Locally owned native art store. Friendly owners and beautiful work
While this is a small gallery, it is literally stuffed with all sorts of attractive crafts, from tee shirts with Native American designs to high end crafts and jewelry, with everything in between. The owner, Ken Decker, a Tsimshian, is friendly and informative. The biggest problem is choosing what to buy, but there is something for every budget, so dont go away empty-handed. The saleswomen are also friendly and helpful. Given that it is just a few blocks from the cruise ship docks and right before the entrance to Creek Street, it is very convenient.
Great place for your truly Alaskan art work.
A must-see place when visiting Ketchikan. This gallery/studio is locally owned and operated by renowned native Tsimshian artist Ken Decker. His store is literally packed with authentic Southeastern Alaska native art and gifts. Many stores in Ketchikan sell cheap, mass produced tourist garbage trinkets but not this one. Absolutely authentic stuff of the highest quality. Most days you can catch Ken there working on a new piece.
Beautiful art, so much spirit and energy.
