The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I am disappointed that they still aren’t allowing people in the building, that’s putting a stop to my NHD project.

Avisit to the local Historical Society.... Lancaster history.Org.is worth your time... which also includes the home of former President.. James Buchanan. The home in Federal style was beautiful and the grounds lovely. All furnishings are original to the home.

Small treasure of museum housing some amazing local historical artifacts. The arboretum and grounds are beautiful year round. This place is a cant miss stop in Lancaster.

I loved it. The people there are very friendly and helpful. The property is very clean. There are a few hidden gems around the property if you explore closely.

Small museum emphasizing important figures and events of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There is also an area dedicated to the history of print and Lancaster newspapers. Finally a focus on Pennsylvanias only president, James Buchanan. Wheatland, the residence of President Buchanan is within a short walk. Guides are knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about Lancaster history.

We had a special quilt showing of Amish quilts. We had a great experience.

A well curated local history museum. It is well worth the time for a visit when you are in Lancaster. In addition to the exhibits take time to browse the gift shop for tasteful gifts and souvenirs.

Well preserved historic site. Volunteers wete stationed throughout to tell us about each room of the house.

We know a lot now because of the 5 th gr class about the President James Buchanan. The class on April 27 2019. Injoy is. GOOD Job . We are from MISSISSIPPI.

OK, maybe James Buchanan wasnt the countrys best president, but its still fascinating to get a glimpse into his life in his well-preserved home and to explore the resources in the Lancaster history building.

The tour of James Buchanans home at Wheatland was excellent..The exhibit of Thaddeus Stevens was informative in explaining the Amendments to the Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights (1-10 Amendments) and the 14th.Amemdment.

Worth the $10. There was so much information aboutthe history of Lancaster and how it was involved with some of the most defining moments in American history.

We toured James Buchanans house. Fun and educational!

Was in awe only caught half of everything....going back again to see it decorated for Xmas and also to hear more!
