Appears small from the outside but this place is far more than an aquarium. There are so many exhibits to interact with the animals. You are able to purchase tokens to enter some of the exhibits to get up close and personal. The staff members are very enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable. Probably the neatest Aquarium I’ve ever been to! It’s small, yes, but there was so many things to do with your ticket. You could interact with a lot of the animals for free, some you had to pay extra for. Feeding the animals was only $3 more, which was pretty reasonable. But even if you didn’t want to pay extra, it was definitely worth the price you paid! Highly, HIGHLY, recommend for kids and even adults! It was 4 adults that went and we all loved it. The staff were so sweet and so great!!

We had the BEST afternoon at the SA Aquarium this past week! I want to be sure to give a shout out to 2 ABOVE & BEYOND staff members : Maria and Elena! They MADE our trip! They helped us navigate our first visit through the arcade, exhibits and bouncy place. Our son ran into a not so friendly patron in the jump zone and Maria was quick and professional to handle it ensuring we were able to continue having a great time! We closed the place down! As everyone was cleaning up she assisted us in feeding the Iguanas and called a team member over so the kids wouldnt miss feeding the parakeets.Elena was BEYOND patient with our crew as they divided up their spoils from the arcade 4 separate ways and anything but even in true children fashion! We told her we were new to the area and she was quick and kind to offer suggestions, tell us about the shark week season pass discount and so much more. She is easily the kindest person we have met in the area to DATE!

Hidden gem! Tbh I was putting this place of cause I thought it was small. But boy was I wrong. We came close to closing, but they still made the accommodations to stay a few extra mins for us. We absolutely love the wide selection of hands on things with all the different animals. Also the selection of ballon bounces, and the party room. All the staff were very sweet and helpful. We had to have more of this goodness so we got the membership too. I love that it’s close by and local to our home not far away like most theme parks

Not sure if i want to give 2 or 3 stars. The staff was nice. However i started feeling sad for the animals.the reptiles lizards/frogs were in little tiny tiny spaces and had no room to move around at all. Is this normal? A lot of em looked depressed. The snakes were curled up in small aquariums with not enough room to stretch out. I hope that turtoise is not confined to that little boat. The bunnies dont hsve enough room either. I hope these are all rescue animals and not captured and brought to this prison for profit. I would like to make a recomendation to make the areas bigger for the animals to live a happier life. Sorry for the rant. There are some awesome beautiful wildlife there though. I didnt see any animals outside as it was closed off when i went

I went in expecting a much larger facility, and was initially disappointed by an underwhelming outward appearance and size. Even walking into the first room, it was reminiscent of the lame aquariums you might find in a small town. However, as we progressed through the building, I was surprised at how they managed to make a relatively small aquarium into a modestly enjoyable experience. There are many creatures you are able to touch and interact with, and as many more that you can pay a small fee to feed and learn about up close. This isnt restricted to marine animals, either. The enclosures for the animals appeared quite small, however the animals didnt seem to mind, and looked quite happy. My only true complaint is that they have shoehorned a childrens arcade into the middle of the building, with no relation to the aquarium itself, which is moderately annoying and an eyesore. I guess it is meant to entertain the children who arent interested in animals, however it does taint the aquarium experience a bit.

Ive had the best day of my life here, the animals are well taken care of and the keepers are very informed and knowledgeable about every animal here. They really have what feels like everything here! The rays are super cute and sociable, the little sharks are super cute and flip over so you can pet their tummies, theres just SO much going on here but its all perfectly put together and it made me extremely happy to have an experience here. Amazing place with tons of animals that kids can feed and interact with, but get ready to spend some money. Its just not economical for larger families. Entry fees, then feeding fees for every animal which is the pricey part. If you live in the area maybe the season pass could make it more worth while, but just visiting youve been warned. Would totally get a five star rating if it wasnt such a price gouge.

To call this an aquarium is a far stretch thats like saying my friends house with 4 dogs and a cat and one fish tank is an aquarium. This is about how I felt when I walked in. Not what I expected. I wanted large tanks of various fish fresh n salt.Creative displays and a TX flar.Well there is aquatic life there and not much ..Stingrays was a nicer experience but just go to Sea World a much better value and Im not a big fan of them but a better stop with more to do.Why is there so many land animals..Well they want your $$$ again ..I already felt I over paid after entering, Now you want some tokens to feed our non water animals at a stupid price..Nope ..Vister look at the photos Rabbit Fish lol..I like my bunnys but not at a AQUARIUM. We were charged full price with no warning that half of the animals (all outside animals and a number of inside animals)were unavailable to be seen.Had I known that was the case, I would have gone at a later date. The staff didnt seem interested in helping anyone or even being there.Honestly, the only nice thing I found was feeding the stingrays. They are rather friendly and fun.The animals in cages seemed bored and had no enrichment in their small cages. They had had half off experiences during the week when first open and it seems they had taken it away which was disappointing.Overall, I dont really recommend this unless they eventually get their stuff together and get enrichment for their animals.

The only positive thing I have to say is that foster kids get in for free which is very kind to foster families like us. We greatly appreciate that! However, the exhibits are tiny. It’s disheartening to see the animals in such tiny exhibits. No greenery, nothing. Just a bench in the Lemur cage. Only concrete pads in the cages. My kids enjoyed it but unfortunately it’s a little over priced to walk in and see the animals in tiny spaces.

