I have been taking classes with Creative Veins for almost a year now and I have learned so much about the acting profession. The coaches Keary and Rebecca are amazing and always provide honest feedback to continuously help you grow your skills. They truly care about the acting community in Jacksonville by wanting to always be improving it and just the acting profession as a whole. I have especially enjoyed the level 4 scene study class. You get to perform a real scene with a partner and learn how to analyze the script to make the best choices for your character. I will be continuing this class to continue improving my acting skills. I recommend this studio 100%!

My 9 year old has been going here since last year and has been having a blast. We adore his acting teacher Miss Katie and I appreciate what she teaches the kids. I love that parents can leave or stay and watch class without the kids knowing from one of their two different waiting rooms. To be honest I think I enjoy going there just as much as him! The best thing about this experience is that I have noticed some small but very positive changes in my son (mainly listening better). Its been a great experience for us.

My daughter’s instructor is amazing and in this field because she really loves teaching and it definitely shows. Her patience is unmatched, superhuman even and she always starts the class with a positive attitude. This school is such a gift to these kids. Ive taken every acting class offered at Creative Veins and have been an active student for almost a year. Keary and Rebecca are really special people and incredible instructors. Keary and Rebecca have been fantastic over the last year. When I started at the studio I was terrified of performing in front of people. With Kearys coaching I have now performed a scene at Smorgasboard and am confident auditioning for roles. Keary is very direct and continuously pushes you to be better, try new things, and test your limits and boundaries. He cares greatly about his students and wants to see them be successful. I cant recommend him and the studio enough for those serious about becoming a paid actor.

I have taken level 1-4 in acting and have had both Rebecca and Keary as instructors. They have given me the tools to prep for a scene, build a layered character, and overall how to approach acting. The feedback they give is always honest but will not completely crush you so that you know where you need to improve and keep going. I just finished my first acting course, acting essentials. I can honestly say I enjoyed every single class. It was an amazing experience and it definitely helped me a lot. After a lot of research into acting schools I decided to invest in myself and attend Creative Veins. Besides all the great reviews, I was attracted to their program because they teach the Meisner technique (a technique Id heard of and was interested in learning more). I can say without hesitation that enrolling with them has been one of the best investments I have ever made. The classes and instructors exceeded my expectations in every way possible. It took a lot of very hard work and even more focus and self discipline to turn me from someone who had always had a dream to act into an actor who could go out into the market place in front of casting directors, directors and get the jobs I was submitting to. But thats the thing about Coach Keary. He is deep and inspirational as a teacher and as an individual. He pushes us to live, act and present ourselves truthfully not only on stage but also in our everyday lives. He values honesty amongst all things and pushes us to honor our emotions. In fact, when I first signed up for advanced acting and stand up comedy classes with him I was expecting to learn about techniques and methods. Obviously I have learned some of these and have continuously worked to improve them. However, I never imagined that the classes would also teach me about values and defining the person that I want to be. Honestly, I have nothing but admiration for Coach Keary and his teachings. I had been interested in trying stand up for many years but never really understood the process behind writing jokes. Like, I have been told I amNaturally funny and have wit but it was always spontaneous. I knew standup was more than just “winging it” but I had no idea where to start. I had worked with Rebecca and Keary in other avenues in the past and had expressed my interest in taking a class and when she reached out and suggested taking an upcoming class I jumped on the opportunity.I can not speak more highly of the Intro to Stand up class. Keary McCutchen is a great instructor and a very talented comedian. His ability to both teach you the fundamentals and show you how to extract a joke from a funny thought or situation are both a super great value for what you’ll spend on this class.By the end of the 4 weeks, if you follow the course and out in the effort, you will have several jokes you have written and refined and you will be proud of them. I guarantee!

What can be said about Creative Veins that hasnt already been said? I started in their level 1 comedy class and have already finished that and one of the advanced comedy classes. I walked in with no idea about anything except that I really wanted to give comedy a go. I can say hands down that this was by far the most fruitful and transformative experience Ive had in any class in my life. Whether you wanna do stand up as a hobby or if its yours lifes calling, this is the place to learn about comedy. Once you learn the technical aspects of writing a good joke you learn how to perform (which is a whole other thing in and of itself), but Keary does a fantastic job of fostering a positive and supportive group and that made a huge difference during the entire process. If I can learn how to do this, anyone can so if youre on the fence, hop on over. Its worth it!

