Started working with Ash on my Star Wars Sleeve. He was there waiting for me was genuinely excited to work on this project. Like anyone starting a big project, I was worried about the artists design when I arrived at the shop. It was EXACTLY how I envisioned it with more thought and detail than I could have imagined.The culture is great too. I talked to the shop owner about fights and movies, I met some other killer artists and saw the work they were doing with their clients and saw the variety the shop can offer. I was there for 9 hours watching movies, getting art put on my body and seeing about 5 other peoples tattoos that were all fantastic. Great shop.

The best customer service I have ever received at a Tatoo shop. They greet you as soon as you walk in. Excited and helpful on the phone. It is refreshing to be treated like they value your business. I saw examples of his lettering on his Instagram account and felt sure he would be the right person to do a phrase that was in my own handwriting. I was correct: It looks like I wrote on my own arm. The shop is clean and comfortable, and everyone is very friendly. I wouldnt hesitant to recommend this shop to others.

Shop is awesome! Huge and clean. Raoul is amazing. Friendly, patient, extremely talented. He’s done 4 pieces, including a cover up, plus touched up 3 others that I had done by different artists, & I now refuse to go anywhere else for my future tattoos! Absolutely amazing! Sammy was boutall over it when I talked to him about a Koi. Came out so much more than I expected, and is such an amazing piece. All of the artists are top notch. I will not be going to any other shops.

Called to set up an appointment and left multiple messages over a 2 month span. Finally got a consultation and set up my appointment at the artists earliest appointment date (about 7 months, no big deal his art is amazing as are all of catalysts artists), 4 months before my appointment I call to inform them somethings come up thats out of my hands and legally I cannot be tattooed, it takes me over a month to reach them again. Talked to the manager (Valentine, really nice and cool guy), tells us that the artist will get back to us in a few days when hes got time, over 3 weeks later the artist still hasnt called us. Honestly the artists are talented and the manager is very nice and highly professional, their communication and call back skills need improvement though.

Mikey does a wonderful job. They are very clean and professional. Definitely recommend this shop.

This place is Awesome I have had several tattoos done since April 2018. They are a great bunch of Tattoo Artist .Extremely friendly and professional. They have to be one of the cleanest shops I have ever been in. They have many award winning artist in the shop. They will be moving the shop to Kansas City very soon and I will follow them where ever they go. Punch and Wes have been doing my ink work still have quite a bit more to do. I am planning later to get some other work by different artist in this shop each artist has their own style and speciality.

I am in the process of a sleeve and I’m almost halfway through, Ashley Emerson is my artist and I highly recommend him if you are looking for a new creative design, a cover up, a touch up or update, or adding on to something. I have never had a better experience with a tattoo artist, his work is incomparable to anything I have ever seen and his attention to detail is outrageous. After talking a look at some of the artwork on the website I decided to come in and check out the staff after picking a few artists I liked. The staff helped me pick an artist that would suit the tattoo I wanted to get and set up a consultation to speak with him. The consultation went over great and we hashed out a plan and a set an appointment.I just got back from my first half day session and Orville killed it! I booked two more sessions before leaving. He did great work and I can wait to get the whole piece finished!

Catalyst Arts is hands down the best tattoo shop in the Kansas City metro area, if not the entire state. All of their artists are extremely talented. I have gotten tattoos from multiple artists that work there and they have all turned out greater than I could have ever imagined. The artists really take the time to put a lot of detail and care into every single tattoo that they do. They truly love what they do. The facility is very clean, professional, and well lit. It does not have the feel of a typical tattoo shop. When you walk in, there is actual framed art on the walls instead of a bunch of flash art or binders. Plus they have a pool table so thats pretty sweet. The shop manager, Stephanie, is also very helpful and extremely courteous. I am constantly referring my friends to visit Catalyst Arts and none of them have been disappointed. I highly recommend Catalyst to anyone that wants a high quality tattoo, you will not be disappointed!

I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to get tattoo work done.Great experience for my first tattoo. I work a weird schedule and can never get in on weekdays, and these guys were booked out pretty far on Saturday. I went in a talked with the scheduling manager to try and work out a time. I was only wanted a small amount of work done so it would only take an hour or two. He talked to the artist Chris and he agreed to come in at 10:30 the next weekend to take care of me.As for the actual process of getting the tattoo, Chris was very cool about it all. Answered all my questions, didnt pressure me at all and made sure I was comfortable. On top of all of that he did an awesome job, I cant stop checking out his work in the mirror. Great experience.

Beyond amazing place and people. Went to Heather B for my first tattoos December of 2015 and was already back for another consult in January. Just went for a 6 hour session Thursday and it was outstanding, I was completely comfortable the whole time. Highly recommended any of the artists, theyre all around amazing!

Mikey Ruck did an amazing job fixing the botched tattoos I received at another shop. In the same session, he also did a Batman tattoo for my husband who has many large tattoos. Mikey is by far the best tattoo artist we have been to in the past 10 years - and his kind non-judgmental attitude makes it that much sweeter! We both feel like we have finally found a tattoo artist that we know will give us great work and that we can feel comfortable with. As long as Mikey is doing tattoos, well be loyal to him! We also really liked the shop - very clean. And unlike many shops weve been to, when you walk in, you are actually greeted by very friendly artists. You feel completely welcome and comfortable from the moment you step in the door - and it continues throughout the entire experience! I loved getting my ink at Catalyst. Brady was my artist, and did a great job of collaborating our ideas, the outcome was beautiful. The shop was clean, friendly and professional. I barely noticed the pain due to the movies they played, the interaction between artists, and the fun atmosphere. The recovery of the tattoo still amazes me, how the next day, you wouldnt have even guess that it was a fresh tattoo. I think its due to Bradys talent. I love this place because they are a no bullsh*t kind of tattoo parlor. If artists arent providing a good service for their clients the shop boots them. I personally frequent here for my incredible artist Dart. However the atmosphere is welcoming, they watch tasteful movies and its not the stereotypical harda$$ only, tattoo place.
