Attended the ribbon cutting and was able to take a tour of the new set up. The Staff are friendly and professional. The bathrooms are clean and modern. The theater rooms are well put together. I would recommend buying the reclining seats. They are comfortable and you have plenty of room to lay back and enjoy the show. The popcorn and soda are perfect and the free refills are a nice touch. The movies available are new and block buster status. Good to see NCG being members of the Ulster County Chamber. They want to help promote good business and provide a positive safe place to watch a movie and enjoy hot salty popcorn. Make sure you ask for extra butter! Book your tickets in advance for the big movie releases unless you want floor sets. I would give a 5 star review but a 4 star is good for now. Will go a few more times and update my review then. They have a dinner and a movie package as well. Explore the website and get the app for your phone. Stack those points and earn yourself one extra pump of butter on that large popcorn. Enjoy The Show!

Nice theater. Every new company that takes over that spot brings much needed renovations and upgrades. NCG did just that. Seats are comfortable and $2 for a recliner is well worth it. Good sound. Clean and modern without much clutter.

This is the second time me and my family have visited this theater. All and all, this is an amazing movie experience. The seats are very comfortable, the theater is clean and the quality and sound are great. Thw only reason for the 4 star and not 5....the concession area was a mess. The free refills on the drinks and popcorn are awesome, just clean the floor by the machines more often.

I like this theater because its new, its clean and its not a bad deal when compared to a Regal or other chain cinemas. The luxury seats are worth the extra money - they recline and theyre heated. Free soda refills and you get to put your own butter flavor topping on your popcorn. All in all, not a bad place to go see a movie.

NCG is a fully renovated theater. Great comfortable seats, nice screens and sound system all around. All seating is reserved so you can pick where you sit if you buy in advance. The matinee price of 9 bucks for adults is well worth it. Good place to watch a movie. Now if only the rest of the mall would step it up...

The crew that works here is really great, especially Serena! Took the family to see Frozen 2 and after 5 minutes I ended sitting outside with my youngest. After about an hour, it was clear I wasnt going to get to see any more of the movie. I asked Serena when it ended, so i could come back and she made sure I got remittance tickets for another time. I didnt even know that was a thing! You didnt have to tell me about them but you did! Thank you!

NCG Cinema has a wonderful experiance. You have the Make your own drink machines, though sticky they may be, and reclining seats with tables all down the middle. My family loves this place, even woth how dead the mall as a whole is.

Well, they used to be good... then they decided to start saying we couldnt take water in. Even though theres a water fountain right there. This is the hill theyre gonna die on?So if theyre not gonna let us take *water* in, Im done with this theater. They can complain about how nobody wants to go to the movies anymore when they inevitably close, but its going to be the fault of their own idiotic policies.

My husband has difficultly with getting around and a young man who works there was very supportive and helped my husband leave the theater easier.The seats appear comfortable, but for me the one I sat in ended up being less than comfortable.They had fun collectable items for Rise of Skywalker.

Seats are exceptionally comfortable, ticket and concession prices are typical for the area. Easy to buy tickets and reserve seats ahead of time. One line for both tickets and concession stand.

Today the service and staff lacked professionalism. They had a computer issue and couldnt get the system to work for the movie to play, rather than switch the paying customers to the other theater that had the same movie playing, and was working, they made people sit there for 15minutes before even coming in to say they are aware of the issue (took me going on to ask if they knew) before someone even came in. The staff working looked to be just out of high school and none of them knew how to fix the issue...

My wife and I had a good time there. We saw a movie. we sat in the reclining chairs they are very comfortable. The sound system is excellent. I do not understand why popcorn has to be so high though.

NCG is an awesome theater. It is so much better than the old theater that was here before. All of the seats are comfortable, especially the VIP seats. They have a lot of food options, with refillable drinks and slushies. Definitely a great theater to watch a movie in!

Thank you, NCG, for bringing a movie theater back to Kingston, and making it so wonderful! Heated, wide seats for only $2 more, sleek design to the theater hall, I assume the projection equipment and screens are the same as whats always been there but wonderful none the less.

The all in one ordering concept with tickets and concession seems to slow the entrance time for those that only want tickets. The seats are comfortable even without the premium. The theaters are clean, havent had a sticky floor yet. Truly enjoy the ability to refill.

I love the new seats, my only complaint was that it was really quite cold in the theater, I watched the movie with my coat zipped up and my gloves on the whole time.

Reclining chairs were great. Heated seats helped too considering it was like a meat locker in the theater. It was nice being able to pick your seats. Free refills are great too. Will definitely bring a jacket next time and reclining seats are worth the 2 dollars extra. Very friendly staff. Will definitely go again.

