Have only shot guns twice in my life. Both have been at this range. The last time I was there on the range with my handgun, my shot was off to the left. One of the range staff noticed and helped me understand how to properly aim with both eyes open/finding my dominate eye/etc. I was very impressed and thankful for his help. You can tell these people really care about their customers. I cant wait to go back!

Have been to the shooting range twice now. First was the first time I had ever fired a handgun. The second time I took my wife. Both times the employees were very helpful and assisted my wife and I.Good selection of guns to rent if you dont have one and just want to try a couple out.Very knowledgeable and friendly. Ended up purchasing our first gun from them after getting purchase permit. Would highly recommend.

Took a CCW class here and it was great! We were provided lunch (pizza, salad, and beverages), which was unexpected but a very nice touch.The staff is extremely knowledgeable and involved in their community. The owners are also military veterans so I was happy to support them.Thanks for the great experience! I will definitely be back for some shooting!

Great place to shoot. I also took a C.C. Class here. I have purchased two new Sig Sauer hand guns and many accessories from Big Shots. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have some disabilities to overcome when I shoot. I am also a beginner/novice when it comes to pistol shooting. I have received many useful shooting tips from several of the range folks. Yes the prices might be $30 or $40 bucks higher on guns than the Box stores but the shooting instructions and customer service are well worth it...Buy American... Buy Local...

Great staff looking to help you learn! Also great rental prices on firearms($10) and suppressors($5). If you would like to shoot a full auto they had an MP5, p90, SCAR 16, UZI and more to rent.. I had an issue with one of my personal firearms while on the range and Jim helped resolve it right then and their. I expected to pay a few bucks for the service but they didn’t even charge me. I would absolutely come back to purchase a firearm/suppressor, or to just shoot at the range.

Ive been here countless times on Date nights, or just to browse their selection or to complete an AR Build. The staff is fantastic and always helpful and knowledgeable. The range is deep and nice and allows a large selection of rifles / pistols. Ive never ever had a bad experience there!Great place to take a date to!

Great place, very clean and organized. Only hiccup was after we watched the video of their rules the employee told us what lanes we had and then went back to the front counter. Being our first time at their range a little direction of where the lanes are would of be better. But still great that’s why the five stars!

I am a retired law enforcement officer and customer from BigShots’ first day in business. They have always impressed me with their professional service, ability to recommend the right firearm and their fair prices. I have also recommended the concealed carry training at BigShots for several years to family and friends, with extremely positive feedback. I recently took the time to attend one of their concealed carry classes to see what the excitement was about as well as for the purpose of ongoing training. Justin and Dorothy from Nebraska Shooters along with Teri Clark from BigShots provided the training. From the instant the class started it was about safety. Very impressive.In an 8-hour class, not one minute was wasted. Initially the focus was on handling a firearm then shooting competency finishing up with closely supervised shooting on the range with special care for several students who had little or no shooting experience. Teri gave a very informative presentation on holsters and the safe concealed carry of a firearm. The afternoon session included presentations on situational awareness, avoiding attacks, controlling psychological reactions to threats, stages of confrontation, working through deadly encounters and the actual use of deadly force. Justin and Dorothy were even able to review car safety and carjacking prevention. This was well organized and worthwhile training no matter the experience level of any attendee, even for retired law enforcement.

I was visiting Lincoln,NE from Virginia and chose Big Shot Shooting Range to sight in 3 new weapons, red dot and laser devices were new.The staff were great and very helpful. Some ranges I have been to the Range Masters can be real jerks, not at Big Shot. What a pleasant experience. The counter staff was helpful too. Highly recommend Big Shot if you are new to the shooting sports.

I bought a holster here. I was very impressed with the customer service. Totally unlike the normal gun stores that you often get. They were helpful and explained stuff. The store was very clean and the selection of rental guns was great , go here to buy your guns and accessories.

This place is the best as far as Im concerned. The fees are reasonable, the people, from the owners to the range safety officers, are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and they run the range very professionally. The facilities are top notch, the equipment is easy to use, and has always worked perfectly for me. I enjoy shooting here a great deal.One last comment; anyone who complains about the thorough safety program and procedures at BigShots, or thinks they are too strict, needs to go somewhere else to shoot, because I dont want them handling firearms around me.

