HTGC is religiously -pun intended- following all COVID-19- preventative preparedness to ensure the safety of the devotees. A humble reminder...the mask should cover, not just the mouth but, the nose too.
This has to be one of the most beautiful Hindu temple across USA. The calmness and relaxing environment in the campus area of this temple is remarkable. Once inside, the atmosphere is really divine. Perfect place for a relaxing weekend. The cafeteria and the food is also really authentic and good. Nice to find pure Indian food in a temple cafeteria in chicago.
The very first Hindu Temple in the Chicago land area. It comprises of two temples separated by an auditorium. Just a serene place to calm your mind.
Great architecture and maintained really well. Ample parking spots. Very peaceful temple offering a variety of pooja’s.
Beautiful place for all religions. The place is still closed though I really wanted to go inside. I love that you have to take off your shoes when you enter.. pure and clean

I visit this temple often. Situated on a hilltop, the atmosphere is one of the best. Brings you a sense of inner peace. They also serve tasty South Indian food for good price every weekend and during festivals.

Finest Hindu temple and best Prasadam, South Indian, sweets
This is my favourite temple in the Chicago suburbs. Love coming here often and especially on festival days. Authentic Indian food is served in the cafeteria like dosa, idli, Pongal etc. Most of the priests here are multilingual and speak Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, English and more.
A hidden gem in the middle of Illinois. The beautiful buildings and architecture are definitely worth the visit. When we arrived we saw a small group of people meditating with several monks on the site. Very beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Keep in mind a dress code is enforced to go into the temple see pics for details.
Beautiful temple. Volunteers did a great job during new year day. Prasad was served by volunteers. Cafeteria food is good too.
My kid loves the temple. Very good priests and lots of place for kids to run around and play as well!
This review is for fellow Indians who visit the temple. The temple is a serene and beautiful place. People who are working here in the kitchen are volunteers who are taking time out from their busy lives to be part of a greater cause. I have seen Non-Indians come here, pay respect to the deities and then eat at the temple kitchen maintaining cleanliness. I have seen older grannies work in the kitchen and clean the tables of the canteen. Do you guys have no shame? You guys eat at the canteen with your families and leave so much food on the table? People working at the temple to clean your left overs are volunteers and not your Molly Maids. The least you can do as good humans is clear your left overs after your dirty eating habits and maintain some sanity at the temple. I felt bad for the older grandma today, who was volunteering to clean your left overs because you have bad eating habits. Stop being so entitled and act normal.
Cleanliness is pretty good. Lot of information about Indian culture and nice food.
Beautiful big Hindu temple with a serene, divine atmosphere. Always bustling with activities and religious events. Delicious Indian vegetarian food at the cafeteria on the weekends is an added bonus.
Very beautiful temple, quiet and serene
We love going to this temple. Not only is it peaceful- but the food is delicious & fresh. It a beautiful place to find peace and solitude. Even if you aren’t Hindu, you’re welcome there. We obviously go and celebrate Indian Holidays etc. but if we are anywhere near we always make a point to go and grab lunch! Great job! Peaceful & Beautiful
A Divine place. It is located on a hill and has a large parking space. It is surrounded by trees and a very fresh atmosphere. One can feel very divine here by praying to the God. There a cafeteria which offers very delicious food and beverages. It is closely connected to main road that makes it easily accessible. One must visit the place if he is in Chicago.
Very tranquil place. For praying and meditating. Also has a good large auditorium for organizing large events or marriage functions etc.
Around Chicago area this temple is one of the biggest and we will find peaceful atmosphere . They are maintaining cafeteria too good . If any of them visiting Chicago as tourist it’s definitely recommended to visit this temple without fail .
Loved the place and environment. It was peaceful to be inside the temple and worship. The path to temples were a little bit confusing for the first time visitors but the temples themselves were awe-inspiring. We will definitely go there for other occasions.
Glad to be having a temple like this in USA. Special thanks to the temple committee and volunteers, who made this possible. When I visit this temple, I feel like visiting the temple as if I am in India. Great hill view of the temple and the scenic view around it. And Swami Vivekananda ji statue and small museum.

Beautiful place, I love the Architecture, Artistic aesthetic the place has, the people you come across are very nice. Gorgeous. Peaceful.
Nice facility
Wonderful and divine temple. Appears to be quieter and less crowded than the one in Aurora. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience at the cafeteria which was supposed to open at 9.30 am but got delayed by an hour. They only had 3 items ready from the whole menu when it finally opened and the chutney seemed to be stale.
Its a beautiful temple. There is a Shivan temple and a Ramar temple.
Awesome..Clean .. Beautiful .... Very peaceful.
Great place of worship and food! Its all cooked on site daily but on weekends it sumptuous and tasty!
People don’t give Prasad. They give prasad only when I bring some from home. Some priests are very selfish.
Very nice place to find peace of mind.
This temple has both the Rama and Shiva, temple is built in an authentic Indian style.