From the outside and initially walking in, I had my doubts about the place. But once we got inside to the downstairs portion, all doubts were put to rest. This place is amazing for its size and the staff was excellent. You can get tokens to feed animals or have encounters with some. We had encounters with the Sloths which was pretty cool and costed us 40 tokens. If you do not wish for any encounters but maybe feed some fish or other animals, I suggest getting the lowest token package. Feeding the stingrays was pretty fun. Be sure to ask an employee on how to feed them for the best experience.

Its an okay aquarium although, I would recommend going on the weekday because weekend pricing might not be worth it. Great for kids if you want to spend extra on Tokens so you can feed the animals. Its not a particularly big or impressive aquarium and it appears they have more non-aquatic animals than aquatic. Its also entirely indoors which makes the feel a bit dark.

Ive come here every couple of weeks for over a year. The aquarium is a great place to see animals up close and personal. They have a large variety of species, many you wouldnt think went along with an aquarium theme. With the 2 finger rule you can pet most of the animals. The employees have all been friendly and informative, you can tell they love their job working with people and animals. My kids love the iguana jump house filled with 7 large bouncy houses. Its given my family hours and hours of fun and drains the kids energy so they sleep well after a trip to the aquarium .

I guess I’m spoiled by the Dallas World aquarium but I think this aquarium needs some tender care and loving to make it a good aquarium. Being inside what looks like an ex-car dealership, it was all concrete and the decorations were lackluster. The exhibits didn’t seem to have themes either which is disappointing too. At the Dallas aquarium, some areas are dedicated to Australian fish, Indian fish, etc. Some of the exhibits seemed too small for the animals, especially the tortoise that was displayed inside of a fishing boat.My girlfriend and I still made the most of our trip by admiring the ring-tailed lemurs and petting the sting rays, but it will not have a positive lasting impression on either of us. This does not appear to be a reputable aquarium. As a closing thought, the ticket prices were comparable to the SA Zoo, but it not nearly the same experience. It might be worth

Review №28

The name aquarium is not accurate. There are maybe a total of 5-6 small tanks (some with dead fish and dirty water) in the facility (aside from a large sting ray exhibit). There are more exotic animals (lemurs, sloths, etc) here than aquatic wild life. People can feed the animals at all times of day and there is very little lighting and space for the animals to live in. As well, there are a lot of arcade games and even a bounce house, which again does not fit an aquarium theme. All in all, I would not recommend this facility.

Of course they also have some cool sea life, like jelly fish, sting rays, and little sharks. Okay, lets be fair. Im a Californian. I was very underwhelmed by the lack of animals there. Though Michael checked us in and was a big help with my groupon, elder handicap to toddler family; I was disappointed there wasnt a self guide tour map highlighting anything they had, let alone WARNING me my educational FAMILY visit would be interrupted by an inescapable ADDITIONAL COST bounce house. Kind of defeated the purpose for me! Further, you BUY tokens for food for the animals. Sounds fine? Tokens cost more than admission and we were lured to buy them bc more tokens supposedly allowed you to interact with the animals. (What animals? I have no idea.) A token wasnt a quarter, or even a dollar. It was more. And we came home with them. Dang.

I had a season pass last year and when i wanted to renew my season pass they handed me a tablet and had me fill out all of my information. After about 10 minutes my 2 year old and 7 month old began fussing in their stroller. I finally finished the form on the tablet only to get an error message saying I already had and account. So after about 15 mins of getting on my phone and trying to log into my account, it asks me to reset my password. I reset my password and log into my account only to find out I have to repeat the whole filling out the form again process. So after about 30 mins the babies are ready to go, so I left. I think the front desk clerk could have told me to log into my previous account and renew my season pass to avoid the fustration but instead i left with 2 upset babies. Never again.

I do no recommend this Aquarium. We drove about 3 hours from Mexico only to see the Octopus they promote in their website, but when we arrived they staff at the aquarium said they dont have an octopus anymore! (still do in the webpage, even after I complained this weekend. In their webpage in Facebook they dont mention anything about not having an octopus anymore)I feel this is very dishonest publicity , our kids were very sad and disappointed. But we were already there, so we enter. Tickets are expensive (18 adults and 13 kids), considering the pretty bad, small aquarium this is. Is has a bunch of different animals (rabbits, lemurs, lizards...) not related to an aquarium, but the problem was they were in very small cages (seem well care, but not in the correct facilities). The fish in display were ok (a lot of koi fish, that you can see anywhere). So, not really impressed of this Aquarium, if you really want to go, have a promotion code or discount, do not waste you money here.

We came once on a field trip and decided to buy a membership. My four year old loves the sand, and its close enough that my older kids can touch the sting rays while he plays. Its bigger than it looks on the outside, and pretty interactive. Last time we came, there was a big bird just walking around and it followed my daughter around and tried to eat her shoelaces. The kids thought that was awesome. My kids also love the bounce houses too.

Was nice. Bigger than expected. They have a good mix of animals. The tokens is whats more costly but we had a good time overall. You can pet some animals without having to purchase tokens. Would recommend it for a good alternative to the zoo

Even during this time of social distancing the aquarium was a blast. The staff was friendly and the attractions, while some were indeed closed, were loads of fun. Definitely still a great experience for everyone.