I walked into this indoor range not knowing what to expect and I must say I am highly impressed with this facility. Very helpful staff. I dealt with Toby and Steve and they were nothing less than pleasant to deal with. Great gentleman. The facility is very clean, professional, and well maintained. Military friendly. Great selection of ammo to buy and a even better selection of firearm to buy and rent. I could go on but I wont. Go see for yourself how magnificent this indoor range is. 5 star rating hands down!

I usually just shoot out on some land my parents own, however in the winter Im a big wimp and cant stand the cold. My first experience with Big Shots was GREAT. Walk in and youre greeted at the front counter, fill out paperwork and watch a quick video regarding safety and rules (mandatory for first time customers at the facility). Staff were very helpful and ready to answer any questions. The store is stocked with great merchandise, the range is well maintained and it honestly exceeded my expectations. I went with my brother, we shot for 30-45 minutes and I think it cost a total of $17 or so. I will be back!!

The staff is top notch! The owners are even available for questions and answers and everyone is always willing to go up and beyond to make sure your questions are answered. I buy all my Pistols and accessories here, and the only mistake I made was not purchasing my first fire arm from big shots. I shoot here regularly and everyone in the range take their job seriously and are very friendly when asked for tips and advise on shooting. Thanks for everything the team does!!

BigShots Indoor Range is hands down the best in Nebraska! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff! The facility itself is state of the art and has a well lit, climate controlled and well ventilated range. Great selection of firearms from handguns to rifles to shotguns. I personally have purchased 4 firearms from BigShots and will not buy anywhere else. I love keeping my business local and supporting a veteran owned business. If you have not visited BigShots yet, stop waiting and go!!

My wife and I go to Big Shots at least once a week for 3 years. The staff is always friendly, polite and helpful. The range is top notch with 9 lanes. The range rules are sensible for indoor shooting safety. If youre interested in getting your CCW I cant think of a better place. A great shooting experience whether youre a beginner to military experienced.

I was practicing shooting three to four rounds then, changing magazines and getting back on Target and doing it again. Its a self-defense reloading drill that I run every time I go to the range.A man that works there comes up to me as they always do and start trying to boss you around and make up rules that dont exist. They are always very rude and tell you things like people think thats annoying, I have to ask you to stop, i have had to kick people out of here before for that oh really? So what happens when you go in there with an AR-15 and a 30 round magazine?The waiver that I signed and range rules,never said any of the fake rules the employees make up just so they can do their job how it suites them best.The people that are down in the range are very bossy and walk around with their power tripping condescending attitude and G.I Joe radio, and say things that make absolutely no sense like make sure that chamber is empty and I can see it from back here And why would i do that when im going to be firing the gun in 10 seconds after i reload my magazine? I am paying $20 an hour to be here, if i want your opinion on something i will ask for it. They are constantly squeegeeing shells and walking around behind you, commenting on things you are doing, this would be a terrible place to take a girl on a date and try to teach them how to shoot, or your kid for that matter .They would ruin the date and jump in and tell you youre doing that all wrong or you cant do that They absolutely watch you like a hawk and make you feel like you are being stalked. They will tell you its for safety reasons, and they are committed to safety of all of its customers, I agree safety is important but,there is a point where overdoing it is pissing off people and they would rather go somewhere else thats more relaxed and enjoyable.This is a great place to go if you like to be treated like a child even if youve been shooting for 20 years. there are other places in town that have nice people that provide a better atmosphere for seasoned shooters.The employees in the front of the business and the owners are exceptional, polite, informal, and are great but they have a back room problem there.However I will say for a inexperienced shooter that does not own a firearm, that wants to try them out, before they buy that does not know how to shoot, and needs training , this is defiantly the place for you. They offer a nice rage, help is available to you wither you want it or not. I would suggest them in that instance, but get prepared to pay big if you are paying for 2 people renting a gun and buying ammo and targets.

Its an ok range. Probably the best Lincoln has but Its not really a 5 star range. Range price is ok but the stall walls are too small. I dont want some other persons hot brass hitting me while Im doing my own thing. Ammo is over priced and limited selection. With a huge store youd think theyd offer more in the ammo department.

