearing stories for us old folks lmao ( Im still in my 40s ). This was an amazing time for the both of us, still a debate who had more fun. Definitely a bonding experience. When back in town, I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

You rebuild to be great, now I can play the games, I see the price changes as every game now is 2+ tokens so its kind of pricey but in the end, Im happy yall are Back! 9 March 3020This is one of the last real video game arcades in Los Angeles. I was in Los Angeles college in the early 90s decade and there was two video arcade games centers. Now only one there. There are some nice arcade games machines on the Redondo Beach pier.It is okay, but the real good old games are gone, all of my favorite games like all version of Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Virtual Fighter are all gone. The games are lame now. The only good games are air hockey, pool tables and a few race car games. There was one big box type that has a lot of games in one computer console, but the graphics are not that good and dull. Plus each game are two tokens and in the 90s, games were better and 6 or 8 tokens for one dollar.

Run of the mill arcade with pretty much style of game you can think of, but not a whole lot of choice with those styles. The place is a little run down & not all the games take tokens (some just take quarters; theres change machines for both). Had a hard time tracking down an employee to try & break a $20, but their air hockey table made up for any inconvenience I had. Not bad. Ill probably be back, if the kids want to go...

A solid, no-frills arcade!Simple, fun arcade building with all the games youd expect - air hockey, racing games, shooting games. The games take tokens, and you can get them from the little window right by the entrance. The exterior is rather unassuming and even hard to notice, being a plain white building. But the inside is very lively and bright with all the arcade lights, and a lot of fun!

A pretty rad arcade. They had a lot of variety and most impressively, all of the games worked. That isnt true of most arcades. My 6-year-old daughter and I had a blast and only spent $20 for at least 2.5 hours of play. High-fives all around everybody! NOTE: Bring cash.

I am a professor at arcades and claw machines academy, but when I tell you what they do you might want to be careful. Make sure you know what your doing when your doing when you go and buy tokens, It is true that you get a bonus for them however, games that you win prizes on take quarters. If you buy tokens you CANNOT have your REFUND! Which is very frustrating especially since I spent 20 dollars on coins and when I realized the claw machines and stuff that you win prizes on take quarters I was really upset. The only reason I went there was because they had claw machines and master key, but hey this is my opinion so I suggest only to come here and know what your doing.

Machines just eat tokens and don’t do anything while others have not working signs on them. The only thing more pervasive than the smell of marijuana is the plethora of signs warning you of no refunds. The games are pretty old and the space is fairly dirty and dingy. We are devout gamers and don’t require a lot but tokens to use the restroom? We out.

Cool that they have MaxTune5 on network here, but theres more negatives to this place than positive.Staff: Dont even try to ask anything of them, they will reply with an aggressive attitude no matter what. The staff expect to communicate with customers using only signage that is not accurate or informative. If you do find yourself communicating with a staff member, ensure to call them out on how unprofessional they are being and ensure to record them. They are the type likely to get physical and at this point any evidence to either shut this place down or make it better would be desperately needed.Arcades: well over 75% of all the games in this place are broken, have faded CRTs or have had their monitors swapped out with non original compenents which affect playability and timing within most if not all games. Especially the rhythm/music games. Switches on buttons misfire or dont fire at all. The shift mech on Daytona 2 doesnt shift and its a dollar per play!Document everything, post it to Google, ensure that the public understands that this place is in dire need of a change or just simply shut down for better establishments. With the attitude of the staff, complete lack of upkeep and recycling old games with broken compnents, this place is more a liability than a successful business.

So me and a group of friends went to the Family Arcade on a whim. It was in a somewhat sketchy part of town and honestly on the outside the place itself looked pretty sketchy, especially since we went around midnight, but upon walking in I was surprised how it was actually a pretty nice arcade. Theres a great selection of games and theyre all fairly reasonably priced to play. There can definitely be some complaints to be made that the staff seemed pretty cold but I did notice at closing time the security guard was making sure to let people finish their games before telling them it was time to leave which was a small gesture that I appreciated. Overall the arcade is a little sketchy but a generally fun place to spend a few hours with friends.

This place was way-overhyped on Google for anyone with an interest in classic arcade games. The majority of the video games on offer are driving games, the ones that there are 2-4 connected cockpits that people can race with their friends. There were maybe 6 classic arcade games - Tetris (screen very faded and burned-in), Ms. Pacman, Sunset Riders, a couple of others. There were a number of multi-game emulators, and about 8 pinball games. I went to play classic arcade games and ended up playing modern (and over-priced!) pinball.I was sold on this place being a mecca for classic arcade games. I left very disappointed in the selection and the condition of many of these games. I would also have preferred to see a pay-by-time model instead of a pay-per-game model.Over-hyped, under-delivered. Next time Im looking for an arcade fix in LA, Ill go somewhere else.

My son absolutely loves coming here, weve been a few times. The guys who work there arent especially customer friendly, they are like regular guys who supervise the place, which kind of fits the atmosphere, but when theres a problem with the machines they will try to fix it or give you extra tokens. There will be problems with the machines! I used a groupon deal and received two vouchers for $27 which gave us 120 tokens, we still have about three rolls left after a 2 hour visit each time. The place isnt really anything special but its perfect for what it is and a lot of fun.Parking was easy the few times we went and one time was during the kids spring break, after 5 pm they offer free parking in their back lot. The arcade games itself had a good selection of old school games, and newer games (From Ms. Pacman to FPS like games like Jurrasic Park or Time Crisis 3). It is not the most sanitary place, as the Male restrooms have no soap dispenser. There are vending machines that give water and light snacks. It says that the arcade has customer parking, but I couldnt find it. It opens early and closes late, which is cool. And the DDR machine is usually available when I come to the arcade. There are usually people selling stuff at the side and front of the establishment though. An overall a fun experience, but annoying tradeoffs. (I have no experience with the arcades customer service) (When using the restroom ask the staff where the restroom is so they give you a token to use the restroom)
