The instructors are always super nice and attentive. I love how they sing songs during the class to encourage my baby to enjoy the class! It also doesn’t smell like chlorine at all compared to other swim class facilities I’ve been to I recommend this place so much!!!

I love, love, love this facility. My two tots have been attending sessions her for four months and my oldest (4), who started at ground Zero is now swimming. The teachers work really well with the children - they are truly patient, experienced, charismatic, and appear to enjoy their jobs. The class ratios of 1:4 is great; as the classes are not too big but not to small. The sessions at 30 minutes work well; as my babies attention spans are only but so long! And we our instructors Sian is amazing and we recently got a new instructor who is amazing as well! Actually all the teachers we have encountered are great. The front staff is a pleasure aswell and the rates are reasonable. The only downside is the waiting room and changing rooms can be extremely crowded at times.

I just registered my two kids here for swimming lessons and let me tell you that I’m very disappointed. We have had two lessons so far, one was canceled because instructor was sick, we re scheduled for the next week. Then instructor was still sick we were canceled again. Now I’m trying to re schedule and is almost impossible to do it. They don’t have instructors, got an email informing us that the 4th of July they are closed which I understand but if I put my kids in swimming lessons is because they need to learn to swim and consistency is the key! How they are supposed to learn to swim if this freaking place keep canceling on me and they don’t freaking bother to call you and re schedule. They say keep calling to check if there is a cancellation. What a poor client service they have. The monthly tuition is not cheap by any means and you would expect a better service and experience. Take your money somewhere else! Is not worth it! Oh and also they need new furniture in the lobby, all the leather chairs are cracked and worn out.

The instructors are great but the manager is rude and nasty, my family supported this local business during the pandemic,we have been here for a year. My three children were dropped because of new clients. The manager had the nerve to talk about been professional when my three babies when canceled, my youngest was so distraught ,she cried all the way home. When I support a local business, I do expect them so reciprocate. I will never recommend this place to anyone. My children are precious to me.

Aqua Tots? Aqua NOT!!!I was honestly regretting this review because my son loved his teacher(s), but the administration at this location is terrible. Please mind you that this review is pre-COVID-19 and is not a result of the current pandemic. We signed up for classes Jan 2020 and at the very start realized that the administration of this location was in shambles. We were initially registered for early Tuesday evening classes, but when my wife arrived for our first session, we were told that the class was overbooked. We were allowed to take that class, as only one other student was there, but had to move our weekly class to Thursdays. The following week, we arrived for our early evening Thursday class and guess what? They were overbooked again! They asked us to move, again, but we declined as my wife had already arranged for Thursdays with her work. Aqua-Tots agreed to let us keep Thursday and asked other parents to move... I think.Thursday evening classes worked for about 4 more weeks until we got notice of a job relocation. I informed Aqua-Tots of the relocation and requested to end our sessions during the first week of March. Due to their policy, I was informed we would continue to get charged through the end of March, but receive a refund for April, which I agreed to.It is now the third week of April and we have never received the refund promised the first week of March. Ive emailed, Ive called, and they simply stopped responding. I cannot recommend a place that would treat customers like this, even if they have excellent teachers. So if you are thinking about registering your child here, please rethink that decision, as you will only experience headaches, confusion, and, maybe even money loss.

My daughter had fun during the trial class. She tried trial class last year around same time and she cried a lot due to her fear. She used to cry everytime she heard lets go swimming. Now she has outgrown that and she had fun during the trial class. Instructor sure did put her to ease and even though it is group class, she gave enough attention to detail for every kid. She showed anxiety little bit when going under water but she was all smiles when she was out. She is super excited to go again to her swimming class.

I took my four year son here for a trial class and it was a traumatic experience for him. He is a beginner and just starting to get use to water. I thought the beginners class would be an “introduction” to the water, where the kids become familiar with the water. It wasn’t! My son was visibly afraid of going under water and instead of being gentle and accommodating, he was plunged under water terrified. I could see him telling the teacher he wasn’t comfortable, but she made him do it anyway, over and over again.I’m writing this review 2 years later, because I’m wanting to put him in swim lessons again at another place, but he is STILL scared of learning how to swim from that experience. My advice is to have a true beginners course bc some kids are not ready to just dive right in. Very disappointed.

