The place is great with many rooms and friendly and helpful staff. The only downside is that their gym is small. Other than that, great place.

Great hours and a wide variety of equipment with enough machines to ensure that you wont be waiting in line. Doors close 45 minutes prior to shut down. Always kept clean with peppy background music. Has store that sells protein shakes but bring your own because those are over-priced. Also has locker-room with showers and saunas. The lockers cost 50 cents to lock but no one will steal your stuff if you leave your locker unlocked.

I honestly dont see myself in any other other gym. Not the cheapest place nor the most expensive but the level of expertise of the trainers coupled with clean facilities make me coming here again and again!

Not a bad gym. Lots of people go but weight area is good. Lots of cardio machines. Not enough places to bench or deadlift when its busy. We have an outside area, squash courts, gymnastics room, different classes during the week. People dont judge you for lifting light or heavy af here.

Weight room is pathetically small given how many people use this gym. Theres always an abundance of cardio machines, but only 3 bench press racks in a gym for a campus with over 40,000 students. Good luck trying to powerlift if you visit the gym between the hours of 2 PM and 10 PM like a normal person.

They lack a lot of things at this gym. They do not have enough equipment and they are missing a lot of the free weights (their are no 5 lb, 10 lb, and sometimes no 15 lb). I am a female so I can not use either of the two available 20 lb weights when it is my shoulder day. They also do not have enough machines for the amount of people they have. At any other gym I will spend about 40-45 minutes lifting, but here it usually takes 1 hr and 30 minutes. The cardio section is ok, but you should add more stair masters as well. However, the bathroom is very nice. But that is not why I go to a gym.

Large, well equipped gym. The summer membership is pretty cheap as well. Not to mention the discounted rates for recent alumni

Maybe you guys are used to speaking down to students, but alumni in general arent going to take incompetence (not even knowing what people are eligible for) and a lack of an even reasonably courteous attitude.

This has pretty much got everything. Amazing college gym, especially as it’s included with your Bruin card.$35 for a class pass per quarter. Most of the classes are pretty good too. Barre, Pilates, dance, toning, aqua classes etc. It’s awesome that they have a barre class as those are so expensive usually. Just wish they’d add a boxing / boxfit class! Havent used the locker rooms / showers so can’t say anything about them.

The gym is great with all the equipment you could ever need. There are locker rooms, showers, sauna, and a large basketball court. However, dealing with the recreation cashier department was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I have ever had. I created a recreation account but typed my id card number incorrectly. I called the cashier department (rarely picks up), and they told me to resolve this issue in person. I go in person and they tell me to call them the next morning. I once again call and they rudely tell me to meet them in person. Finally, I meet them in person again and the staff claims there is nothing they can do. This time I was persistent they look into the issue... all they had to do was change my id card number on my account and the problem was fixed. This took a whole month for a fix that took a matter of 10 seconds. My emails sent are still unreturned.

Best public university in California. My son went here to study Anthropology and completed his BA in less than 4 years. The school supported him home away from home. Pround of you Jackson! Congratulations from mom, dad, stacey, uncle tim, uncle krauss, aunt amy and grandma and grandpa