The most positive, spirited, engaging, and welcoming studio that gets to work! I was a little exhausted after my first class, but its the happiest Ive been in a long while. I was first introduced to Creative Veins in June 2020 to attend the intro to comedy course. Since that time I have taken advanced comedy, intro to acting, and private lessons with instructor Keary McCutchen. I have no prior stand up comedy or acting experience and never could have imagined standing on stage doing a stand up set. Based on Keary’s instruction and expertise not only have I learned the art of stand up comedy, but I realized this is something I could do quite well with the tools to be successful. Finishing 3rd at the Best of Smorg contest was an extremely rewarding experience for me and I could never have done that without my Creative Veins instruction. I have met many local comedians and attended several open mic events around Jacksonville. There is a clear separation between Creative Veins graduates and those that have not done formal instruction or gone to other places. I highly recommend Creative Veins for comedy and acting and appreciate Rebecca and Keary and all the work they put into delivering the best results for students!

Happy I made the switch! Creative Veins wasnt the first studio I trained at in Jax but itll certainly be my permanent one til I make my move to NYC. Creative Veins offers a safe place for me to work on my craft and all the instructors teach from a pragmatic and academic point of view (focusing heavily on Meisner & Strasberg acting techniques.) Once I walked through the door I instantly felt this positive energy. In only a few months with CV studio I feel better and more confident in my abilities than I ever have. The difference is night and day. I highly recommend this studio if your ready to be pushed and ready to be intentional with your acting. This is the place to discover your acting abilities if just starting out, hone the ones youre striving to further develop, meet cool people and jump into one of the most exciting and challenging careers you will ever pursue.

My son loves taking classes here. Hes been through two rounds of their kids acting classes so far and has the best time. Ive noticed he seems more confident and less introverted these days and I think the classes are the reason for that. Miss Katie (his instructor) is wonderful and you can tell she adores her students and pushes them to do well. I urge anyone who is interested in exploring their creative side or boosting their confidence to check this place out.

I just completed Acting Essentials Level 1 at Creative Veins and Im very pleased with what I learned in regards to the foundational skills and the basics of acting. The teacher Kat was engaging, provided great personalities coaching during acting exercises and provided a fun, supportive atmosphere. It was well worth the investment!! Im excited to move forward with my next class at Creative Veins.

Took the intro to comedy classes here and have loved every minute of it. They are professional, supportive and talented, and so much fun to work with! Looking forward to starting the advanced class this summer.

Both my daughters attend Creative Veins --- one for the kids acting class and the other for the teen class. Its a great program and no other place weve found is as warm, friendly and supportive if your child likes acting or performing --- even if its just for fun. My daughters have been going for a few months and I cannot begin to capture in just a few sentences how amazing their teachers are. This studio is a launch pad for talent and will bring out the very best in your children. I have to say I appreciate the fact that Im able to stay and see/hear class from their cafe or leave and run errands. This is a huge bonus for me!

This was my first ever acting class and Im so happy I chose to start acting classes here. The studio is so professional and you can tell they really care about each student. Creative Veins provides an environment for people to learn no matter what level or stage in acting they are at. My coaches are great people who are supportive doing whatever they can to help their students. Furthermore, the books my coach (Rebecca) recommended to me were awesome and helped drive some points home and clarify a few concepts I was fuzzy on. Absolutely amazing! From only taking the beginners class I learned so many skills that have applicability in real time. The studio is professional without feeling stuffy and their whole vibe is welcoming and lively so if youre like me, you wont wanna leave! First time customer who will definately be returning. My daughter has been begging for acting classes for a long time so I started asking around. This place came up and it turned out some church friends have a teenage son that goes there to. I enrolled my daughter in their Saturday morning class and she was extremely shy before her first class but after literally 3 minutes I could see she was having a great time and couldve cared less about me being there lol. The last class of the month has every student working on some sort of project and hers was a commercial and mock audition which we got emailed the tapes for. It was cool to see what shed been working on and get to have a copy of it. Ive shared it with family to and they loved it. She is now begging to go back so were going to sign up again. Shes really proud of those videos and Im proud of her for pushing herself to try something shes always wanted to do. This place is amazing and will make you and your little one feel comfortable and welcome! A++

I honestly gave the 4 stars because of the wonderful atmosphere and outstanding teacher. But I would have loved for the classes to be at least 2 months to be able to grasp the method being taught. I don’t think enough time is given. Overall a great experience!

Top notch classes! I took Improv 1 and 2 with Kat and she was awesome! Words can not describe the experience I had. If you’re someone struggling with confidence, public speaking or just looking for something challenging and different Improv is definitely the class for you!

