Bring water

Moderate up and down trail offering views of Los Angeles, Hollywood, Glendale etc. Similar to the views from atop Griffith Park, but west of the Hollywood sign. The Wisdom Tree, gained its name whether deservedly or not, by being the lone tree to survive the Hollywood Hills fire back in the late 2000s. This probably has to do with the fact that it is at the highest point of the hill, is not surrounding by much shrubbery, and has an attractive shape. Under the tree, are a couple boxes, filled with notes, letters, and momentos left by previous visitors.- Parking: Street parking along the street leading to Lake Hollywood, which is just a reservoir. Ample and depending how far down by the lake you park, you will have a longer walk up the sidewalk to get to the trailhead.- Terrain: Narrow and rocky. Possible to take some hard tumbles, so watch your step in some places. All uphill / all downhill. One switchback.- Other: At the top, the trail diverges. The left takes you to the Wisdom Tree and the right takes you to the Hollywood Sign.The trail and the area around the tree is touristy and heavily populated especially on the weekends. If you enjoy socializing, this is a great trail to chat it up with people. The vibe is really chill and just an FYI, the demographic is generally under 50.

Nice hike!!

Hiking to Cahuenga Peak is a must-do for anyone living in the greater Los Angeles area. The initial climb is rather steep, but it is relatively flat between the Wisdom Tree and the other peaks. There is smaller climb between Cahuenga Peak and the Hollywood sign.

Did this hike while visiting my kiddo in LA. Loved it. Was definitely a challenge, but Im a newbie to hiking. Brought lots of water which was much needed. Well worth the gorgeous views at the top. Highly recommend!

Quick but steep hike. Really good for a morning hike.

Insane views. No you cant get on top of the Hollywood Sign, but its nuts, because the sign is a few feet away