Their shooting range is excellent, and they have a nice store. Their staff are very helpful, nice and knowledgeable. They have shooting leagues during a couple of evenings during the week, and those are fun. Their league nights are not what you might think of when you think of leagues. Their is no league cost (at least I dont recall one, if there is it must be minimal), you just pay a range fee each night you choose to shoot. And there is no obligation to show up every week. You just show up for the leagues as often, or as little as you like.A friend of mine told me he was at their store once and observed a group of a few guys who were acting obnoxious, and who smelled like they had been drinking a little before they arrived. (I certainly dont object to enjoying an adult beverge, but drinking and guns dont mix well.) One of the owners didnt hesitate to tell them to leave and not to come back. That on its own warrants giving them 5 stars.

Everyone is very nice and friendly and the range/store is modern and great. But when I go shoot, I dont need someone breathing down my neck a foot behind me. Sweeping brass as it hits the floor. There are cameras everywhere. If someone was being unsafe, address it. There were 2 of us shooting. No need to be all over us.

As far as shooting ranges go available in Lincoln this is pretty much as good as it gets. They have the biggest showroom of guns and accessories in Lincoln and also the most shooting lanes available. Ive been there many times and the staff are always friendly and courteous and the place always looks nice. Ive broken a few rules at the range when I was first learning how to shoot but the instructors were firm and consistent with their rules. I never felt that they were being rude they were just really cautious and strict about gun safety. I read a previous posters comments about them not allowing the magazine reload practice which I find a bit overcautious and would also have to agree thats a ridiculous rule if they actually enforce it. Other than that I highly recommend this place

Clean, well lit range. I have shot here once before so I didnt have to watch the safety video again. I did have to sign the liability waiver again since it has been over a year since I signed the last one. I didnt need much help but I feel if I needed it the range officer or other employees were very approachable and ready to help.Was just there to shoot, so I didnt spend any time browsing the retail shelves.Next time I plan on doing a little more shooting for accuracy, today was a little more of just breaking in my pistol.Only bad part was people with big boomers in lanes next to me, but thats to be expected at an indoor range. Wasnt too bad after getting used to it.

Owner isnt very friendly and they treat everyone like their noobs. Dont like to do transfers for online sale and their ammo and guns are very over priced wouldnt spend my money or time here again.

I had a negative experience my first time at the range with them prying for to much info and forcing me to watch a video and take a test. Im all for safety, but there has to be an easier way. To top it all off they started to give me a hard time about letting a friend shoot my guns. They went in circles when I questioned that rule and I just decided to leave. Friends have had similar experiences with their range officer as well. Never have any trouble at Thunder Alley, should have stuck with them in the first place.

My first range experience at Big Shots was this past Saturday evening, and I have nothing but nice things to say about the place. My wife and I went on a double date with a couple from our church, and the wife from that couple hadnt ever shot a handgun before. They are thinking about buying a handgun now, so they wanted to try some out. I brought five of our guns along (two 9mms, a .40, a .38, and a 5.56 pistol) and they also rented an M&P 9mm from the range. The facilities are extremely nice, bright, and clean-feeling. This is an excellent place to take a person who has never gone shooting before. The proprietors make every person watch a safety instruction video before they shoot at the range for the first time, and after the video they sell you any additional ammo that you might need and take you back to the range. After walking through the archery range, you don your hearing protection and enter the gun range. It is well-ventilated and bright, and the shooting stall for each lane is well-separated from the next by big partitions, so you dont have to worry about your neighbors brass flying into your face. The controls for the target system are fantastic, and tell you to the half-yard what range your target is at. Basic silhouette targets were complimentary, and the employee acting as range master was quick to bring up replacement targets as needed.All in all, it was a great experience, the facilities are wonderful, and the folks who run the place are friendly and helpful. And unlike Walmart and a lot of gun stores right now, they have ammo in the common pistol calibers available for sale (for range use). Check this place out!

Excellent Classroom and Firing Range training Mr, Dom and Mr.Howard were our primary Instructors and were very patient during the 8 hour course allowing questions and answers which resulted in lots of interactions with the students.Would recommend this training for anyone interested in getting a CWP.Dave AveryGarland Nebraska

I had a rather embarrassing problem with a pair of Glocks. Angie and Dom of the Bigshots team had everything sorted out, Glocks repaired and good to go in just under ten minutes. Fast service, extremely friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely be back!