Just completed an intro to improv class with coach Kat Kuhn and it was a blast. I was a little nervous since I have never done anything like this before but it was a really fun class with a ton of information to be had. Kat is a fantastic teacher - very encouraging & super knowledgeable. Everyone at Creative Veins is really friendly and made me feel welcome. Overall this was a top notch experience. I cant recomend this place enough. I just started as a aspiring stand up comic so i came in for the stand up class but ended up loving it and joining for the improv class and soon the acting class. I have never been to a place of learning so welcoming and informative. I think that keary has a nice way of teaching thats firm and helps people grow as a performer. I love seeing teachers with a true passion for their craft and helping others grow and he really does that. He really cares for the growth of everyone who steps in that building and thats really awesome. Then rebecca is the same way. She really wants people to come in and learn. She is very flexible and is willing to go above and beyond for the students who come in. I work over nights and they came in early to accomdate for me. They geniunely are some of the best teachers i have had and i have learned so much from them. I 100% recomend that if you have a vested interest to learn about acting or comedy come check them out.

This class was great and Instructor Keary gives you exactly what you need to succeed. I wish I had taken this class alot sooner. It challenged me and my fellow students and makes you look at who you are and what youre made of. I loved that we all came into the class with no experience and rooted for each other. I never once felt afraid to try. It is a welcoming place and I became friends with several of my classmates. This class was a lot of fun, but there is quite a bit of work and its crucial if you want to do well. Listen to the notes and feedback from him. Be open. Follow the formulas. I joined the Studios beginners acting class with no prior knowledge of acting. I was very nervous going into the class in fact I almost didnt go thru with it while I was in the parking lot but I braved it and Im so glad I did. The instructors were immediately able to make me focus on learning and forget about my nerves. Ive taken one on one sessions with the studio to and have learnt a lot of details about the art of acting. So far the experience has been great and I could not be happier with the coaches and classes. Im happy they decided to continue with online classes throughout this pandemic -------- Highly recommend!

Most teachers are actual professional actors so not only you will get good education, but also great connections. I attended the free class of Intro to Acting, and I really enjoyed it! Unfortunately I didn’t have the time or money at that time to pursue the rest of the classes, but I definitely will soon! The studio was nice and modern, and the teacher was good.

As someone with very little background in the arts, I was quite intimidated coming to class (I have taken Acting Essentials and Improv 1, but hope to sign up for more). I coordinated a team building improv session for my sales company to help improve personal skills like listening, reacting and adapting in real time, being in the moment, supporting the ideas of others without judgement, and much more. Creative Veins were absolute pros from start to finish. They taught us how to take a single suggestion and begin to work as a group to weave thoughts and themes inspired by the suggestion to help us create a world filled with wonderful characters and story lines that are built by the support and celebration of each others ideas. The result was wonderful. Not only did everyone laugh continuously for two hours, but we had a bunch of concrete takeaways that we can apply back to our everyday work. We had a blast and will definitely bring Instructor Rebecca in for another session in the future!

Ive taken classes with Creative Veins for awhile now and as a working actor I find it important to keep up my skills to stay sharp and keep me competitive in this business. This studio has classes for all backgrounds and the classes are relevant being taught by instructors who are agency actors like myself. Comparable to the studio I took classes with while living in NYC.

As an actor wanting to advance from community theater to a more professional level, I knew I needed a lot more training. Creative Veins Performing Arts Studio offered that for me. CVPA teaches acting as a craft and my teachers were extremely helpful in preparing me to work in my career and my goal of getting an agent.I took classes at another school and although I wont say they were bad, the training really is night and day difference. Rebecca was fantastic! I had sent an email late one evening, She got back to me real soon she understood my urgency and concern due to two auditions and the fact that my daughter had no monologue prepared. Rebecca’s communication and willingness to help was Amazing! She worked with me online and through texts and then got My daughter in for an appointment. Rebecca knows what she’s doing she was very educated in her craft asked great questions made my daughter feel comfortable and prepared her very well with the tools & knowledge She needed for her audition. My daughter felt comfortable with Rebecca and confident in her readiness for her auditions.Btw.. My daughter did great on her auditions and pass both auditions.

I took the Acting Essentials class at Creative Veins with Rebecca. This was my first time embarking into any acting class and came in with a desire to have fun and have a new experience. Creative Veins delivered on that and more; the people in my class with me were great, and the teacher - Rebecca - was fantastic. Beyond fantastic. Her enthusiasm, positive attitude, real talk when feedback was needed and authenticity make her an incredible teacher, and no doubt a wonderful actress. They have classes for everyone no matter your expertise so its up to you as to what you want to pursue and how deep you want to go. I cant wait to take my next class here and would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to start or further their acting career.

