We tried Undercooked and it was definitely one of the most unique escape rooms that Ive done - and Ive done plenty. One of my biggest pet peeves is escape rooms where you can only work on one puzzle at a time in order to move on to the next one. However, Undercooked comprises of a bunch of different puzzles that you can solve roughly in a non-linear way to get a high score. Definitely great for bigger groups or for people who dont like waiting on other people to solve the puzzles (like me). Shoutout to Mary for her great customer service and helping us figure out reservations and her great recommendation.

My husband and I are enthusiasts. Website says $35 at door. We were in the area for dinner and decided wed like to try one of there rooms. We walked in to try and book. Hostess asked if we had a booking, we said wed like to make one now. Told us no rooms were available. We went back to the website and 3 time slots were available. Why lie? If you want rooms booked online only, dont promote $35 at the door. I felt truly disrespected. They lost 3 customers.

We did Undercooked today and had a blast! Our group has done over 100 escape rooms and this room is very different than most others. There are dozens of non-linear small puzzles that are not super hard, so lots of quick wins. And its evident that someone is very gifted at software development as they created a custom app for this game as well as included some other fun high-tech puzzles in the room! We didnt do very well from a score perspective, but we were thoroughly entertained. My only suggestion is to allow people to add more time if they post on social media or something (assuming there is a reservation gap afterwards). Very clever room. Kudos to these guys! :)

Not my favorite escape place and weve done just over 25 escape rooms at this point. We first did Undercooked and had such a great time we thought wed try the Sorcerers Study. It was frustrating to say the least. Some of the puzzles just flat out didnt make sense. Others seemed to be unrelated to anything else in the room. I also dont care for their hint system. We would call our game master via a walkie talkie and they would then come into the room and spend several minutes explaining something. Several minutes of our time gone when all we needed was a straight forward hint. While the folks working there were very nice I dont think well try any of their other rooms.

Loved it! We did the Harry Potter room with 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids under 12). Escaped the room with 6 minutes left, and we used 2 hints. One clue we just flat out missed, the other was a bit tricky. Some puzzles took longer, others were quite simple. Great group activity. Lots of fun. Everything was very family friendly, which has been hard for us to find. Other escape rooms are a bit too much on the horror side for younger players, so this was excellent! Definitely recommend to others, especially those with kids.

We did the Harry Potter themed room, which had some pretty cool ideas and took a lot of inspiration from Chamber of Secrets. There were some cool uses of tech, and it was sometimes possible to lose yourself in this theme. But then other times, unfortunately youre actually just asked to solve a puzzle that has no relation to the theme (as in, sit down and solve this math worksheet), one of the puzzles we felt like it was not reset properly which confused us, and the trigger to actually exit the room was laughably out of theme to the point where we were asked to use a garage door opener in a harry potter themed room.Overall, not the best escape room experience, but still enjoyable!

Had a great experience solving puzzle and working as a team. The game really gets you hyped up and the best part was you need to work together to make it through. Visited this place with three of my other friend and we plan to come back again. If you want some different experience with lots of fun and brain storming with your mattes, you must try this place.

Decor was great but puzzle wise, it could need more help. One of the puzzles in phantom soldier requires major teamwork, but was one of my favorites because it created a lot of laughs. Other than that, some of the puzzles were do able without having one of the items needed for it.

We did the phantom soldier room. It had great visual appeal. There were about 3 types of puzzles in the room, which was a little bland and repetitive. The story line is straight out of Metal Gear, so points off for lack of creativity. They even use the COD Modern Warfare game cover image in the room. The end was uneventful. It is $32, which is more than an average escape game. I recommend spending it somewhere else.

Tried the Phantom Soldier room. The room environment was definitely well done and took real effort to put together. Puzzles are challenging but sometimes left you wondering where to go next. Still a good experience for friends or family.

This was my first escape room and it was tons of fun. We escaped with only 30 seconds to spare. I went home and immediately booked a reservation for the Harry Potter room. I cant wait to go back.

Totally awesome. We escaped the Harry Potter room with only 4 minutes to spare! It was actually my team from work and I that went. Were all software engineers, and love doing riddles/puzzles (we take turns giving them out for our daily standup!). So this was an amazing teambuilding exercise! Very highly recommended.

One of the worst escape rooms Ive seen. There is a large amount of purely math puzzles that are not connected to the story world of the game. The worst of which was three unthemed sudoku puzzles in the Harry Potter room. Because after all wasnt that your favorite part of the books and films? While the owner was pleasant after the games, he seemed to not understand how these math only puzzles and other poor elements of the game were not fun or memorable.

Definately recommend the Harry Potter room. The owners are really nice. One of the cooler rooms in the area but cannot compare to the big ones in LA.

This was my third escape room, previously I had tried Crossroads and Puzzle Workshop. Of the three this was my favorite escape room. There are some things about this escape room that are not so great. For example the actual building is very small. Imagine two rooms in a tiny strip-mall shop about the size of a starbucks. Another is that some of the audio I assume we were supposed to be able to hear was REALLY quiet. I am not sure if we just didnt find the volume rocker for that panel, but either way there was subtitles, so we read that. The disappointment however stops there. We did the hard room (The Phantom Soldier), and while we did the room with a pretty smart group, we escaped with only 10 minutes to spare. We did need one hint because we missed something ridiculously obvious, and should have been able to beat it without any hints. The room we did was really well done. Too many escape rooms basically just have filing cabinets with locks on them. Not only was there great attention to decoration and detail, but the puzzles themselves had a good variety and level of challenge. The room included some padlock-style challenges, but also a variety of mechanical challenges. The story was as well developed as I think you can expect for a 1 hour game, and a couple of the mechanics in the room were just awesome.A few tips for potential visitors:- This place is in the Diamond Jamboree center. if you know it, that will either set positive or negative alarm bells off in your head. The center is almost always very crowded so I suggest just going straight to the garage to find parking. The escape room is on the second level next to SWSH Sushi. There are a lot of great restaurants, and even a Karaoke bar and epic bakery in this center. You could easily spend an entire night in just this center.- This is the first escape room where I have been asked to lock up my keys in addition to my cell phone. They said some people were using keys to try to pry locks open, so if you dont feel comfortable with that figure something else out for your keys.- Due to the size of the building you CAN hear the group before you in the room, so i recommend waiting outside to keep everything a surprise.- They apparently refer back and forth with puzzle workshop, and if you like one I think you will very likely like the other. We will absolutely return for their other sorcery shaped room. I just wish these guys had more space to work with, because they are clearly talented at architecting escape rooms.
