Large, multi-level facility that can be crowded at times.Friendly and helpful staff, clean locker rooms and a great workout area featuring free weights, weight machines and lots of aerobic machines. If the main downstairs area is filled, check the smaller upstairs area for more ellipticals, treadmills, spinning bikes and rowing machines. The upstairs track is a great place for a cool-down walk. A 5-lane pool always has one lane free for lap swimming during the many water aerobics, swim lesson and swim team events. Parking can be crowded, but you can park next door at the library.

My little brother plays soccer for the Y and i was having trouble first with logging onto my account to register him and then with getting my payment to go through. When i first called this morning i spoke to Mrs.Susan and when i called back this afternoon i spoke to her again, and let me just say Mrs.Susan is the SWEETEST lady ever, super helpful. Its so hard to come by someone who is so nice on the phone so thank you so so much Mrs.Susan, your awesome!

This place is a great place to workout and the staff are very friendly. However, we are new members and my children haven’t been sick in over 4 years because Ive been homeschooling them even before Covid. I took my children to the daycare ONCE and the next day they all caught an upper respiratory infection. Thank God the ER Doctor didn’t say they have Covid. My children are currently still fighting it off. I’ll Never bring them there again, But I’ll continue to use the gym and just keep gloves on and proceed with caution.

This place is AMAZING. The staff are warm, friendly, and helpful. I have two children that can go to the playroom while I work out, and their staff is stellar as well. My spirited two year old is thriving just from 2 hours a day there. Hes more gentle, sharing, speaking in full sentences, and more independent in just 3 weeks! This place is a blessing for many kinds of people. The population is SO DIVERSE! Im a proud black woman with giant curly hair who SWIMS. Never once have I experienced any prejudice or uncomfortable feelings. This community is everything. Join us!

We love the Y! My son loves to go to the Y in the summer, during school breaks and they are always welcoming his visits. Ive recommended numerous friends to the Y that now attend as well.

The staff members are nice. There are a lot of activities for everyone. The classes are great and there is a lot of workout equipment available. We love the Y.

Both my 4 and 6 years old kids absolutely love this place. I’m not sure what you’re guys doing that other camps fell to do but no other camp has brought more desire for my kids to keep going there. When I pick them up there is so much excitement in their voices when they try to express everything they did and experienced on that day. No doubt we will always join your camp and other activities you offer. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere all across the building. Thank you to your team and team leader for such great results.

Always a welcoming face to greet you .. a lending hand to guide you regarding training or use of the machines. Truly a family oriented organization.. highly recommended

The janitor is a creep and I’ve asked him on several occasion “pls do not approach me in such a derogatory manner”. He continues, I’ve call I’ve emailed to make a complaint, to no avail.

Great size and very clean. The staff is very friendly as well. They have several classes for adults and a lot of activities and sports or children.

I love this place! My favorite thing is that I can drop my toddler off at the daycare while I work out, and he loves it! I also have him registered for a parents morning out class and soccer, and we are super excited to start! There’s so many cool things that the Y offers! And the staff is really helpful and friendly!

Visited here for Halloween event and it was amazing. Our two toddlers had a great time and everything was free!!! Great job!

The entire staff from front to back has been amazing in every single interaction that we have had. Our children love it at theY, and so do we. As a family we enjoy going there for many of the different activities, I can honestly say that this place has a positive effect on my children. Great facility, good equipment and classes. Our kids love the gym for basketball. Best part for us is being able to use the dry sauna and hot tub after workouts. Really nice swimming pool too.

I am honestly a little shocked by some of the reviews Ive read of the Northwest Y. My daughter and I have had nothing but EXCEPTIONAL experiences here, and I recommend this Y to everyone I know. The thing that I love most, would have to be the opportunities available to teens. They have a ton of teen programming for older teens (13-18), which is when theyd typically age out of a normal setting. They have a weekly teen leadership program, mentoring, camp options available during school break weeks/summer and volunteer/service opportunities. My daughter (14) & I look forward to going to the Y every chance we get!

Love their childcare center and all the different indoor and outdoor classes they offer. This is my favorite YMCA I have been to!

We love it! There is something for the whole family. Our boys use the clean and well staff daycare while we workout. My son has participated in the basketball and soccer leagues, summer camps, swim lessons and parents night out. The staff is friendly, and is always accommodating. We have enjoyed being members of the Northwest YMCA.

