Nice area for families and dogs, but not for biking or hiking. This is a small-park geared for kids with a very short trail (~.25 miles) with fitness equipment, a playground, and dog parks (split for small and big dogs). Not to be confused with the bigger Steffee Landing Shingle Park, which has much longer trails for hiking and biking (its confusing, because both locations are called Shingle Park).
Im embarrassed to say that Ive been leaving in Kissimmee for nearly 20 years and this was the first time I visited the park. Wow I should had come sooner... This place is amazing to take a walk in the woods and forget about your every day problems. The view keeps you motivate to keep walking and you will feel so relax. If you ever in the area and want to forget about your problems come here...good therapy.
We LOVE this dog park!! We recently moved to the area and have wanted to bring our boy to the dog park forever now.We were super nervous about the dog park near us in texas because of the height of the fences. But these fences are perfect and tall enough that we dont have to worry about him trying to jump them. The area is an awesome size, but there are a bunch of ant hills and some mud wasp nests in the ground, so it could definitely use a pest treatment before it gets worse so the dogs or owners dont get stung or bit up.Both times weve been there werent any other dog friends which is upsetting because Koda loves dog friends, but even so hes still able to run and get that young dog energy out!!
This little extension of Shingle Creek Park has a playground and a dog park. There is also a space with picnic tables under the shade of the trees. If you want to get in a workout outside there is a fitness trail that is a short walk with instructional signs and exercise equipment along the path. The park is also a gopher tortoise protection area and you might be able to see one during your time there.
Great dog park! Only downside is mosquitoes.
Good place to find a little peace and beauty. We loved walking through a cypress hammock with dry feet
This park was a lot of fun. The dog park and pet amenities are just right. It wasnt very busy in the dog area which was perfect since it was my 2 dogs first time at a public dog park. They were great I laughed so much watching them play. Definitely recommend this park if you have dogs.
Small no other dogs for the hour we stayed out dog couldnt focus on anything but the screaming kids playing on the fence
Great place to come relax, for some bbq, and exercise!
Always nice out here
Nice quite and leisurely walk around a park. Plenty of restrooms and signage pointing you to all directions. Grass is kept well trimmed around path. Nice seating areas in shade.
Great nice park. Close to medieval times. Has a great playground. It gets some shade in the early evening.
Good quiet place to bring children to play. The trail was short. Some workout equipment was not well serviced, has turtles all over.
Beautiful park. Very peaceful. Lots of forest. Has a doggie park, a kids play area where you can also BBQ. It has a trail where you can walk, in addition to exercise equipment like a ellipticaland others. Really nice to take a walk alone or with your loved ones, your puppy or to exercise. Enjoy!!
Very shaded area. Small dog area and separate large dog area. Shaded picnic tables. Small shaded pavillion and kids playground too.
Nice little walk little bit in nature in the city
Nice park for kids play and have fun...
Really nice peaceful place ..kids had a great time...not crowded ...clean...highly recommend
They have a playground area and lots of shade throughout the park. They also have 2 fenced off areas for dogs, one for the smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. There is a short walking trail along the park as well.
Great dog park.
Nice, quiet just a lot of nats n flies
Good place to do a picnic
The shade provided by the dog park is the biggest benefit. The park itself is small but still enough space for a dog to get up to a brief Sprint. There is water and bags to pick up your dogs waste provided.
You need to find the longer trails. Nice walk. Bring mosquito repellent.
We are from out of town and was so pleased with the size and places to sit. Was a clean shaded area.
Its ok. Kayaking is fun..i jist wish the walk pathand biking area..was paid mor attention too. But is free admission so.. Not problem..great for a quick walk with dog or exercise!
Always meet really nice people and their owners.
I highly recommended its the best place for having real quality time with your family and special with kids..... Bring your bicycle, picnic basket, kites, cameras your pet and explore that beautiful place....
Loved it the food was fresh and they were very efficient in preparation of our food! They had a great team there!
So I was in town for a conference and had an afternoon off. I decided to go outside and saw that Shingle Creek Regional Park was close by and gave it a try. It is an absolutely beautiful place in the middle of an urban area, like an urban oasis. I went kayaking and it was definitely the highlight of my trip. Absolutely beautiful with very calm waters. Was able to see a bunch of turtles and birds and even saw 2 4-5ft alligators! They didnt even move when we got within 30 ft of them. The person who rented the kayak to me told me to head south first as there was a cyrpus forest that way and it was gorgeous! Afterwards, I went north where the waterway was a bit more open and it was just as beautiful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
Awesome dog park
Very small but nice enough to do a picnic.
Dog park, playground and some paths around the tortoise and gopher reserves. Quaint little park. Lots of shade. Parking is scarce.
Small dog park nothing but a fenced in square of space
Great park for the kiddos. Dog park too
Love this place
Nice park not much to do couldnt find most the trails
Hard to access for workouts on bike or running; exercise stations lack intensity. Better for kids but playground area is very limited.
A very Good place
Peaceful park and always clean. Good place to work out while being close to nature.
Great secret park all the way down Bass Rd. Dog park, playground, trails, exercise trail. Grill and covered picnic tables. Nice place to take your children or your loved ones to enjoy nature at its best.
Excellent place to work out, enjoy nature, relax, study, ride bike, and many more. Highly recomend it.
My daughter had a blast
Love it, a pleasant place to either enjoy the nature or doing some activities with your families such as kayaking, hiking, biking or walking.
It’s just OK for me , this is not a big park and the trails are very limited. There is a DOG park but a little small. The children’s playground is just OK!
A good place to excercise and breath
This is one of the worst places! The trail to walk on took 2 minutes to walk on, there and back.
I like this park its nice.
They need to fix the restroom
The dog park is infested with mosquitoes and there are never ever dogs here. The one time a lady brought her pitbull, she waited until we left to bring her dogs in because she didnt know if her dog would do well with others.