This place is a AWESOME!! A hidden gem that everybody should know about. I took the Stand-up Comedy class after one of my friends told be to find a place to perform. It was a great class, I found that I loved performing and plan to do more in the future. They offer other classes such as acting and screen writing and Improv classes. Which, I plan on taking also. The teachers are professionals and know what it is like from experience and will help you find your own way. This place have definitely let my creative monster back out and also inspired me to write again and get over this little writers block I was having. I cant say enough about the owners eachers and how much I appreciated them for starting this place. It is also a great place to meet new people and mingle and realize that our beloved Duval have all types of talent. They have an Open Mic every Wednesday that starts at 9pm. It is open to everybody for any type of talent. I find even when I dont perform, I like to attend and watch it is a different show every week. If you are not sure about taking a class try one of the free ones that they offer and see yourself; you have noting to lose, but much to gain from the Creative Veins experience.

I attended the intro to standup comedy class so far and it was well structured, and very informative. Its wonderful having the owner, who is also in the industry, teaching. I cant wait to continue. The location is beautiful, and the set-up of the classroom is welcoming and not intimidating which is nice when youre venturing into something as intimidating as stand-up.

Creative Veins is such an amazing way to get started in your acting career. Rebecca is so supportive and she is such a great teacher. She takes the time to help each and every student start their path to success. I just finished the level 1 Acting Essentials class at Creative Veins with Instructor Rebecca and I cant wait to start level 2 Acting Core in January. Rebecca is an amazing instructor! I was really nervous going in, but she put me at ease immediately with her warm and welcoming spirit. I cant believe how much I learned from just the first course.Ive wanted to do this for a long time, but Ive always struggled with a lack of self confidence. Im happy I finally signed up.Her encouragement and emphasis on positive feedback and notes of improvement helped me to shake the nerves and drop my guard. I always felt like I was in a safe, non-judgmental space in her class.I had a blast, met some awesome people, and left hungry for more. Thank you!

Ive been studying with Creative Veins for 6 months now and have learned so much. I am achieving things I didnt think would happen so soon in my acting career (like a supporting role in a short film and lead role in a commercial shot in Jacksonville). Slowly but surely Im gaining the knowledge and experience I need and building up my resume and actor reel. My plan is to move to Atlanta by end of 2020 and believe that because of my choice to train with Creative Veins this will be possible. My teacher Rebecca has taught me how to be authentic and real and take risks. She pushes me to make strong and interesting choices instead of playing it safe. She has created a studio environment that is supportive yet challenging for actors. This is not easy work and she finds a way to balance the nurturing side a teacher must have, but gives you the discipline you need to become a good actor. She does not sugarcoat anything. I would %100 recommend anyone who is serious about acting to join the Creative Veins Studio. I think its best for those that want to learn how to act and make it in the business.

My son is 19 and just wrapped up the intro to standup comedy classes - a birthday gift we decided to give him because hes always been the funny one on the family and has mentioned doing comedy routines many time. I was a little hesitant because he is on the younger side but I could not be any happier with how it went for him. I have not seen him so excited about something in a long time. The best part is we got to see him perform what hed been working on in class the last month at the studios open mic. He did great and is already talking about going back for the advanced classes. A great investment for the performer in your family. A++

I just started taking classes there and Im really enjoying myself so far. I was looking for an performance art experience and Creative Veins was a perfect fit. The classes are all affordable so I would urge everyone who writes or acts to come to a class and check it out.

Creative Veins is an amazing place to let lose and be yourself. Kats level 1 improv was so much fun. She is a great teacher with so much energy. You are on your feet having a great time the whole time. She is full of smiles and ideas. Come join the excitement and see it for yourself. I cant wait til level 2.Finish level two improv with Kat. It is a must take class. She is so much fun and you can tell she loves what she does. She gives great feedback and pushes us to always perform your best. There is never a dull moment. I lost my brother during the time of me taking the class. I was not going to go that day but I did. I am glad I did. It cheered me up so much with the energy and laughter. Creative Veins is the place to be. Thanks to Rebecca for adding more improv. I enjoy working with you both.

I recommend this studio for all of your acting needs. My coach Rebecca expanded my knowledge and vocabulary about the industry of acting and she devoted so much personal attention to each individual in the class as well. It was challenging for me, but my teacher never let me feel like I couldnt succeed. Im excited to explore the variety of classes creative veins offers in other fields, as well as continuing in their acting for film, tv and commercial track. Additionally, their welcoming environment in the studio makes it feel like a lifelong resource for actors. The teachers expertise on acting technique and the industry make them a lifeline in answering the many questions that come up in an actors journey, inside or outside of class. Ive requested Rebeccas help on everything from headshots to email etiquette and shes always responded non-judgmentally, with a level of care and knowledge that went above and beyond my expectations. She is an open book and ready to share her information with her students even if they no longer are students. This is the place in Jax for a new actor to begin their career.

