Wonderful place for family time.

Very nice clean & well kept building along with the grounds outside. My 1st visit to cheer on my grandson playing basketball. I purchased items from the snack bar & I was pleased. Great customer service and plenty of seating.

Beautiful park and recreation center lots of parking, soccer, volleyball, tennis, pickleball, walking trails.

They do a great job here for volleyball and basketball. My son plays for their elite AAU basketball team. Many of our friends have kids on their vball and b-ball teams. The coaching staff is surprisingly good. They know what they’re talking about and take the time to stop and teach your kid. Can’t recommend then enough.

A lot of courts and its well organized. A little pricey to watch one or two games. They dont take cards at the front gate. The grill area is nice. Great place to get kids involved in organized sports

Clean Gym. Very open with a lot of room. Nice concession stand area. Near a lot of motels and areas to eat. Basketball and Volleyball done here.

The courts were nice very well landscaped in the front nice place id like 2 come back again!!

First time there. I was really impressed. Just one negative comment some scoreboards are behind the seats so you cant see score without looking behind you or getting so as not to strain your neck.

Once you figure out where your teams boundaries are, you will be just fine. Oh and bring your own seat. -_-----just trust me on that one.

I like the fact that they have the Courtside Grille with places to sit. Nice facility all in all.

Nice place. My son team plays here at least twice a year and every year. The bathroom is always clean and stocked. Inside is very clean and neat for it to have four courts. The concession stand that have is wonderful! The prices are very reasonable. They have ice cream so that’s a plus for me and my family!

Attended Carolina Courts Basketball games Friday, Saturday and will attend Sunday with my granddaughter. Cost $20 per day, but you can watch games all day, 7 games played at once. If you love watching basketball, this would be fun for you. You are giving a paper bracelet to wear, which allows you to come and go as you please. Was able to sit where I could watch 4 games at once. Free parking.

Depends what you are looking for. We expected so much more from the coaching staff at Carolina Courts. We chose this facility due to the proximity to our home, after previously attending Carolina Juniors Volleyball on Granite Street. Were going back to CJV.The coaches at Carolina Courts dont work with the girls to have them improve. There is a male coach, Eric, I think that pulls the team aside and talks to them for more than five minutes at a time during games and practices. Ive recorded over 25 minutes of chat during the 75 minute practice. Let the kids play! Practice will make them improve, not listening to lecture after lecture. Another female coach is more of a sitter than a coach. I witnessed (week after week) little coaching, a lot of what appeared to be gossiping, and very little doing what I would expect, which is helping the kids gain confidence in the sport. Its apparent that after two months of practices that the majority of the girls in silver league have little confidence in what to do. At CJV after two months, the improvement in skills and confidence was ten-fold.Very disappointed.

I work a 1/2 a mile from this place but never been in it. It looks like a great place and I think Indian Trail did a great job on the spot. I would recommend it to anyone else.

This could be such a nice place, but it is instead a poorly run and poorly organized complex that leaves you with the feeling of never wanting to return. Even the lay out of the courts is terrible with no room for specatators and horribly uncomfortable bleachers where your view is obscured by the players standing on the bench. You’re also behind the score table, so the score is pointless. You have to keep score yourself. In addition, the people managing the place seem to enjoy telling people what they can’t do. You can’t have food. You can’t sit along the wall. You can’t sit on the top of the bleachers. Can’t wait to get out of here!In addition, entry is too expensive. With what they charge, there is no reason to have such limited officials. We had to wait through the losers match in order to play our championship match. The grill concept is nice, but the food choices are not.

We love the recreational league! The coaches are encouraging and the game continues to be fun and not about competition. Too many places/leagues for kids are highly competitive and stressful for them, but Carolina Courts helps them learn and grow. Plus they get great exercise!

Their Attack365 league is the worst managed league. My son didn’t learn anything there and coaches couldn’t be any less concerned. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for your kids.

This is a good program for the kids but as a grandparent I am spending almost $100 a month to watch my grandchild play games. Your prices increased drastically this season and you stopped giving the parents ANY price break. You really need to rethink this price increase !!!

Clean but never any open gyms. If you want pick up games go else where. Originally it was built for some groups and had time for pick up games. Now its to commercialized and primarily want leagues or teams. Kind of sad really. Used to have fun there at the old location when random people could play. Now its all for the teams. All about money which is why they are raising open gym rates. Which again they dont really have open gyms. Sell outs.

Nice facility but Very weird when there are multiple games going on. Kids dont know which whistle is for them. They charge way too much. Makes it hard for a family that may have more than 2 or three people to attend, or for extended family to come that may be large. Thankfully, its only me and mt son gets in free bc hes on the team.

Good on occasion. Just did a camp there and as one of the oldest kids I was stuck in a corner with no coach and told to shoot around. There was little instruction provided. The coaches seemed more interested in their phone than their jobs. One even said and I quote I am just here to get paid, this job sucks. Every member of the non coaching staff, admin and front desk, that I interacted with was passive aggressive and seemed to dislike their jobs.

