We used to come here every day in the summer! We took science classes. I don’t know if this educational opportunity is still offered. This enrichment helped to provide a background and a love of science that eventually blossomed into my brother working as an aerospace engineer. He worked on the Space Shuttle and other projects. He was a genius and a very kind person. His wife described him as “Gold Star”. We miss him greatly.

I really loved this place. Its fun for everyone (even if you arent a fan of science). It would take over a day to see the whole entire museum. Definently the best exhibit is the Space Shuttle Endeavor. Entrance is free, but parking isnt. I dont exactly remember how much parking costs though. They have multiple restaurants, and a store, both really good to check out.

One of the most educational kids activities in entire Los Angeles. We have been coming to Science Center for past 7 years, with both of our kids. Its so much to see and learn for any age of kids, how things work in life and on our planet as well as bunch of stuff about our galaxies. I highly recommend to visit this place. Be advised of their is LADC soccer game going on, you will still be able to park for science center, letting everyone know since they do share parking lot.Check it out and have fun. It’s a great science museum but the pride and joy of the California Science Center is getting up close with Space Shuttle Endeavour. It is a joy that the space shuttle is here in Southern California. It was a long journey to get the space shuttle here, an adventure which is recapped in detail by the museum. From a flyby over the Hollywood sign, to towing it down city streets that were barely wide enough to accommodate it, to having it pulled by a sole Toyota Tundra over a freeway overpass, the story of how it got to Exposition Park is fantastic and wondrous. Much of the space shuttles were built in Southern California so it is fitting that the shuttle will live here for the long haul. Seeing the Endeavour in front of me was astonishing — it looked larger than I thought it would and left my jaw dropped and a huge smile on my face. I also got to touch a space shuttle tire that had been in space, which was memorable.

Quite possibly my favorite place--but that might just be nostalgia. It is a good place for field trips, hanging out with friends, and with family. It has many restaurants, smaller museums, and a rose garden near it. There is also some USC dorms nearby. If you either want to go in and learn some science, or walk outside and maybe sit beneath the roses, youll love it.Plus! There is NO hostile architecture in the rose garden, which means you can support it without the worry of supporting classist companies.

While the interactive exhibits at the California Science Centre provide a unique and engaging way for children to learn about science, visitors of all ages will find the many artefacts and displays interesting. The main draw is the Mission 26: The Big Endeavour exhibit that houses the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Here, you’ll see many items and gain knowledge of the mission and the people who made it possible.During your visit, you’ll also see exhibits focusing on technology, nature, and inventions. An Ecosystems exhibit displays a large tank with various marine creatures and plants. While many of the exhibits are permanent, a number of special exhibitions are on display at various times throughout the year, and an IMAX theatre is on site.

Entry is a donation, and absolutely worth the trip. Favourite was the aquarium, so breathtaking. It was really interesting to see a staff member scuba dive during an excursion of kids, and communicate and answer their questions while within the aquarium, and youd see them through the glass. The overall Center is a bit old, thats true, but for a donation entry its very worth the money. Great place to go on a budget. The USS Endeavour was awe-inspiring and very insightful.

Free to enter, $3 to see the shuttle (parking $12). Great exhibits to inspire any kid or adult. This museum is a gem and a resource for the kids of Los Angeles and beyond. The space craft exhibit has scale models of space probes and space capsules. These exhibits are well done and lit very well so you can see a lot of the detail these modern artifacts have.I have always loved this place since I was a boy, and it still impresses me as an adult. We got in the hurricane machine and it was a blast ...see what I did there lol?Ultimately you leave the place feeling full, like you gained a ton of hands-on knowledge.Oh just a side note:They always have an expo going on. King Tut is usually featured. However, a few years back they had the Dead Sea Scrolls. You have to pay extra to get into an expo, but boy Ill tell you what, it was worth every penny! As we entered the calm, dark, cool room, an overwhelming emotion of connection between us and a piece of biblical ancient history, took over our bodies. Every hair stood as we silently gazed in awe of the Scrolls. Slowly walking the floor to see each ripped piece of scripture felt thunderous in our hearts. Great place to bring kids and learn. Specially with events like brick LA. The aquarium is also a must see!

Great place! Parking was $12, but the museum is free. Lots for kids (and adults) to see and do. Our kids favorite was the kelp forest and asking the diver questions. We paid $3/person for the Endeavor exhibit which was great as well. There are a couple other a-la-carte activities that are available for a fee as well. Had a great time!

Nice place to visit. There are some tips to buy an IMAX ticket and it will allow you to see the space shuttle for free! We saw apollo 11 and the Hubble 3d

Five stars is not enough always a great place to visit. Not just the traveling exhibitions that visit, (we saw king tut) but the IMAX movies the, permanent displays, the space shuttle standing up, all of it you simply have to go there. Spend the day! Good disabled access, good parking, it was all good.

I came through LA during the last week of November and had to stop by to see the shuttle. I am a space fanatic and although there are science museums and other neat attractions where I am from, theres nothing like seeing a shuttle in person. Thank you for helping preserve history and to show it in such an interesting way. I scanned through other exhibits of the center and was very impressed with the collection.

The Dogs exhibit was fun and interactive I recommend it for adults and kids. There was a lady working inside the painting area inside the exhibit that was very nice. There is also a rose garden within walking distance from the science center if you want to pack a lunch and eat it there.

Not the best science center weve been to. But for free, I cant complain. Not free parking, though.Clean. Friendly staff. The kids had fun

Cant beat free admission! This place is so much fun for kids (and adults). You can learn so much about different topics and have a great time while doing so. There is definitely lots to see and everything is interactive, which is perfect for children, since they like to touch everything they see! There are even live starfish and sea urchins in touch tanks. Add this on your list of places to see/things to do when youre visiting from out of town with kids!