I took the acting essentials and acting level 2 class with Rebecca. It was nerve racking, but it definitely was a good experience to help me get out of my shell. I learned the basics of acting and what is expected from performers. There is so much to learn and Rebecca is an intuitive teacher. I enjoyed my experience and my time there. I also took a few improv classes and that was pure fun and creative. The teacher is such an imaginative and fun soul. The only downside would be the limited parking space for the large amount of students that attend class.

What a blast! I reached out to Rebecca to schedule a private improv class as a team-building event for my real-estate brokerage. We had a mix of experience levels and an even greater mix of anxiety-levels about doing improv. Rebecca planned the perfect event for us! Keary and she had us all laughing from start-to-finish, and it was so much fun, I think we forgot to be nervous! We felt supported and comfortable, even when some of the activities were a little out of our comfort zones. Rebecca & Keary were willing to jump in and model and be silly themselves, making us feel less like novices in the presence of experts and more like a team. I cant recommend them enough, and I cant wait to go back for more!

My daughter started to vocalize an interest in acting so I did some research and ending up choosing creative veins kids acting class. I am so glad I did! My daughter had the best time in the class and returned for multiple sessions. It helped her to realize that acting was something she wanted to pursue and became a creative outlet for her. She loved every minute of it. She has now passed audition for Douglas Anderson school of the arts for performance theater and has also completed the intro to acting adult class. Even while she was the youngest in the class she did not feel intimidated at all, but only encouraged. Whatever your age, if you have an interest in acting, this is a great place to try!

Just finished the Level 1 class with Instructor Rebecca. She is awesome and encourages and directs the students to get the absolute best out of each individual. Her feedback is honest and extremely helpful. This class is terrific and definately value for your money! I will be coming back again for class 2.

This is going to sound dramatic but Creative Veins has changed the course of my life. I started with the Intro to Improv class which I felt might be a little less intimidating which then lead me to the beginner acting course which is what I really wanted to do all along then a Meisner workshop with an absolutely phenomenal coach Robert Mello they brought in from Atlanta and then onto an advanced acting course with Instructor Rebecca. I plan to take their scene study class in 2020. In short, I cant get enough. Why you may ask? Because I have in a little under a year gone from zero history/experience with acting whatsoever to self taping auditions, traveling to Orlando for call-backs and booking gigs (albeit still on the smaller side but Im getting work and mostly getting paid unless its a local passion project).I will continue my journey with CVPA as long as they will have me! Every instructor and coach has given me tools, a foundation in techniques, tips, courage and confidence to pursue my dream. Who knew that I would actually be living my dream I thought would always be just that - a dream. If you have even an inkling of desire to perform in any capacity, check this place out. You will thank yourself almost immediately like I did.

Rebecca is very professional and quick to respond to texts and emails. This was my first feature film audition and she made it very smooth for me. I definitely recommend Rebecca and her team for your acting classes and casting needs.

Working with there studio and actors is something I would do continuously. Not only are they true professionals but there actors are some of the top talent in Jax, very respectful but aren’t too shy to help correct an error.

I always wanted to perform and I had no idea what to expect going into this class. I was so terrified and didnt know how judgmental people might be toward my lack of an acting background. Keary knows how to get you out of your shell and put you where you need/want to be, depending on how badly you want it. Everyone in there is as scared as you and is so open and accepting. I highly recommend this class. The only regret youll have is not trying it.

Hello fellow humans, if you are on this site you must be or someone you know interested in acting, improv, comedy, or screenwriting..I have taken the acting classes at Creative Veins and totally fell in love with this art form. I only feel this way because my instructor Rebecca was so insightful and patient with all the students. After completing the courses the instructors are still available for tips and guidance on career moves. I would definitely recommend Creative Veins to anyone that is interested in entertainment.PS. My wife signed me up for a free acting class after a brief conversation one evening when I told her how much I enjoyed drama while I was in school. That was a LONG time ago and I was certain my skills were lacking (if still there at all). I almost didnt show up just because its not comfortable putting yourself in a situation you know little about. Anyways, I ended up going and Im so glad I did. It was fun, I learnt some stuff and even better, I learnt a thing or two about myself. It was great being in a room of people youd prolly never meet in a normal situation and developing skills together. The environment they have created is comfortable and thats important. Im not sure Ill ever put myself out there as an actor, but I will continue the rest of Rebeccas classes purely for self development and for a better understanding of who I am. Thanks for having me!
