Love this artsy place! Visiting here for appreciating arts and drinks. Came here for picasso and rain room! We are excited to see this evening.
If possible, avoid stopping by on holiday weekends. My first time here was on a Sunday night of labor day weekend and the place was PACKED! Glad we returned on the following night to get all of our touristy pictures in.
Love this place! When you step through the door of the 1909 Schoolhouse it’s as close to time traveling as we can get. Beautiful campus, supported by a dedicated time of volunteer & a small hard working staff. Visit and be amazed.
Large convenient parking lot on the Sunday I visited. The docents are long time locals and were engaging and knowledgeable.
Oh my, we passed by the museum and discussing about visiting or not outside of the museum door, a lady got out of the museum, chasing us, saying that she can charge us if we take pictures of the water tower, seriously? Never had an unfriendly experience like this.
Well done with enthusiastic volunteers. Very enjoyable
If you want to learn about the history of the early settlers as well as the natives in the Indio region this is the place to go to. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Parking is free.
My kids loved it great place to visit! The property is a good size not too big or small so many things to see and so much to learn about the Coachella valley they have props you can use for photos and not expensive to enter. This is a must see if youre in the area!
Great opportunity to explore the local history. They take great care in their displays. The School house is a site to see as well. Its is a child friendly environment. It would make an exceptional venue for an out door event such as a wedding or party. Highly recommend for seniors outing or childrens field trip. Super friendly staff , they are also very in tune with the history and lore.
Alot of things i didnt know about dates getting to the coachella Valley
Wonderful museum with in depth information and fascinating exhibits. Great for all ages!
I Run a Dj Business and it was my first time here Djn at this venue. The staff was so nice and professional but the venue is outdated on the electrical. I had the electricity breaker turn off twice on me while trying to do Quinceañera presentations.I had to shut off half of my Dj equipment in order to work with out popping breakers. Equipment that I provided was 2 15 inch speakers ,One 18 inch subwoofer, 2 Led Scanners, 6 Led Par lights, One Laptop, One Controller, External small Mixer, One Wireless Microphone. Doors need to open at least 2 hours before vendors setting up. We ended up starting later because of it. I wouldn’t recomendable this place for special events that would need big Dj systems or Live Bands unless they only take really minimal equipment for example just 2 small speakers and 2 Dj lights.Other than that the place is really beautiful and full of nice History.
Great museum with a lot of information and nice staff
There for a separate function, so didnt see much at this visit. I have been before, and it is wonderful!
A fascinating glimpse into the Coachella Valley history. Great volunteer guides share their knowledge of the area. Lots of exhibits and photos Make your stopover very informative and interesting.
