Impressive facility. Recently attended a conference there. Clean. Nicely laid out. Attentive staff. Bonus: well-displayed student art in common areas.

My wife and I most recently came to see the Flamenco dance company which performed in January (or Feb?) of 2019. The company was very good. We saw a fair amount of Flamenco in Spain in 2006 and it compared well. I love the Ware Center. We look forward to having more freedom to attend more events. Right now we are caring for an aging parent and we cannot escape as often as wed like. Keep doing what youre doing, Ware Center. We are city residents who appreciate you greatly! Also, wed love to see you as a venue for the Blues Fest again. Thank you.

Love this place. If you have never been here and are from the area then you are missing out. This place has a lot of events to offer. Attended the CPOSC - Open Source Conference here. This was like the county fair of technology conference. Staff at the front desk and check in were very helpful. Event was well organized with displays in lobby and sessions in the auditorium. Great place for musicals, shows and events.

Awesome venue for Art displays and concerts. Needless to say I had a blast at the First Friday events..!

It is the perfect setting for an orchestral concert. Steinman Hall has the best acoustics around. It felt like I could hear every instrument. And the rest of the Ware Center is beautifully decorated.

Its very awesome to walk through and see all kinds of art from local artists. When I visited they had a whole room dedicated to art pieces from a local school. It was funny and nostalgic to see these younger kids artwork. Some show a budding talent at a young age, some are things they will cringe at when they are older. The staff at the front desk made us aware of upcoming events and had pamphlets at the ready. Theres public bathrooms in here!!

We went with friends to see Charles Dicksons, The Christmas Carol put on by Servant Stage. The play was wonderful & the acting superb. The Ware Center is a beautiful venue & comfortable.Maneuvering around the city to get to parking, with one-way streets.. just a little challenging.But a great night for all!

Every time Im there, for a concert, event, or reception, there are many knowledgable and friendly staff, the facility itself is top-notch & comfortable, and its right in the heart of the action in this thriving downtown. Lots of parking close by, too. Super, welcoming place!

We went for an art show from the school district of Lancaster since our son had a piece of his artwork displayed. It was busy since they also had a play or musical going on as well so it was a bit confusing at first but were given direction promptly. Very nice interior

The Ware Center is a great venue for local cultural events and I try to attend as many events at the Ware as I can. Its a comfortable place and an affordable evening out. Its a great way to keep up with the multifaceted cultural happenings in Lancaster City.

Randy Otto as Prime minister Winston Churchill was very good . The show was very entertaining and one of the best performances I have seen at the Ware Center .

We recently attended a performance at the Ware Center. The theater is a very attractive venue. The acoustics are excellent. I especially appreciated the railings as I walked down to my seat.The performance SARAH BERNHARDT-LA DIVINE was wonderful. Not only was it informative but also very humorous. Candace did an excellent job of writing and acting in this play. I am so sorry I missed Mary Todd Lincoln !Although we live several hours away in NJ I would gladly return to the Ware Center.

I tell everyone about you! I think your programming is one of the best kept secrets of Lancaster. Your tickets are amazingly affordable and your student/child pricing genius so you make your programming accessible for all. Your venues are comfortable with easy access to bathrooms and with pre and intermission drink options (Lancaster)... We are already signed up for many shows this year... and your online ticketing works so easily!

The Atrium at the Ware Center is beautiful and we have been there to see Allegro play a few times. The main performance hall is also a very nice venue and there are always great acts of various types at the Ware Center.

The Ware Center is a very well designed building. It contains various areas that are used as venues depending on the needs of the entertainment being performed. It is always a joy to attend an event, either a concert or whatever at this location because of the excellent acoustics and overall ambience. The staff is also very helpful and always courteous. The building is centrally located surrounded by fine restaurants and easy parking.

My family and I have attended several performances at The Ware Center. Most recently, we attended the salute to Pearl Harbor in December 2016. The show was incredible! We could have listened to the big band music for hours - really top-notch musicians. The show featuring a variety of entertainers tracking the United States involvement in World War II from beginning to end through words, music and dance. The performance struck the perfect balance of nostalgia and sentiment combined with the heaviness of wartime. Several times, we had tears in our eyes. Absolutely beautiful.Shows at The Ware Center are always a treat because the Steinman Theatre has incredible acoustics with no bad seats in the auditorium. The lobby is also very spacious and bright, and we enjoyed mingling with performers after the show. We look forward to attending more special events at this prime downtown Lancaster venue!

Its a very mice building. I take my son for his philosoohy class there. I take him, that way I 6ake stuff I need to work in yhe atrium/lobby, and I can people watch.

The Ware Center showcases a vast array of events, all of which that Ive seen were terrific.The main auditorium has terrific sound and seats. In the smaller room upstairs, Ive seen intimate performances by national artists.If youre in Lancaster, I would highly recommend going to this venue.

I go here as a student for classes. But this place is amazing. The upper floors look like a museum.

Attended Susquehanna Folk Music Society sponsored concert in the Owen Salon at the Ware Center. Concert featured Del Rey, the wonderful singer of blues, folk, Americana songs. She accompanied herself on resonator ukulele or resonator guitar. Delightful venue; enthusiastic audience; top notch performance.