The games are always exciting! Theres a good selection of food to fit the family taste buds and prices are reasonable!

Great place to get some good runs, Get some shots up and train a player or two. A meet new people. Basketball League play and staff are great at both locations. Look forward to getting a Chip in the Mens League when it starts up!

Great place to play and train for basketball for youngsters

8 courts available, they are using a 7 court configuration. The courts are a little small but overall a nice facility for an AAU tournament.

Very frustrated with the girls league. My daughter is in fourth grade and the canes are 20 minutes with no referees. They have only two teams play at a time so all the other girls just have to sit and wait to play. There are enough girls to form four teams and have two games going but they don’t. I’m currently watching 13 girls sit on the sideline and just watch. This is not what we thought this experience would be. We expected a real league with teams and games and referees.

Solid training for kids

Carolina Courts did a professional job at hosting a county tournament for over 70 local teams. Their staff was professional and resolved any conflict that arose with professionalism and courtesy. Unfortunately, not every parent/player/coach/team agrees with every call made on the court or the rules set forth by the governing association. Overall this was a great experience for me as a coach, parent, and bystander to watch some very well played basketball. Keep up the good work CC.

This is my second time here this is more of a gymnasium with lots of basketball goals and volleyball courts place was very clean bathrooms were tidy and they have vending machines out front with food water and soda if you need one.

U can always count on Carolina courts to offer a good night out with your buddies whether its playing hoops or vball. Admission a bit pricey but lights got to be kept on so totally understand.

They had the fall Special Olympics there. They wouldn’t let the people in wheel chairs on the synthetic grass for the football field. The made them go around the outer edge which was muddy and almost impossible to get through!

It is what you would expect. Clean and well kept. Clean bathrooms. Water tastes good. Good equipment. Always packed.

I love attending different family events here. They are always organized and friendly.

My daughter has her games here. Its very new and nice.

Great BB courts

Roomy enough to accomodate basketball any volleyball teams at the same time.

When I was there one half of the building had a big basketball court and then half the other half was a volleyball court to its a very big building and it has a vending machine close by the entrance but when I came there wasnt really any staff members yet to really call out their names and search to place for them but besides that it was pretty good.

Plenty of courts to play on. Good competition if you are looking for a good round of games. Talent pool was high school and up.

People wouldnt stop blowing whistles in my ear it was so noisey with alarms going off. The snack bar was closed and there was nothing close by really.

This is such a cool place! Great way for teams and their fans to get in from the weather. Its big, bright, and well organized, with a good grill right on the premises.

Very clean but pricing for entry to games too high. Parents of child playing in games shuld not hav to pay entry fee. They have already invested greatly for their child to play.

Great place to play a huge variety if sports with friends. Tennis courts, volleyball courts and soccer fields are all available free of charge. The basketball courts cost some money to use. Facilities are all kept very clean.

I was told that if the girls are playing at one center and the boys are playing at another center that they still have to pay....... for instance if the boys go to where the girls are playing they still have to pay to watch the girls games even though they are playing at there other court! Ridiculous. I have never had a problem with my son or my daughter having to pay at the others game until we came to Carolina Courts!! I have two children who play for the same team one for boys other for girls, sometimes one lose the other one win so we have to stay for one or the other game so why do I have to pay for either if they both play just might be out due to a loss. Please get it together Carolina Courts in Matthews, NC and stop being greedy.

The referees there are alot of fun and very professional. We had a great time playing volleyball there.

This place is well setup and they do a great job. Love the time we spend there! Free Wifi too so long as there arent 2500 people in there.

The staff is amazing. I was disappointed in the coaches and the teams that had games because they left the courts and stands a mess, expecting the staff to clean up after them. Certainly doesnt teach the players to be respectful of their beautiful facility.

This was year 4 for my family and I in attending/participating in the UC all star tournament and as always, it was awesome! We did come in 2nd in our older group for the first time in 3 yrs but still, unlike others, our teams don’t feel the need to break trophies, trash refs and leave 1 Star ratings on your reviews all because we lost fair and square. Our teams are excited about the competition they faced and the things they learned for their future in basketball. Carolina Courts was very clean, organized and helpful in every way possible during this tournament. Thank you Carolina Courts and staff for making all of this possible for our Children!

GREAT PLACE I LOVE IT

A really nice, clean, and fun place to hold sporting events.

1st time here clean, family friendly basket ball courts.

Only issue I had was the concession stand did not open when the special Olympics games started it opened later. Then when they were open they were out of stock on multiple items.

A lot of Basketball courts available. Restrooms are well maintained and competition for all ages. Lets Go!

5 stars for being a good, big, clean facility. Pickleball play is really good. Friendly staff. Lost a star though because this last weekend my 2.5 year old daughter and I were playing at the park across the street and decided to go watch some kids play basketball. They told us we needed to pay $8 each to come inside! I explained we didnt know anyone there we were just playing outside and my baby girl likes to watch basketball. Disappointed. Hopefully this was some rogue volunteer parent but cmon people. Have a heart and make an exception!