Love the consistency of the instructors and the fun environment. My son started off not wanting water to even drop on his face and now he does cannonballs weekly. When I see other parents struggling because their child is crying, I make it a priority to go talk to them and let them know that it gets better. I explain how terrified my son was in order to help them see the future. We love Aqua Tots!

I took my 4 year old daughter to have her first swimming lesson here. I made it clear to the staff that she had no previous experience in the water. She was super excited when we arrived. After a few minutes an instructor called her name and took her to the pool with 2 other children. I was able to watch the lesson from behind a glass divider. I assumed that since this was her first time in the water they would help her get comfortable in the water by blowing bubbles or kicking from the side of the pool. Instead I watch this woman grab each child and submerge them in the water. Understandably this shook 2 of the children immediately. She then grabbed each child and tried to get them to float on their backs without any instructions. When the child would instinctively try to hold on to her she would slap their hand away kind of violently. After a few minutes two of the three children were in tears. I couldnt really here them through the glass but I could clearly see the instructor say stop crying, youre fine. I didnt see any kind of actual teaching happening in this class. She was just dragging these poor kids through the water and then putting back on the side of the pool. I regret not putting a stop to it sooner. I really thought once she saw how frightened my daughter was she would show some compassion. Thankfully the class only lasted 30 minutes. After it was over my daughter came to me in tears and I did my best to comfort her. Thats when the instructor came over to us. She looked into my daughters tear filled eyes and said I promise you if you cry its just going to make it harder for you. Then she walked away. This person should not be teaching children. I immediately asked to see the manager and pulled her out of the remainder of her classes. If you are thinking about enrolling your child here I would suggest watching a class first to see what youre getting them into.

My son has been going to lessons for about 3 months now and absolutely loves it! Even if hes grumpy before, hes happy when hes in the pool! Hes a year old and submerging him under water is a bit scary but our instructor is really good and helps so much! I was really worried about him going under water so she worked with me but never pressured me. So even though theyre in a group, you can still go kind of at your own pace that makes you comfortable. We always enjoy looking at his progress chart each time we go to see how hes doing! Great place!

Some instructors are great like Miss Analuz and others just ok. My son was terrified of the water when he started and Miss Analuz was very gentle and patient with him. She finally got him confident enough to go under the water and stopped crying. We had some make up classes with other instructors and he got back to crying and being scared. The staff is mostly nice and polite, the only downside I have to mention are the dressing rooms and bathrooms. They should really think about remodeling asap. Walls are rotting, floors are in bad shape, and the moldy bathroom smell is everywhere in that area.

My son has been going to the Chattanooga location since they opened. He has become an amazing swimmer, however the staff turnover is unacceptable! I dont even remember how many teachers he has been through. I pay for the entire year to get a discount, this year I noticed that not only did I already pay for the entire year but they started deducting money from my bank...for three months until I caught it. They also are very bad at returning phone calls. I have been told on numerous occasions that they would call me and I always have to call them back. No communication between staff. My son also had six make up sessions and now he only has two. He hasnt used any...how does that work? My recent complaint came today in an email that stated that my son was no longer enrolled.?.? Called them and of course their system is down. We promise to call you back tomorrow. Im tired of this!!!

Beware of their cancellation policy... They have charged my account for 6 months after we cancelled the class (personally, at the reception). I did not notice that first as have the older child going there more than once a week. When I requested my money back, they claimed my child had visited all the classes and had been even promoted to the next level. Magic... I wish I had read the reviews before canceling as it looks like I am not the only one. Very disappointing experience

My daughter has been going here for almost two years now. She has been through several instructors. Only one of them has been meh. Actually the meh instructor had an incident where she dumped my daughter in the water off of the hippo and my little girl was under for a few seconds before she was noticed. As such, she developed a fear of the hippo. We switched teachers and currently with Ms. Ina. She has only had one class with her but my daughter was all smiles the whole time. When she got out, she told me how her new teacher made her happy. Other good instructors have been: Mr. David, Ms. Cyndee, Ms. Mandy and Ms. Chrissy. Overall, the swim school is good. It gets really busy in the summer and parking can be frustrating. Sometimes finding changing rooms and places to sit can be a little tough too. But, good value for the peace of mind that my girl will know how to swim.

