Such a beautiful location. I guess I shouldve done more research, because I was pleasantly surprised that there was a trail to the actual cave! Sinks Canyon and surrounding areas are very beautiful and relaxing.

If youre thinking about going.. GO. Such a beautiful State Park. Extremely clean restrooms and camp sites. Amazing views. Close to spectacular hiking trails. 10/10 would recommend.

Awesome place to visit. Very beautiful. I found it crazy the amount of water that runs down to the sink and into the earth! Lived seeing the rise, with huge trout in it, and the wildlife in the area. We went on a hike to see the Popo Agie falls well worth it. While hiking it seemed that the trail was going up and away from the river, that is when the falls come into view. Very impressive!

Interesting, nice outdoors experience. Mountain stream flowing from the higher mountain and disappearing underground for a quarter mile before reemerging and forming a pond where you can feed some large trout.I enjoyed the day outing with the family.

I have camped in every state west of the Mississippi and some East and this was the worst campground I’ve stayed at. Noisy, cramped, spaces sloped and on pavement so the levels wouldn’t hold; crowded; right on the highway. Told me to be careful walking my dog because people don’t obey leash rules. I stayed the night before with no reservation at USFS for 1/4 the cost and private. A KOA would be better than this!

Great place to go visit whether you dont have a lot of time or have tons of time. There is plenty of hiking/biking options out here and going to the sink and the rise is a must do and is only a very short walk for all ages. If you have a quarter, buy some fish food and you can feed the huge fish swimming below at the rise.Staff is super helpful and friendly at the visitor center and is worth the stop in. You will probably learn a few new things.

Amazing place. Lots of wildlife viewing. I did the loop from lander up sinks canyon over to hwy 28. Back to lander, about 35 miles. Its gorgeous there. Lots of opportunity to fish, picnic or just hike and relax. Amazing scenery. It doesnt cost to drive in but you should stop by the visitors center and donate so that our state parks are maintained. Please dont litter, pick some up whole there so that others can enjoy a clean park

Incredible experience just coming out of Shoshone National Forest. If youre headed into town for any reason, you need to stop here and take the time to see the river. The hike isnt bad, only about a quarter of a mile or less. And its a fairly easy hike for anyone involved. Theres also a nice ranger station with good information on the area as well.

Stunningly beautiful canyon to drive through or get out and hike. There are many interpretive signs that you can read. Also you can feed the fish in the river at the overlook. In the warmer months, they have a visitor center with exhibits as well.

I just love this park. Always have. The State has really improved the amenities here over the years. The visitors center and the Rise are not to be missed. Camping here is a delight and its interesting to enjoy the twilight in the canyon that lasts for hours. Its surreal. They have pit latrines, yurts, and tent sites. With the Popo Agie river running, the sounds are just super relaxing. Well worth s visit.

Intriguing. Pretty, but not spectacular. Worth the visit if you are in the area, but you can see all there is to see in under an hour. They sell fish food so your kids (-or the kid in you-) can feed the huge trout that dwell in the Rise, 40 or 50 feet or so below the observation platform, nothing up close and personal.

Interesting place. Fun to visit. The visitor center is worth a look too. Its not as grand as some parks, but a nice day or half day visit.

Lo

Sinks Canyon State Park is very beautiful and a must visit spot for anyone passing through Lander. The visitor center is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It is well worth a visit. The Sinks is amazing as the water disappears through the rocks. It reappears in the Rise where you can feed the resident trout.

Oh, this place is beautiful! I had no idea that this place existed. My Mom suggested a road trip, and we through around a couple ideas, then she mentioned Sinks Canyon. She hadnt been there for years, and my niece and I had never been. We got a late start, so we couldnt check everything out. I will definitely go back for another adventure.
