Went to see the Blue Man Group. It was a very nice experience. All of the folks who were there to assist us were very helpful. There was a little mix up in the tickets we were accommodated with what I thought were way better seats! All in all it was a fun event for all ages.

We saw Post Modern Jukebox. It was a wonderful show. The acoustic of the Lied Center needs work. The other thing that needs work is the mens restroom. The room is too small. Too few toilets and too many urinals. When my shoulder is touching the guy next to myself thats too tight. There was a long line to use the toilets because of how you are packed in to use the urinals.

I believe I can offer a unique perspective. Even though I have watched NUMEROUS shows at this facility, I have performed at this venue multiple times as well. The backstage dressing rooms are fantastic-- they are equipped with mirrors, sinks, restrooms, etc. Theres even a green room! Regarding the stage, it is not huge, but certainly a good size, especially from the audiences perspective. From the audiences perspective, most of the productions are wonderful. Great sound quality, acoustics, lighting, effects, and talent! The ushers are kind and courteous. There are pillows to borrow (free of charge) when viewing the performance. There is also an observation room at the back of the theatre. Concessions are sold, and usually some sort of keepsake boutique item is sold as well. There is a coat/bag check-in (optional) as well. Often times, there is a discount code for tickets that can grant you up to 50% off, without being a Season Pass holder-- and yes, you can purchase individual tickets. :)I highly recommend the Lied Center if you are a prospective ticket buyer! Trust me, you will not regret your decision.Going to see Phantom of The Opera with one of my childhood best friends this weekend, and could not be more excited! Hope to see you there.---------------------------------------------------------Note: This review is neither sponsored, nor endorsed by the Lied Center for Performing Arts of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Its cool they display Art in the building. I do like the lighting from the outside. The staff were helpful in finding our seats. The sign for food and beverage were confusing and there were different signs that displayed. I do feel they could take a few pieces of advice from the Orpheum (Omaha, NE) since they are both Theaters.

I cant describ the lied center witg words. It is the main art hub in Lincoln. Great shows. I watched the Phantom of the Opera about a week ago (as a student of UNL, I got a free ticket to the show as part of Arts for All program) well, it is a. Amazing place planning to go tonight to :)

Brilliant lighting, set and the stage is very spacey. I came here to watch the Phantom of the Opera with my cast and and crew for One Act. The actors put on a beautiful show. I loved everything about this experience and would watch it a thousand times over. Thank you for such an amazing performace.

Made my first trip to the Lied center to see Phantom yesterday, and neither the show nor the facility disappointed. As others mentioned, the central location is ideal for dining before or after the show, and offers ample parking at reasonable rates ($5 for event parking at a nearby garage). The seats we had afforded us an excellent view of the stage (and the chandelier... great set piece). The sound was incredible, and I cant say enough how nice it was to have so much leg room! It is definitely not like being crammed into the tight rows of the Orpheum theater in Omaha or other older theater houses. The seats were incredibly comfortable.I was surprised they allowed drinks and snacks (oh, the smell of those roasted cashews was delightful) back into the theater after intermission, but it was a happy surprise to be able to sip hot coffee during the final act.The show is deserving of its own 5-star review, but a lot of its success has to be derived from the site of the performance, and in this regard the Lied center shined as a brilliant co-star. I look forward to going back for more performances later this season!

This is a really nice theater. Seats are comfortable and visibility is good. Restroom facilities are large enough to accommodate the crowds with limited wait times. At a recent musical performance the sound was a little muddy at times, but was good in general. Plenty of parking in the nearby area to accommodate even full house events. Lots of employees or volunteers are available to help you find your seat quickly and easily.

I have been attending performances at the Lied Center for as long as I can remember and have always had a 100% positive experience.Recently I have been shown even more reason to appreciate it.Besides the gorgeous acoustics, elegant style, and ease of access. The people have shown me such kindness.I attended the Lincoln Symphony Orchestras performance of Antonin Dvoraks New World Symphony. At the time I was the 2016-2017 Miss Czech-Slovak US Queen, and attended in my kroj (Czech/Slovak dress)Maestro Polochick was doing a pre-concert talk in the commons area, and when he saw me he pulled me up in front of everyone and had me speak on behalf of the cultural preservation of the Czech and Slovak cultures, particularly through music. After this many staff members came up to me and expressed their deep appreciation, and I simply wanted to turn it around and express my thanks to them.

Good location, tons of parking nearby. Lots of events to go see all year, and recently priced. Seats are comfy and you have great views from all over the venue. Bathrooms are plentiful, clean, and located both top and bottom floors. The seats are comfy, and somewhat roomy for a theater. Tons of food options close by to make a good evening of the visit! Might need a jacket inside as the AC seemed to be on and it was January, could have been a fluke.

This review is based on watching the touring production of Rent 2019. The Lied Centers auditorium is large and spacious. Im not sure if there is a bad seat in the house, mine was very nice. Plenty of leg room and could see everything without obstruction. The issues I encountered were the lack of theatre discipline by the center. People were on their phones, talking, using their flashlights and flashes. At no point did any usher make any comments or chastise the attendees for ruining the experience for everyone else. In fact they helped by using their own flashlights to blind the audience members. In addition, the tickets stated that latecomers would not be able to enter at any time and would have to wait for appropriate pauses. However, the distractions caused by people shuffling in at all manner of time was incredibly annoying. So if youd like to see a touring Broadway production, Id recommend you go somewhere else.

Always love seeing shows here. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The seat numbers can be confusing at times (i.e. there is a left orchestra seat 5, center orchestra seat 5, and right orchestra seat 5) so you need to pay attention to your specific section! Definitely not a deal breaker though, just something to be mindful of!

The play I went to go see was pretty awesome, but I felt that they (as in the lied center) didnt shock the theatre appropriately. Shock in this context means to overly cool the stadium down with AC before it is filled with people. In most places I have been where they are expecting hundreds if not thousands of people this is the common practice so as to keep every one comfortable. Body heat with that many people is no joke. The production was amazing! No joke I and the people I went there with were very sweaty and uncomfortable because of the heat.

Be prepared for harassment and verbal abuse from fellow viewers. Be prepared for you and your family to be removed from your seats and be placed at the back of the theater, if you do not meet the high-brow ideals. Not a place for Midwesterners who work hard for their money, save for tickets, and make going a real cherished memory.
