My Husbant and I visited some family members in Alhambra, when they decided to go to Hollywood. Since we have our daughter with us, we settled with visiting this wonderful little park, tucked away just east of Alhambra.

Very nice place to go to with family. There is a group of kids that might bother you. I seen them throw fireworks at a family passing by. And I took 2 stars off because of the pool area. They Will annoy you. They will try to kick you out for anything.

Staff here is great! Lifeguards are fantastic with the children, strict with pool rules and the place is clean. Id give it 5 stars but the surrounding park to the community pool is unfortunately occupied by gangsters and homeless.

Brought kids here for the pool but didnt like that if dad and i werent swumming or didnt have a swimsuit we wernt allowed to go in to the pool area we had to watch our kids from the outer gated park area . Not ok at all parents should be with theyr children regardless.

Central Park Recreation Center,Park is a nice little treat hidden behind the Kaiser Permanente complex on Sunset Bl. with views of the iconic Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory. As you enter through the inconspicuous entrance off Hollywood Bl. winding roads guide you to convenient parking around the park. Choose the lower lot for hiking and exploring or the upper lot to view Frank Lloyd Wrights Hollyhock House... either way, you wont be disappointed. The park also contains a theatre and a childrens library, but the jewel is the Hollyhock House. Tours of the interior of he house are available, but I elected to walk the perimeter and take in the stunning lines of this FLW design completed for oil heiress Aline Barndall in the 1920s. I tried to imagine an earlier day when this fabulous dwelling sat on Olive Hill with no urban activity around...
