Wonderful history here where an old world “Madam” ran a business literally in town and legend has it that everyone knew it! The kicker is - they let her do it! The tour guides tell the story - but you can google it and read for yourself! Bling Blinky of a Texas Shout Out: Miss Dolly was an entrepreneur in the Gold Rush Days!

This is a review for the fishing ...pole rental company next to Dollys.I wanted to fish without the high cost of the cruise ship excursions. I was able to rent a pole, two jigs and a set of needle nose pliers from these folks. They had a young man show me the best place to fish up river. I caught at least 12 salmon, in less than one hour. It was well worth $30. Fun fishing...tight lines. Ive posted a few pictures of my salmon to show the fun. Thanks again.

Amazing!!! Dont book an excursion with your cruise come here instead. This review Is for the fishing gear rental and not the brothel museum This is the perfect option for anyone that wants to do some serious fishing and avoid the crowd and extremely high cost of a cruise ship excursion. So much better than anything Norwegian had to offer. Kaylie and her mom run a first class operation. They gave us a great spot to fish super gear to use and got us on our way with the license quickly. Norwegian which happens to be an awful cruise ship got into Ketchikan late and it cancelled our shore activities. This ended up being the best thing about our vacation. Huge Salmon great catches and I even caught a trout.

Interesting artifacts about the life in Alaska in 1920s... and of course about Dolly Arthur herself. Nothing has been changed in the house since that time...

Highlight of my visit to Ketchikan. I visited in the morning on my own before the hoards of tourists descended on Ketchikan. You can really feel Dollys spirit, it feels like she never left. Love how everything looks like she still lives there. Only 10 dollars.

Dollys is a fun and naughty look back to the original female owned enterprise during the gold rush days in Alaska. There are no secrets here and no surprises about what went on in this this house, but if you have an open mind and remember to keep things light, its a quirky and unusual look at the alternate but very true history of this and every other little start-up town in the world!

A small house with about half dozen or so rooms. An interesting look back at the red light district during prohibition times. Its a self-walk through, but each room has a TV narration if you chose to listen. It shouldnt take more than 15-20min max. Its only a few blocks from the cruise ship dock surrounded by other little shops. It was interesting (from a historic prospective), but honestly, I would only recommend it if your in the area and dont have anything else to do.

We went to Dollys yesterday while walking around Ketchikan... seriously one of my favorite things my husband and I have seen here. Katie and the other woman (forgive me as I cannot remember her name) were awesome. Katie told us about the history of Dolly, and the house. What a remarkable woman. She was so much more than just a very successful working woman. It was really awesome to learn all about her and her part in the history of Ketchikan. I would highly recommend going if you have the opportunity.

Fun place to visit for some colorful local history. The girls who work there are cute but push a bit hard for tips for selling you an entrance ticket. The tour itself is done by use of audio equipment running on a loop at each point of interest within the house.

Cozy and kitschy, Dollys House -- the home office of one of Ketchikans most successful female businesswomen -- is open for self-guided tours. The owner -- who earned up to a hundred times a day more than the men working in the area -- served up watered down drinks and, um, other distractions, turning her last trick in her seventies and living comfortably for two decades after that. Her possessions, furnishings, and some rather personal items are well-displayed here, and videos throughout the house help tell Dollys story with additional photos and factoids. A fun twenty minutes, easily within walking distance of the cruise ship pier.