Horrible. Seats are comfy and roomy but could completely hear the movie in the next auditorium over - very distracting. Staff at ticket desk didnt pay attention when we asked what the different color codes of the seats meant (they were chatting with friends while I asked the question 3 times), and carpets looked like they werent vacuumed in 3 months. Other than the seats themselves, this place sucks

The sitter was fine, particularly the comfy chairs. I did find the lobby flow very confusing. Also, the ladies room was out of order. Bad form.

I love NCG Kingston Cinema. The Cinema is clean , staff is extremely friendly and helpful.... The Seats are very comfortable... recommend upgrading your seat to VIP (recliner with heat) but even if don’t upgrade you’ll still have a great seat . Prices are reasonable , free drink and popcorn refills help seal the deal. .. a great family experience.

I thought the staff was pleasant but I didnt like how the reserved seats in the theater were marked. We couldnt see them in the dark. Where was row G? Eventually we found our seats.

Loved it! Clean state of the art, brand new movie theater! They have a VIP section with seats that recline all the way and a little try for popcorn, soda and treats.

This cinema has very comfortable sofa style reclining chairs with an incredible amount of legroom.

I like this cinema a lot more than the Regal Cinema that was at this location before. The tickets prices are lower, and they have optional premium seating if you want to pay more. They have a Reel Deal Tuesday every week, where the prices on almost everything are even lower. They also do sensory friendly movies, where they keep the lights up and lower the movie volume. Something I realized recently is that the seat arms can fold up, so you can cuddle with someone! Ill definitely be going back frequently. It makes movie night more budget friendly, and I like the accessability options they have (they offer closed captioning too!)A small thing to keep in mind, they do seem to actually start the movie itself at start time, so make sure you get there before the time on your ticket if you dont want to risk missing something.

First try going here was a bomb. Got in line, asked for 2 tickets to Endgame and then the guy told me I had to pick my seats, which I found really odd since Ive never been to a theater with assigned seating. I tried to get 2 seats together but the map kept changing, finally got 2 seats but we got stuck with 2 seats on the far end of the front row. Guy asked if I wanted snacks and I said no, thinking Id get them at the snack counter, which was when I found out that you cant, you need to know what you want before buying your tickets, pay for your food at the ticket counter and then pick it up at the snack counter...which would have been nice to know before I got out of line.In the theater I discovered that I was so close to the screen that it really wasnt going to be enjoyable at all. Got my money back and asked what the deal was with the seating and everything. Found out that you have to pay extra to get a decent seat, which also would have been nice if the guy at the ticket counter had explained that too.Armed with this knowledge I will be trying to attend Endgame again and see if I can have a more pleasant experience. The real issue here is this company operated their theater in a completely different manner than any other movie theater Ive ever been to, I assume this is the big city movie experience and this is just the beginning if seeing this sort of thing in the small town area we live in.

Seats are comfortable, the setup for the tickets and concessions is awkward at best. The floor of the halls was dirty and the womens room was out of order, could have been a much better experience.

Went to see John Wick 3 here on Friday (5/17/2019); the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the seating was far, FAR more comfortable than they had when it was Regal Cinemas. (I also like how you can reserve a particular seat - or group thereof! - before the movie.)

Loved it except for the tables. They should have been able to flip up to get in the seat. It was difficult to balance the popcorn and soda and shimy in.

The process were high, but the staff were wonderful! I was helped by a counter person named Lucianna, and she, along with her two coworkers, whose names I did not get, were super friendly and patient with all my questions. After the movie, the sweetest person was considerate enough, before cleaning in front of me, checked to make sure I could see the credits. His nametape said Tajh. Excellent staff!! The seat I took, which cost $13, was one of the special center seats. It had controls to recline and it had heat!! It was very comfortable.

Comfortable seats, great picture and sound quality, and very helpful staff (especially the guy who stood outside the theater exit after Spider-Man to let those leaving know there were two end credit scenes, not just one). Big improvement over the old Regal at this location.

This is a solid theater and a welcome addition to Kingston. I think a lot of the lower reviews need to realize that the theater just opened, with new staff, to show Endgame which is one of the biggest movies of all time. Of course some things are going to get messed up and a new staff will make mistakes. I’ve been here twice now and both times have been great.

Nice people that keep the line moving. Seats are comfy- even the cheap seats. And you dont have to worry about someones head blocking the screen. Rewards points are a plus, too!

For two adults, two children, a regular popcorn, and a bottle of water, it was almost $47 for a matinee. However, the seats and prices are lower than it was when it was Regal. The seats were comfortable, it was clean, and spacious.

