A true icon of the area that perfectly complements the Hollywood experience. Extremely beautiful on the inside and an easy to navigate theater. The stage itself, lighting, sound etc are great. I was there for a musical called “Anastasia” - highly recommended. Try to not need to use the restroom though, the line is probably longer than the play itself. It’s also a 10-15 minute walk to the Chinese theater and hard rock caffe but the walk itself is not the best.

We just went and saw Miss Saigon, and it was amazing. The props and set up was so intricate. Everything was insanely professional. Other than that, I have seen The Lion King and Wicked here, and those were both great as well. The Pantages is an awesome theater, with great seating, and beautiful decoration. The ceiling is really cool, and its lit up blue, to make it look like natural lightning. They have it set up to where everyone can see, no matter where you are in the house. We had really wonderful seats, and that were very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back:)

One of the best preserved examples of classic Art Deco architecture in Los Angeles, its iconic location near the corner of Hollywood and Vine, and consistently high quality Broadway productions make The Pantages a must see for almost any visitor to Hollywood.Pro-tip: If your show has an intermission and you need to use the restroom, immediately make your way there. When you imagine going to the theatre, this is where your mind attempts to create. The lavish art deco design transports you to a glamorous era. Every nook and cranny is filled with beautiful design. Ive seen The Phantom of the Opera and Anastasia here and both times I was completely blown away. Only the best productions get a chance to run here. The stage production is on a level I hadnt seen before. A combination of well animated screens perfectly hidden in the set and large, well executed set pieces, emerse you in the production. Reasonably priced concessions and helpful ushers only add to the experience. Tickets can be found at very reasonable prices and last minute most of the time. If you havent seen a show here, give yourself the gift of the experience.

The theater has security lines so make sure to get there about 20 minutes before the show to use the restroom, grab a snack (movie theater prices to say the least) and find your seat. Preposterous, pretentious, and wonderful. Nearly a Gershwin melody. The Pantages is a jewel of Hollywood. Whatever the event, play or musical, is enhanced by the classic theater design, history, and ambiance. Great location, Hollywood and Vine metro station and adjoins hotels and restaurants. Easy to make a long weekend of the Pantages, hotel room, good food, and fun.Downside is parking and accessibility from the freeway can be a pain. Lesson learned is plan ahead and arrive early. From the outside the theater is not very impressive, but inside is beautiful, clean, and well kept. The lobby and theater are well lit, so you should have no problem finding your way. If you are unable or have difficulty walking up and/or down stairs, then I do not recommend you purchase any seats in the mezzanine/balcony section. As they do not have any elevators. Not sure if there are steps or ramp in the orchestra section. The staff was very kind and helpful locating your seats. My only real gripe with this theater are the actual seats. If you think an airplane has cramped seating, then this would shock you, as there is even less room. They are very narrow and rows are so close together at least in the mezzanine/balcony section. Im about 510 180 pounds and with me sitting upright and all the way back in the seat, my knees were hitting the seats in front of me. Overall though, I highly recommend this theater to see a production. My daughter and I had gone there to watch the production of The Phantom of the Opera. As she had never seen it before. This was my fourth time and third time seeing it at the Pantages Theatre. Unfortunately we did not have the best seats. As you can see in the pictures, we had a clear view to the stage. Even after everyone was seated. We were just far away from the stage. The very last row in the mezzanine/balcony.

I took my wife to The Hollywood Pantages for our 1st Wedding Anniversary to watch Hamilton, The Musical, and it did not disappoint! We are die-hard Hamilton fans and weve listened to the original cast performance, nearly 30 times now! Weve got every song of Hamilton memorized, by heart, and yet there is something truly magical, even exhilarating, about watching the performance of Hamilton live. We were laughing hysterically in parts, mesmerized in other moments, moved to tears by the performances of Burn and Its Quiet Uptown, and completely and forever impressed and moved, by the end. The Los Angeles cast members might be just as good as the originals and I do not write that lightly. The excitement and fervor of The American cause for freedom, independence, and greatness has never been so brilliantly retold as Lin Manuel Miranda has done with his masterpiece, Hamilton. And with this musical, a long forgotten yet perhaps most important Founding Father of them all, Alexander Hamilton, has finally had his story and legacy properly told and finally preserved, for good, in this modern-day master work of music, singing, art, culture, ethnicity, diversity, and splendor. If Lin Manuel Miranda is not our generations Shakespeare, Im lost for words for who else to crown with that title!
