Pretty good place to anchor in for a few! Bartender was a nice young lady, there was a chatty gentleman sitting nearby sharing his life story, but he was entertaining if nothing else. Didnt eat, just drinking my lunch today

Had an event at The Dojo of Comedy, located upstairs at The Sycamore Tavern. Great little room. Good for about 80 people, and has its own bar. Show was great, drinks were good, and the buffalo spring rolls I had were definitely memorable.

Service is prompt even when they are busy. Service is typically good. It has a nice feel to it. Food is similar to a cafe in Indianapolis I liked.

It was so appetizing. staff treated us so kindly. the place has an awesome atmosphere. atmosphere is like a restaurant in fort worth i loved.

I came here for a sports event and sat at a booth. Service is pretty slow at the booth. The waitress left glasses from the previous customers at ours and took 15 min to clean it up before we could get menus.From what I understand if you sit at the bar theres better service.Prices were $10-20 for food and beer under $10. Good burgers and lots of parking. But the portions can be small.Watch the bill if you pay cash, since we were given incorrect change.

My wife dragged me out there one night against my desire, but I went. Glad I did, we saw 5 different comedians and if I had seen any of them on Jimmy Kimmel Live at any given time I would think they belonged. They have a nice bar, the place is small and a bit packed, but we had fun and will be back.

Our dinner was exquisite and our server as good as any Ive had in LA in a lifetime of restaurants. We passed on dessert but they all looked fantastic. However, they went above and beyond. The managements quick response and attitude felt genuine and made me feel like a valued customer.

Great Comedy upstairs AND downstairs as well as UFC fights for only 10 bucks! The guys that work there are great! Foods good too. I love the Buffalo cauliflower

New place for me and what a find ! Bartender suggested the meatballs OMG Beyond they came with pizza rolls with garlic parmesan cheese homemade marinara and it tasted like it was made in house. Totally suggest this place great music good prices and happy hour and the parking free always

I attended the open mic here. Its where the comics who cant get into the Comedy Store go to soak their sad egos in each others excuses. Dont get me wrong. There were talented comics, but the vibe was soaked in alcohol and weed, dulling even the sober stars from shining. No respect was established or enforced, leading to frustrated comics, who just wanted to be heard, reaching their breaking point.

Been here multiple times and each visit has gotten better. The place has a nice vibe and very pretty back yard especially if you can snag one of the canopy tables.

Great! Had a great dinner toniod aght with friends at Firefly. Good fond great vibe. We encountered one problem, but the management was very responsive and showed concern in correcting it. Looking forward to returning soon.

This place has an excellent happy hour until 8pm and when its not happy hour they have reasonably priced drinks for LA. The food is tasty and there is comedy in the neat back area (the Dojo room) on select nights. Its a super fun and chill space. Also, there is FREE on site parking! Seriously, so much parking in this giant lot.Get out eat some food and watch some comedy and dont worry about parking tickets. If you plan on taking advantage of all the cheap and delicious drinks; please make your responible friend drive or get an lyft.

Loved this place from the first taste. Prices are reasonable. Food is like a restaurant in Louisville I loved.

Good bar food selection, okay beer selection, great cocktails, free parking, and comedy shows 6 nights a week. The staff is above par. And you never know who you might see at a show.All of that is still true, however, if you are female I highly suggest you either go in a group or with a male friend. If you are comedian there are open mics most nights, but they are pay to play.

Great food, great service, and the best Eagles bar that I have found on the west coast. The place gets ecstatic during games! The Tavern Burger is the way to go if you are looking to enjoy a great meal. Best bar environment by far!

Came in to the Sycamore Tavern to see a comedy dojo event held there.The event was held on the second floor, which was a cozy tavern with an intimate stage to one side and a full bar off to the side and access to a menu from their kitchen was great too.For our party of three, we ended up ordering 4 drinks along with 3 items off the menu and enjoyed the evenings performanceand venue.

Dojo comedy upstairs is fantastic! Strong drinks and delicious beer on tap. They have a parking lot for you to actually park in!!! Never happens off sunset blvd and gotta love it when it does.

The walking dead of bars. Grab a drink while homeless people shuffle just outside the door, like zombies. Inside, youll find a few other survivors scattered about, holding onto their cheap beers and looking depressed. With so many better places, with better atmosphere, why spend your money here?

Free parking, which is rare in Hollywood. Great pizzas and beer selection. Service is awesome. Ask for the bartender named Capp. Hes the best!

Fun bar/restaurant with lots of board games and Stone Delicious on tap (Ive never seen it on tap anywhere else before). Great spot for meeting a friend as well as for larger groups. Looking forward to trying the food next time!

Sandwich was good when I finally was able to order. Sat at the bar and it took over a half hour of bartenders running around before I could order a beer. NBA finals were on and it was hopping, but couldnt​ get a menu or order until after the game ended, and I got there at half time. But food was good ....after 3 beers and that much time the counter would have been good.

This place should be a Hollywood Icon...formerly known as Acapulco and then Happy Ending...it is a big place with great food...and Dojo Comedy Room ...upstairs in the back...Love this place. I have had many a great laugh here and seen some of the best comedians perform...+ Free Parking!

Dont hesitate. I went during an OSU bowl game event and was very impressed with the food, staff & service while they were under pressure with a full house. Probably the cleanest cutlery I have seen in LA. Best paper napkins. Sweet waitstaff/hostess and aware/active bartenders. Will return!

The Sycamore Tavern is where you go on a day like, say, Halloween, when dressing up sounds miserable and all you want is to watch the Dodgers beat the Astros. This is where you go for that.The happy hour is generous, and the beer and food are all satisfactory. The bar service gives a feeling of personal space without neglect. Somehow you seem among friends here, but you probably wont talk to any of these people ever again.I would recommend this for watching sports and hanging out in Hollywood when youre not looking for high brow cuisine or academic crowds. Its just relaxing.

Loved this bar. Gave it a 5 star not for style or being flashy but because it was a cool bar to hang out at and have a couple of drinks with awesome staff and the best pulled pork burger Ive ever had!

The previous business, Happy Endings, reached its ending. After being here for about a decade and on its last breath it finally made way for a new, fresh concept to take its place. Sycamore Tavern is a classier, upgraded bar that caters to a more mature crowd. It still has the classic pool table in the back and the same island bar, but the bar top has been renovated with a nice metal and marble theme. Sycamore Tavern features hand crafted cocktails with fresh ingredients, a diverse selection of local and craft micro brews, and an impressive food selection. The food menu is actually very impressive for a tavern; with items ranging from classic bar foods such as hot soft pretzels to fish fillet, smoked chicken wings, salmon, and even 16 pizzas.When I arrived I was personally greeted by George behind the bar. This guy remembered not only my name but also my drink tastes, what was going on in my life at the time, what I do for a living, and all of this from many many months ago on a busy night when I visited the old business. Ive always said, anyone can learn to mix a drink, its increasingly rare to find bartender who can really tend bar. On that same note I had the pleasure of meeting Vinnie whos personality and charm create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. With a professional, personable, attentive staff its hard to go wrong no matter the venue.It is very likely this will become my new regular spot. I highly recommend it whether you are an old fan of Happy Endings or new to area and looking for a place to relax and make your home away from home. Cheers!

The remodel is phenomenal! The food, drinks, and decor have all been elevated, and the service is spectacular. This is my home away from home, and a great place for football. Try the new fish sandwich, its sooooo yummy.