Elegant and yet warmly welcoming, the Ware Center is jam-packed year-round with exciting and affordable programs. A Lancaster treasure within easy walking distance to everything this historic city has to offer, including unique shops, galleries, hotels, restaurants, and the countrys oldest continually-operating farmers market.

First rate venue for a wide range of public events.

We think the quality of programming for Millersville University is great and varied. We have attended many performances both at the Ware Center in downtown Lancaster and the Winter Center on the University Campus. However as we have aged, we now only attend the shows on the campus. It is much more convenient for parking and is located in a lovely rural setting.

I was asked to rate the Ware Center because of a recent visit. In actuality, the Brother Sun concert that I attended with friends was held at the Winter Center in Millersville. I was apprehensive about the change of venue from 2016 but was pleasantly surprised and truly impressed with the Winter Center. Both venues are top notch and The Brother Sun concert was amazing!

The ArtSmarts Camp is wonderful and this venue is a plus for the whole family and the Lancaster community. What a fantastic way to introduce young people to the arts. The upcoming season looks like it will be fabulous, with something for everyone to enjoy.

A friend and I snuck in here between engagements at other places. We didnt see a show, just saw the place on the inside when only minimal staff was there.Swell place. Sharp-looking lobby and auditorium. It looked sophisticated, and was clean, but I cant speak for any performances or events.

We love the Ware Center. Everything they do - dance, theater, music, lectures, art shows, kid/family-appropriate shows, student Summer camps, and community festivals - are all outstanding. And for specials needs accommodation, creative thinking in general, and pricing in particular, it cannot be beat!

Great plays, Servant Stage, the best

Really neat place. Just attended a wedding reception for Kyle Thomas and Faith Musser. Now Mr. And Mrs. Kyle Thomas. Parking in Prince Street garage after 5pm is flat $5.00.Wheelchair accessible with plenty of restrooms and handicap stalls in the Ware center. Parking on street is metor parking. The building is malty floored with an elevator system. Front access has a guard desk, information center. Guard and staff were very friendly. We attended reception in a large room with a large side room we used as a dance area and recording area and sound system. -----42 NORTH PRINCE ST.LANCASTER PA. 17603LOADS OF ROOM GREAT PLACE FOR PARTY.We had catered food. Great staff service. I would recommend this place highly for anyones next occasion. Open bar if requested.

Comfortable seating and you have a great view no matter where you sit. Never had any problems with the staff. On the contrary, they are quite helpful!

The venue is very nice, and I would like to attend future events. You always have a nice variety of options. But the show I saw, Sarah Bernhardt, was a disappointment. In my opinion, the acting was not of a good quality.

Millersville Universitys Ware Center is a gem of educational and cultural pursuit in the heart of historic downtown Lancaster. It is appropriately located a block from Central Market and between The Fulton Theater and Lancasters Gallery Row. I have attended theater performances, lectures, films, concerts, art exhibits, and classes offered by the Millersville Lifelong Learning Institute at The Ware Center. My life has thus been immeasurably enriched.

I saw a great one man performance here on a man who was a Nazi hunter, sharing stories in a personal manner. It was a great act, its a great building, and its placed in a convenient location.

The Pearl Harbor tribute was fsntastic! So well done and the tickets were so affordable. Great job. We will be back.

I visited for the Extraordinary Give and had a good time. There were lots of vendors and nice snacks.

Entire evening was a huge success. Food was excellent, and Amy Banks was an excellent hostess.

Very clean, a little disappointed at the event I was at because there was no beverage purchase or complimentary anywhere in sight.

I was made aware of an event at the Ware Center, a speech and discussion led by Michael Rohr, by posters on the windows of the Ware Center. I appreciated the simplicity of being able to obtain a ticket on my phone (the tickets were free), so that I didnt have to get one at the box office, though the line at the box office was not that long. A woman at the door scanned the tickets on peoples phones. The scanner seemed to be having some issues-either that, or peoples phones, including mine, had cracks that prevented the ticket from being scanned. For this reason it might be easier to get tickets in one of the many old fashioned ways. The lady sitting at the desk was very kind, looking out for anyone who might need direction.The speech and discussion were about looking out for the needs of society and being able to express them or directly influence troubling situations in society by a form of art. The words social justice on the poster stuck out to me, and it seemed like an opportunity too good to pass up, as that is a subject Im interested in which to gain wisdom, by hearing arguments either for or against what I believe is true, and for or against truth itself (which I believe has been manifested by God and can be known). The speech and discussion were about looking out for the needs of society and being able to express them or directly influence troubling situations by a form of art. Mr. Rohd walked us through how some organizations did that by their art and outreach.I appreciated that Mr. Rohd got to know who he was speaking to a little bit before commencing. And at the end he gave us a good segment of time for questions, and comments. There were definitely things that Mr. Rohd said that I disagreed with, but overall the format was an invitation for conversation. That was also one of his main points- the importance of conversation.Overall, I think there are cool opportunities for the Ware Center to cause good change to happen as healthy presentations are made available for the public. The opportunities to get to know people with talent and influence are great there. I look forward to some more of those opportunities in the future.