When I arrived I had to wait in a line even though I had my tickets pre and it was the same line as the concession stand and people who still need tickets which was dumb. The seats were really nice and the food was good and I loved the free refills. But when I got out of the theatre they had already put the gate down that goes to the mall because the mall was closed and I was parked at the other side of the mall so I had to walk all around the whole mall just to get to my car and they refused to open the gate even though the door to outside on the other side of the mall is across the hall it was just annoying

Went to the NCG Kingston for the first time today. Went to see John Wick 3. I picked and bought VIP seat because, well, thats what everyone recommended. Got there and ALL the employees greeted us. Kind of like when you walk into a upscale sushi restaurant. We went right up to the large ticket counter, got our ticket printout scanned, and were asked if we wanted snacks. Damn right we did! We ordered popcorn and soda. You get empty popcorn bags. You walk over to the snack counter and they fill your popcorn bags. Then you walk over to the soda machines and pick one of dozens of sodas, lemonade, ice tea, etc.- choices. Then you go to the appropriate theater.It was Memorial Day weekend so the theater was empty. The VIP seats were super comfy. I wont go any other way from here on. The sound system was top shelf. I dont hear too well and I didnt have any problems hearing the dialog.I had zero complaints. None. Nada. Zilch. To quote the Terminator: Ill be back.(PS: I have no relation to the Lillian Chen who reviewed before me.)

Glad it reopened, refurbished. For a few dollars more, you can book a recliner as your movie seat. The regular seats (reserved seating) are pretty cushy so I saw no need. Many theaters, kept very clean.

When the movie starts on time it is a great experience. When it doesnt the young staff could use some support.

This little upstart is great fun to go to. It does have its quirks, though.Some people may not like the assigned seating. Also, it is kind of odd to have the same line used for tickets and for snacks.My last complaint is that twice the movies have had issues. (Wrong aspect ratio for avengers and brighburn wouldnt play at all)Those issues aside the whole staff are super kind and Im glad this theater is here. I cant wait to see how they grow.

I went because my favorite theater didnt offer late showings for Avengers Endgame on Thursday night. I went to the last showing @ 11:20 PM and the kid that took my ticket proceeded to spoil the movie to me, I had to tell him to shush up. The theater had a foul smell and caused me to cough most of the 3+ hours, but the worse part is the film was not projected to the screen correctly and cut off a massive amount of the screen both on the left and right. They also did not clean the theater between each showing as the floors, seats and cup holders were filled with trash. I have been calling the theater since Friday and they never pick up and just hang up when I pressed # 5 for the box office. I thought for almost double the cost of the our other local theater, I would get far better service at every level.

So disappointing. A lot of lame upgrades that already look dated. doesnt seem that the screens or sound are markedly improved. Prices are higher ($11) and they have these dopey reclining seats that take up space and require an additional fee. So, forget about running to a movie impromptu with the kids- it is not user friendly. I even found the NCG business model somewhat predatory with the incentives and membership (pushed during every transaction). It is a group with theaters throughout the US but they still cant get the website right (totally locked out when trying to reserve). It is soulless and not nearly as good as Regal or AMC chains. For now, it is the only game in town. Maybe it is worth driving out of town or waiting for streaming.

Terrible experience . Bought tickets on line . Kiosk not working . Waited online to enter .waited online to get popcorn . Discussed with rude manager. Then missed 10 minutes oc beginning of movie . Talked to another manager who was uninterested. Wont be coming back !

Glad to have a theater back. They have done some minor upgrades and hope they will continue. You pay for tickets and order food at same time which honestly is kinda smooth, though relays on customers deciding in line and not waiting till counter...haha! The upgraded seats(power recline, snack tray) were great for 11$ We seeu that from other theater chains so didn’t surprise me. I did notice signs saying you need to bring online vouchers to the register. If I were the chain I’d call them just that Vouchers.

I enjoyed the movie endgame. The theater itself has not changed very much. It looked pleasant enough but I dont get the convenience fee, other than getting more money from your pocket. Apperance at first glance looked clean. Later on down the line getting a soda it was obvious that there was a spill because my shoes were sticking to the floor. A little more attention should be given to this area. Leaves guestion about how clean anything else is. I did like that you get free refills if wanted. Three hr plus movie might constitute a visit back to the front.Overall it was a good experience pleasant staff and recommend the upgrade for the seats for the longer features. I was comfortable the entire time...

Confusing the first time as I didnt know I had to buy the popcorn when I buy tickets and didnt know I had to choose seats....not explained well. Pricey where large families cannot afford to go....would cost 80 to 100 for a family of 6 if you included popcorn or candy...too bad..it was comfortable seating.

Another disappointment in Kingston. Much more unorganized then former theater.I put 6 tickets online, picked seats, checked out. They charge $1 per ticket for convenience fee. You print barcoded tickets and also get emailed! Get to theater and was told I needed to wait on this very long line to redeem tickets at register. After half hr wait I asked manager why am I being charged a convenience fee? Why cant we walk in and get checked in by ushers? Shouldnt they have a scanner??Rude and defensive he kept making excuses and said, we will never have scanning! You have to wait on line for popcorn anyway! Really? What if I dont want popcorn! Anyway 1st and last for me....I dont see them lasting long...Ill stick with supporting local small theaters