Safety is key when you come to this range. Also have a decent selection of firearms, and selection of rentals. Any questions you have, they are quick to help and assist.

I went to this place a few months after moving back to lincoln from Fort Worth, TX in October. I thought Texas had the patent on range space and accommodations but reality had to prove me wrong yet again.This is easily, the best indoor range i have been to in Nebraska, maybe anywhere for that matter. Very nice facilities, friendly local couple owner/operating and ammo (.223 ball is what I purchased) cheaper than at walmarts prices. BigShots has put together an excellent mixture of space, equipment, cleanliness and customer service that everyone can appreciate and enjoy.

My first time shooting a gun or even handling one, Brendan walked me through everything and was not at all rushed or condescending when I asked questions. Really made me feel confident and relaxed.

Iv been going here periodically for a year now and absolutely love it. Iv never had any issues with any of the staff and their prices for ammo and targets are on par with any retail store in Lincoln.

My wife and I went to Big Shots for our first indoor range experience. Typically we target shoot on my inlaws farm- I shoot skeet and sporting clays regularly at Lincoln Trap and Skeet, and do long range rifle at the inlaws or at some other areas I have on reserve closer to Lincoln. Only range experience I or my wife had prior.I was very impressed with the friendliness and knowledge of the staff. Place is CLEAN, well lit, and was just a flat out good time. Made for a fun date night. Still havent had the guts to shoot the zombie target we picked up- might have our daughter use that one. The staff and environment made me feel safe as well. I dont hunt or target shoot with most people due to lack of concern for safety, ethics, etc, and was concerned about shooting next to some random Joe or Jane who didnt have the same respect for safety. The staff and fellow shooters were all safe, responsible, and need I say friendly again?!I was informed you can shoot up to 7.62x39, just make sure that you arent using a steel core round. If you can get a magnet to stick to the slug (NOT the casing), its steel core. Ill have to bring our AK next time!Only a 25yd range. No 9mm Makarov ammo on hand. My only gripes if you can even call them that.We will be going back again. Soon I hope.Only advice I have is make sure you have some non tinted shooting glasses- all of ours were tinted since we always shoot outdoors which made it harder to see the target on darker colored areas. Staff went above and beyond by loaning my wife a set of clear glasses.

I drove into Lincoln just to come to the range as I had called multiple times to confirm i could come shoot my guns there without a guardian present, and each time was told that as long as I was 18 I could. Yet when I arrived at the range I was told I could not, they just wasted my time and showed terrible customer service.

From what I noticed in my range-day here, most of the officials have the persona of another guy with a badge so to speak. Lots of condescension from some employees, but others were very respectful and helpful. The ranges themselves are very nice and easy to operate, the area is well ventilated, and sound is taken care of relatively well. For reloaders, the range officials (at least the one in the range I was shooting in) will allow you to save all of your brass, EXCEPT anything that crosses the line. Which brings me to a negative event that I feel is relevant to share. Its fast I promise. I dropped one of the casings for my .44 magnum when emptying the cylinder and it landed about 2 to 3 inches over the line. Since there was a range officer watching me I asked him if i could just nudge that case over to my side with my foot. He said I would have to call a ciece-fire in order to do that, so I did and got the case, but that range officer did everything in his power to make my time there unpleasant. I left shortly later. Now as for the gun selection, they have a lot of base level AR-15s and a few upper level ones, all of them generally high priced, some pistols ranging from small semi-automatic pistols to 44 mag revolvers and the well known Mk21 Desert Eagle 50AE, all generally high priced as well, and maybe one bolt action rifle, which I didnt look into seeing that there was only one. After further investigation I found that I can order the same weapons that were in the store for about 100-200 dollars less. So Ill label their prices on weapons as slightly above retail. (I would not recommend purchasing firearms here) As for ammunition, they have a lot of a little. They have a lot of 9mm, .45ACP, .380s, but not nearly as much of other calibers such as 40 S&W or .357 Sig. Ammunition for revolvers is also scarce.Id like to comment that a lot of the 5 star reviews that you read of this place are from civilians who havent been formerly taught about firearms and experienced in using them. Im not saying all arent but some definitely are. Youll have to make that call for yourself.Overall I would not return considering I can go to private land and make my own outdoor range, which I prefer.Hope this was helpful.
