Enjoying science and nature without children running around and cutting you in line to see the exhibits?! Its almost too good to be true really. NightLife was an amazing experience -- I must say I was rather surprised at how crowded it was outside even though I arrived about an hour after opening (there was still a line outside to buy tickets), but it is a popular Golden Gate Park attraction so maybe Im not really THAT surprised.

It was about $35 and worth it in this case.In particular Guinness was a nice fun activity with lots of interesting things to see inside. Billy Mitchell has fabricated many records, and submitted a video for his Arcade record which is easily proven to be done on an emulator. Not sure why his records were reinstated. Todd Rogers verified his records, and he was banned as a judge after submitting impossible times and scores on many games.

The admission price is steep for what you’re getting, so I’d splurge for the VIP pass that gets you into this, Ripley’s and the Hollywood Wax Museum for a full day of fun. Full disclosure, I didn’t do that but bought tickets throughout fundraising auction so I was at a meter instead of at an all day parking lot and I honestly could have used more time here! The first floor has some cool exhibits and a lot to read that is lost on younger children (I was with my five year old)... but they have some fun things for those kids to do like how many hits of a drum can you do in a given amount of time. The second floor has TONS of fun games! Like an arcade but you can play anything as much as you want without extra fees. I would imagine this would be terrible if super busy but it was just fine for us. We didn’t have to wait long. The basketball game was my favorite just because I could play those all day. They had a cool movie too. Then back to the bottom is pretty much the end. I wish it were larger but it was fun! I’d be mad if I paid $26 for just this though! Spend the extra 9 or 10 and go to all three museums.

Felt very outdated and quite a few of the records are already broken. Coolest thing is at the entrance and free, the 5.5 ton marble globe that floats on water. Could see kids enjoying it, quite a few activities for them to do but as adults I could of missed it and not really cared.

I have to say, not amazing...About a 10 minutes walk through museum..(with stoping)About 15-20 with games too.I would recommend to go to a near by museum could Believe it or notA very nice place, has more interactive attractions and is bigger (longer) and I at least found it more interesting a fun then the Guinness museum.

If you plan on visiting either Guinness museum, Riplets, or Madam Trudeaus wax museum then you might as well purchase the VIP pass that gets you into all 3 museums. For an adult it’s $25 for one single museum or $35 for all 3. Might as well! They are all in the same vicinity too.I liked the Guineas best out of the three because it’s more interactive. There are many stations where you can interact with games and things. Very cool especially with my young child.Highly recommend!

(disclaimer: 25 year old male who went by himself)I had some time to kill so I thought I would check this place out given I used to love the books when I was younger. I was very disappointed, the museum was pretty small and felt very outdated exemplified by the CRT monitors throughout. There was minimal interactive sections and ma y of the records where wrong/oldE.g. (from my general knowledge, Im sure there are many more examples)1.Turkish Lira the.least value currency (hasnt been corrected since 2005 due to a redenomimation)2 Kepil Dev best cricket alrounder (this is an opinion and stats dont even back it up)3.Hong Kong the largest airport terminal (Dubai is 3x as big)Overall I thought this would be a bit of fun as a time killer as the concept has great potential but I feel like they dont care and just want to make money.I cant really remember going if your similar to me given the price.

Came with my wife and friend during our brief stay in LA. We visited as part of the package deal to see the wax museum, Ripleys Believe it or Not museum, and Guinness world records museum. This museum was the shortest and had some facts that I thought were outdated. But to make up for it, they had some fun interactive games that had some competition with other people.

Ive been a fan of Guiness Books my whole life and couldnt wait to go to the museum in Hollywood. I went with my family 3 kids ages 5-13 and hubby, non of us were thrilled. There were a few parts that really were interesting and neat to read and a section on human bodys at their most extreme (tall, short, overweight, hairy etc). We spent most of our time in this section because they actually made this part pretty amazing with the display and interactive things. The tallest man and smallest woman was our favorite display. Oh and we cant forget Michael Jackson who has his own alcove with his records, a case with one of his hats he wore when inducted into the guiness book, and his music playing. I guess there is something for everyone. Fun place to blow an hour or 2.

They have fun challenges and games to play that will keep you in for longer then advertised (24 minutes) me and my girlfriend stayed for almost 2 hours reading and watching what they had. Floor 2 had a bunch of games to play that you dont need to pay for once you are in the museum.

This location is fun for the whole family, but while going through, I came across a few errors, that could easily be fact checked by a google search. I love Guinness world records and collect all the books so I was looking forward to seeing this place. Sadly though it wasn’t as big as I’d expect it to be. Still worth a visit if you’re interested but just a little disappointed it didn’t have much to offer.

Visited here recently and while we enjoyed ourselves we found several issues. This Museum and the one next door, the Ripleys Museum, had many of the exact same exhibits. Sometimes they even contradicted each other. Such as the fattest man. One Museum says its one person at a specific weight and the other Museum says it is a different person at a different weight. Pretty sad since you know that at least one of them is wrong and they tried to portray themselves as 100% accurate.

GROSSLY INACCURATE!!!There are DOZENS of outdated records!Longest bridge- NOT the Golden Gate! The Golden Gate lost the record in 1964! (they havent updated???)Tallest statue: NOT the statue of liberty! There are statues hundreds of feet taller!Heaviest people- COMPLETELY OUTDATEDOldest man- the museum has a display about 120yo Shigechiyo Izumi, but Guinness Records WITHDREW THIS in 2012 because it was unverifiable (also the oldest person was 122 so its stupid that they only show the oldest man)And those are just a few!I know updating records costs money but people are paying for ACCURATE information! Absolute disgrace!

A dull and boring place to visit. There were many interactive displays but most of them were broken or didnt function. Most of the other displays were simply information sheets stuck on the wall, meaning the venue was basically like reading the actual book - not much fun, and nothing to look at. Big rooms that are pretty empty, and even one that was completely black with a big non-working screen on the back wall - nothing else, not sure what it was supposed to be. Dont waste your time and money visiting this venue, just go next door to Ripleys which is a great deal more entertaining.

The wife and I had a very unpleasant experience here yesterday, occasioned by a problem that could have been resolved very quickly and easily. However, the front counter attendant immediately adopted a hostile attitude, provoking a situation that should not have occurred. She should have been happy to address the situation in the name of good customer relations. We had her call the manager in. He eventually fixed the problem, but it was an angry struggle, and it became quite clear that his training was woefully inadequate. The manager mentioned that they have a problem sometimes with angry customers getting violent with the employees. I would bet that at least some of that could be avoided with better training and a better culture of customer service/satisfaction. Given how we were treated and how upset we got about it, its not really surprising to hear that people sometimes lose control like that.Come on, Guinness, get it together! You owe it to your employees and to the public to do better.
