I got to see the whole thing, in two days, during my lunch breaks. When I went, there were two rooms full of art from local students that were extremely talented. The best part, its free. They do accept donations and theres also a gift shop on the third floor.

It was great! I was up here for a swim meet so me and my mom decided to stop and come here! The volunteers are super nice! And they are super friendly! Its well spread out and organized and the kids area is super fun! It is a great art museum with a good layout and amazing art! I would definitely recommend going there!

Make a reservation online to ensure that theres a spot for you upon arrival. Covid protocols limit admission to 25 persons per hour. Gorgeous building with soaring ceilings and light streaming in. We enjoyed the gardens front and back almost as much as the art. If youre looking for a safe place to get away and see something beautiful while staying safe, this is it. And free admission, too!

This is a beautiful and peaceful art museum that is completely free! I would 100% recommend. There is a fun interactive kids section, two rotating exhibits, a giant steel sculpture, and East TN art. You can park next door to the museum for free. Stop at the desk inside the door to sign in and pick up some guide material for the galleries.

This museum is open and free to the public. There are many beautiful works of glass, paintings, sculptures and mixed media. Its small but well worth the visit. We arrived a little after three, saw everything except the gift shop (darn!) and were out just before closing. I highly recommend the museum to anyone visiting Knoxville.

This museum is free which is great! However, you see why it is free. The vast majority of art their is from local artist Beauford Delaney. He has some great pieces, but I would have appreciated more of a variety. Again, I cant complain too much since it is free. For COVID, you do have to make a reservation online ahead of time. Not a big deal if you plan ahead. The museum isnt too big, I think we spent about an hour there. This is a nice experience overall! Definitely worth doing at least once.

FREE. Crazy easy free parking right off I-40 so if you are driving through town and need a break this is a great stop for art lovers. KMA is a Knoxville gem, with a great collection of artwork from important artists with TN roots including Catherine Wiley and Beauford Delaney. Ansel Adams is also there along with a substantial commitment to really interesting contemporary art. If you take your time, you can see it in about and hour to an hour and a half. Afterwards, walk the short distance to Market Square for a nice selection of restaurants and shops with more just beyond on Gay Street. Im a local and I visit KMA 4-5 times a year.

Nice museum. It had 5 galleries that took about an hour to go through. Considering it was free, it was really well done. For anyone worried about Covid, they have a lot of precautions in place. Masks are required, the number of visitors in each gallery is restricted, and theyre requiring visitors to sign up for a time slot online to avoid having too many people in the museum at the same time.

Free museum with plenty of cool exhibits and friendly staff! The art is mostly from people who are from Knoxville and/or lived there for a period of their life but theres also a variety of other exhibits that feature foreign artists work. The glass exhibit downstairs is fascinating but my girlfriend really loved the miniature room exhibits. Heres some of the cool exhibits from some of the artists!

Well worth a visit and FREE PARKING! Me and some friends visited Knoxville for a day while during our vacation in the Smokies and this was one of the planned stops. This museum is well worth a quick stop for a few reasons: free parking, free entry and its quite small and can be fully toured in under an hour. The free parking bit was a surprise to me and my friends as Im very used to paying $12-20 to park downtown in DC and Baltimore where I live but not in Tennessee! Just use the Worlds Fair park parking to the north of the building, it had plenty of spots when I went and its right next to the museum. The artwork inside was varied from modern, abstract and traditional. Also check out the tiny room display in the bottom floor which was our favorite part.

I was visiting from Canada, and I was initially taken aback when I was told the admission was free and by donation - what a treat!I would imagine the exhibits rotate, but when I was there, there were a number of beautiful and fascinating works on display made by a number of native Tennesseans, including some captivating modern and post-modern artworks and a gorgeous blown glass exhibit along the lower levels. It only took about an hour and a half or so to really take everything in.