Used to be a great place (as is evident by the old reiews) but now, not so much (as is evident with the recent reviews). If your child is a beginner and needs to learn how to overcome the fear of getting in the water, getting out of the water and blowing bubbles, then aqua-tots might be for you. If your child has learned those basics, then go elsewhere.I also had problems with management returning phone calls. Not sure if they never received the messages or they got them and didnt want to return them.

My 4 yr old daughter is extemely fearful of swimming and drowning. Her first initial 9 lessons were spent screaming and crying. She is crying less and has developed many great skills. My biggest compliment to AquaTots is that all of the instructors are extremely gentle and patient. Not one has pushed her into doing anything that would create greater fear. I have signed up for Christmas in July and will be continuing lesson until January. I hope that my daughter can move past this mental block...and I believe she will, but in the meantime, I am comforted that Aqua Tots is staffed with wonderful instructors and that this is the best environment for my future mermaid.Kimberly Heiple

After reading several positive reviews about Aqua-tots Swim School in Kennesaw, GA. I went up there to converse with the Aqua-tots staff in order to see if my daughter would be a good candidate to start the swim class. After explaining numerous times that my daughter is extremely scared of water they insured my family that they were use to assisting with these types of children and assured me that they could help. Five minutes into the first session, my daughter would not go into the water and she screamed in totally fear of the pool, the water instructor never came out of the water to console my daughter and she actually looked as though my daughter was interrupting the swim lesson. Ten minutes into the session we were getting stares from the staff and we left. I called the company numerous times about them falsely advertising as it pertains to dealing with children who were extremely scared of the water. I asked for my money back due to their false advisement, the staff member stated that I would get a full refund. Then two months later after leaving numerous voice messages and eventually having to threaten them with fraud. They finally called me back and stated that I could get portion of my money back. Aqua tots staff member (not the manager/owner) said that the registration fee and the entire session (even though it was ten minutes that my daughter stayed in the class) would be charged and the rest refunded. Aqua-tots Swim School in Kennesaw GA business practices is ridiculous, not once did the owner/manager call me to apologize or attempt to remedy the problem. This company is clearly in the business of making money any means necessary.I think their business practices should be monitored and the staff should not be able to state they can help all types of children, when that is not the case. I do not want another family to be out of money due to Aqua-tots staff not being able to fulfill their part of the deal-that is, teaching children how to swim. A full refund should have been given to me since they did not fulfill their portion of the agreement.

Look forward to it some weeks, and some weeks I dont. It is a little pricey (more expensive than a membership to a gym or Jazzercize) but I quite enjoy the weekly 30 minute date my 1.5 year old son and I have. He is learning slowly, and at least getting used to the water. The teachers have been understanding and dont REQUIRE the kids be dunked, they encourage us to get their chins/mouths/eyes under water, but they understand that mommy knows best and will do what is comfortable for mommy and baby.On one occasion, the owner (who isnt normally a part of our class), told me to relinquish my child so she could show me how the Humpty Dumpty Falling In activity was to be done. I thought I was holding his arms wrong or something minor. My son was not only dunked, but dragged under water before he was truly ready. It took 4 weeks for him to not be afraid of that activity and anytime I reached the number 3 when counting 1-2-3. As of now, he will now do the humpty dumpty activity again willingly and with excitement. I let him sink up to his eyes when he drops in, but I certainly dont drag him under water.Weve been through several teachers and they all have their perks. I find the tadpole class has the largest rotation of teachers though because the program is so simple and repeatable that any of the trained teachers can do it. The older more cognoscente kids seem to have the same teachers consistently.