This facility is awesome! They are extremely clean, family oriented, adequately staffed, and appropriately priced. If your poor like Lynn, a couple of reviews before mine, then don’t come here. Find somewhere a bit cheaper. However, they do tell you the price before you sign up! It’s also no contract like these other hole in the wall gyms. As for John F, it wouldn’t matter if they got new equipment, you would still complain and eat twinkies on the treadmill. Remember no one is making you join. If you can’t afford it or you don’t like it, then don’t join.

I have been a member at several other YMCAs, but this Y seems to have figured it out!!!! I absolutely love everything about my Y!!! I love water aerobics, especially Denise and Barb! I love the community of this Y, I have met some amazing friends here! Every time I walk in or out someone says hello or good bye...Please DONT change what yall are doing here!!!!

The variety, scheduling, and execution of all programs and activities that we as a family and individually have experienced have been the best we have ever experienced at any YMCA, private gym, or community activity center We feel welcomed whenever we come in and are getting to know the staff by name. The aquatics program is especially significant to our family who age from 9 yrs to 70 yrs. We live at the pool between lessons, water aerobics, and free swim. We just love the NW YMCA

My family loves the YMCA. All of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The programs and classes offered are great, and the instructors really want to see you succeed.

Over crowded its 1030 and all the cardio is being used. The solution was to put equipment outside. So what do we do in the winter, when its rains or in the middle of summer. Same equipment for the past 10 years. Looking for a new gym

Its a 5 star facility but the people running the front desk can be extremely judgmental and rude. Im a Navy veteran as well as my wife and both of us have been treated like second rate citizens. I would highly advise the management to remind their employees that the only reason they have jobs is because of the people who come every day. So great gym, but be aware some of the staff need to step off their high horses and respect the members or find new jobs.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They all seem to really enjoy their jobs. The gym and restrooms/locker rooms are always very clean (remember to bring your own lock). The other members are typically very polite. The new equipment is great. The variety of equipment and classes available beats any other gym. The hours allow for great flexibility in working out. They are a Good Measure Meals pick up location. FitLinxx is available. The staff is more than happy to show you how to use it (as well as anything else in the facility). There are multiple opportunities to give back to the community at this location as well (however, there is no pressure to do so). Childcare is available.

This place wasn’t well located for us. The aquatics director was terrible and honestly the whole staff didn’t know what they were doing. The facilities are nice but I got sick of the lack of knowledge and the costs. If you are poor they will offer you a free or reduced membership and if you make money you will pay a lot. It’s like the tax system. Lol. Somehow I don’t feel right about waiting for a machine knowing I paid more than someone else. They also ask for donations like crazy. All the freakin time!!They always need peanut butter or something and it’s a hassle. I don’t want to feel like a welfare system at they gym.

Omgosh love this place! They just offer so many things do for all fitness levels. Classes are great, the staff are so loving and helpful. Im willing to pay a little more for this gym versus anywhere else. It is always packed during the week but Saturdays and Sundays is not as packed. Still there is always room to do whatever you want.

I do not recommend the Northwest Family YMCA for swim lesson. For nearly $200, two weeks (mom-thur), 30 min sessions, I had the expectation that my 5 year old would be able to swim at some level. He can not. My other son could swim after only 4 lessons at another establishment. I do not feel safe around a pool. We asked for a refund and they denied it. Now, if you are looking for a fun cutsie class, this is true place. If you want your child to be safe around water, I’d go elsewhere. A place that puts children’s safety above business. Shame on you YMCA!

Wonderful fully equipped fitness center. It has loads of exercise programs throughout the day. All free to members!! Lots of helpful staff.

I love the childcare options! I especially love that there are offerings for homeschool kids. We have utilized Parents Morning Out for my preschooler, regular childcare hours, Parents Night Out (best deal ever!) and Homeschool Hangout. I love being able to get some exercise and know that kids are having fun.

Love it. Has tons of classes and something for everyone. Courts get crowded in the evenings and they could use some more free weights, but other than that its great.

You can not go wrong with a membership! Great for parents and kids. Only wish they had an outdoor pool as well.

Staff at the Northwest Cobb YMCA are very nice and friendly, the people that go there are also friendly and its a great family atmosphere. The only thing I would recommend is ti expand the weight room as it gets quite crowded at times.

Zero stars. Not a good location.. The customer service here was always unprofessional. They usually hire some kid out of high school to work the front desk whos brain empty. The staff is even worse... Very poor customer service as well as not putting the customer first. Heres a lesson for everyone dont deal with ignorance. Also, a waiste of money equals a waiste of membership pay.

Excellent facility. Very clean, great place for kids to get fit along with adults. Wonderful rock climbing wall,basketball, swimming and many other sports.
