Lots of fun, meeting tons of people all year around

This was my first visit, and we had a blast. You dont need to play volleyball, but it was great fun to watch, drink, and gave conversation out on their huge deck! It is enormous lol. Stop by and visit next time youre in Martin City... Its definitely worth your time and I look forward to it.

I got extremely overheated while playing volleyball and blacked out. The staff was extremely rude and did not handle the situation well at all. Very disappointed in the whole staff.

Really enjoyed there, food was good, beer cold and had a great time playing at the inside beach volleyball. Great place to have fun.

A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT.1. The waitresses never came to court and the bar was barley stocked. Their excuse was it was the end of the season.2. If your a new comer expect to be BULLIED by the locals. Especially if you’re a good player.It’s sad that this game gets ruined by bitter and privileged 40 year olds.

You will not find a better sand volleyball complex in the Midwest then Volleyball Beach in Martin City. The sand on the 13 courts is soft, the service is spectacular and tournaments here are one of the best things in life.Ive played at most of the other complexes in Kansas City and none even come close to Volleyball Beach in any aspect. Leagues six nights a week, tournaments nearly every weekend, some of the friendliest service you will find anywhere and reasonable team fees combine to make an excellent experience.

What a great place to either participate or watch sand beach volleyball. They have so many courts, and a large deck with a great vantage point. For and drinks are just good bar food, which is all one should expect. For a plus, its nestled up against a well trafficked train track, that my son just loved watching go by. All around family fun, at least during the prime time hours I was here for.

Love the atmosphere and playing volleyball here. It is a great little retreat with sand and exercise and beer. The staff is amazing, always extremely pleasant and polite. Food is great too. Would definitely recommend signing up for a volleyball league here, or just hanging out at open play from 4 to 6pm!

I play there have for a while. Its a fun place with nice people and good competition. Drinks are a little high but strong enough so that makes it ok.

Great facility, amazing staff. Leagues and tournaments are organized and has all levels of competitors. I have been playing there for 10 years. Now that I don’t live in KC we drive up to play in tournaments during the winter. Nothing else compares to VBB!

Made a lot of friends here. Super inviting environment. Its especially great for people who just want to play volleyball with other people to stay active and involved.

Love the dome for winter sand volleyball. The crowd is always nice and lots of fun.Hate that you get charged for water.F&B is good and fairly priced but I think Shawnee Mission Beach Volleyball has better service staff and F&B is a little better.

I love volleyball beach! It’s always a great time. The courts in the back aren’t the best to get stuck at because of the train tracks just on the other side, but other than that, it’s the best place in KC to play sand volleyball!

Howard, the owner does a great job of organizing the different levels. However, the facilities could use some updating. The bathrooms arent desirable. They also need more courts or time slots. Very hard to get a new team signed up.

Year round fun! Staff are all awesome, sand is well maintained and overall a great place to hang out and watch some volleyball. The food is good, drinks are always cold and their indoor/outdoor deck is the perfect spot to watch the action.

By far the most fun, largest, most organized sand volleyball in the metro! Love to brag about this place. The bar and grill is comfortable, food is decent with a nice variety and the bartenders are the Bomb. Speaks volumes that many have worked there for years. Server service in the sand at the courts while playing is a huge bonus as well. Competition on the courts is stellar and much better than twenty years ago.

Fun place to play beach year round. In the summer you can pretty much smoke anywhere outside around the courts so that could be annoying for those who don’t smoke or convenient for others. The sand is really soft and they have plenty of hoses to clean off after playing.

This place is awesome. The owner takes great care of his customers and the fact that he is hands on makes me love it more!

Love it! Been in their leagues for 8 years now and I wouldnt dream of ever quitting. Such a fun atmosphere with great food and the prices are very reasonable, especially happy hour!

Been playing a night a week here for over a decade. Fun and kid friendly.

Great fun for both adult and kids. The adults get to have a few drinks and play fun games of volleyball and the kids can play in the sand and make sand castles.

I used to go to Beach Volleyball on Johnson Dr., and it wasnt a good experience. Then I tried volleyball beach and for the last 3 years I have went nowhere else. After the last league game they still keep the lights on until the last person leaves. The service is great, they keep the sand nice and clean, and its just all have brought plenty of friends out.

We love playing at volleyball beach over any other place in town. My only complaint: clean up/fix the bathrooms, which have gotten pretty gross over the years.

Extremely rude staff. They basically called me a liar & embarrassed me over the bill. The food was beyond sub par. Theres no air conditioning inside, the bathrooms were dirty & I will never ever make the mistake of going there again. Majorly dissapointed!

Sand volleyball and a bar. They have some food options with a few craft beer options but otherwise its just macro brews. The point of going there is to play volleyball so I wouldnt really choose to go there specifically for the bar itself.

Its home away from home, were everybody knows your name. The sand is great and the people are greater!
