It is a very popular LO dog walker and runner trail. Be prepared for a less than 6 foot wide trail with many persons not masking up when encountered in spite of the postings at trailheads.
Short and sweet little trail, it has a great view as well as you walk.
Nice trail hidden away near the lake. Easy 2-mile walk to the end of the trail and back from the trailhead. Parking area is rather small.
Quiet nice walking path.
The beauty and the spirit there is unbelievable. You feel so close to our heavenly father that you can almost visually see and touch him
I never have given a metro city park a less than a 5 star rating and Im not about to start now. No reason to. Great work guys and much thanks.
Learned about how Lake Oswego became a way of life for 50 to 60 families that had someone working in the mines. You walk the pathway and envision what it was like back then. There are remnants of some of the trees, the basalt rock , (or was it obsidian), the landscape they worked in.
This park has nice trails with very little grade. The trails used to be part of the old rail lines from when they mined iron. We heard owls. The trails are only a mile or so one way before connecting into residential areas.
Spent 20 minutes driving in circles to various points on the map which all seemed to be dead ends in residential areas, looking for a place to park that didnt seem to be on private property. Couldnt find any spots, so gave up. Trail map on the website was also unhelpful. Could someone please flag wherever the parking is hidden?
The view of mnt side and the horses at LO Hunt club
Cant go wrong here...but look at the map closely for the route into the small bottom parking lot....or go in from the top and then down the trail...
Organic horse pop. Interesting history, Great trails.
Nice trail, great views
Learned a lot . Horizontal mining!
