Good event had a great time!! Been along time since Ive seen such a peaceful fun loving group of people. Event for Mexican culture, but everyone came out black, white, yellow, brown, race or color didnt matter. Everyone came together and not one bad attitude. The way it is supposed to be. Memorial hall was inviting and gracious, all the people were great on both sides. Cant express it enough!! Wonderful!

Our daughter participates in the Junior Roller Warriors that uses Memorial Hall to play. It’s historic elements and tribute to our heroes is a great feature! Definitely worth checking out!

Attended a graduation at this site yesterday and was extremely disappointed with how the crowds were handled and how poor the sound system was. The majority of the speakers could not be heard and the acoustics of the building let the crowd overpower the event. They have made some attempts to make the building handicap accessible however the steeply angled ramps are just a hazard. The building it self is beautifully historic but needs some love.

A rich history to this place. My high school graduation was held here in 1992 & tonight I was here watching my 2nd oldest daughter dance at a competition. How time flies! Thank you to all the brave souls who fought for this country & to those who are currently defending us today!

My best and I traveled all the way from Tucumcari,NM to Kansas City Kansas to a Christian conference that was held here on July 11-15. The place was very huge and fit so many people. The experience and getting to see this place was awesome. But what I loved the most was being able to praise God.

Excellent venue for MMA fights. Not a bad seat in the house. The event coordinators did an amazing job with the octagon, stage, lighting, and sound. There were 7 great fights in the Invicta fighting championship. Food and drink were not your average sporting event prices, and were very affordable.

I attended a White Coat Ceremony for the KU School of Medicine here. The building is a bit old and due for renovations, but it is kept clean. The staff were courteous and helpful. This is a good place to host a medium to large event. The auditorium and stage can probably accommodate up to 1000-1500 people or so.

We go here regularly for KCRW roller derby bouts. The building is always clean and for the most part in good working order. There’s always ample seating and the seats are not overly crowded where you’re nearly sitting in the lap of the person next to you. Fair warning that this is an old building and both the ramps and stairs are fairly steep. That being said, it is an incredibly interesting building that is well worth the visit. Also, the bathroom facilities, for the most part, have plenty of separate facilities and can move people through fairly quickly.

I go here once per year for a company function, my familys graduations have been here and I saw the band Sponge play here. It is an intimate setting but lots of stairs to the upper levels and the seats are small, like old time baseball stadiums small. The sound system is ok. It only gets four stars because all of the surfaces reflect sound in an almost painful way. For a rock concert thats fine, but have a concert band play pomp and circumstance with families setting off air horns for their grads and youll wish they would just mail the diploma. I love that they recently added much needed parking though!

Acoustic Formula:. One shrieking person in the vestibule or entry will be louder than anything anyone, including the miked speaker, is saying in the hall. In this case it was a happy infant sitting happily on the floor whom the doting parents were smiling and nodding at. Thanks, kid. Due to you no one heard a word.

There are not enough restrooms to accommodate the size of the crowd at the building. I always have to wait in line for a long time. Also, there is not enough parking or public transportation to the building. It is a beautiful old building, but if you want to use it for anything with more than a couple hundred people, I suggest finding a different venue.
