Learned a ton about the Littleton area. I took my teenage daughter there, and she found it facinating.
Wonderful museum full of local history and much more. The man and woman inside were friendly and knowledgeable about everything in the museum. They played the organ and Victrola for us, incredible!
Definitely worth the stop if youre sightseeing around Littleton. They have a nice display about the railroad through Crawford Notch, gorgeous Victorian dresses in great condition, old military uniforms, fire dept section, local art and also 20th century exhibits. The curator is fantastic. He clearly loves what he does and will answer any questions you have.Open Wednesdays and Saturdays as of this posting. Go on in the building and down to the basement. The whole floor is the museum. It was much larger and well organized than I thought it was going to be. Plus it is free!
Must see! Join a live walk of the town with Professor Alberini if you can.
