Let me start by saying that the staff are generally friendly, and the selection of firearms is overall amazing; they have almost everything you could ever look for, and usually stay stocked up, even during the recurring crises that happen every one to two years. The range is fairly priced and I generally enjoy shooting here.Now , the tragedy of this place is the mark up. You can expect to see anywhere from 10-50% markup on all the firearms. New guns selling for WELL over MSRP, used guns selling for the price of new gun with no discernible reason. It really is tragic, because there are so many missed opportunities for sales I would argue, with prices that high. Lets talk numbers, guys, id love to take a few of those firearms off your hands.

These people are amazingly easy to work with. I was able to trade a few guns I didnt shoot for a Coonan .357 Magnum Semi Automatic. I am completely satisfied with all aspects of my dealing with them.

Had cash in my pocket trying to buy a gun, asked about trades, guy says been so slow may trade but cant buy. No problem, can sell gun easy, doesnt hurt to ask right. Started to ask about gun I was interested in, then guy turns and starts talking to someone else and ignores me, in mid sentence, then scoffs at me when I turn to leave. No wonder so slow. Guess Ill take my money somewhere else.

They worked on my pistol. They charge me $70 for trigger job including parts.The employees told me that they thought there was something wrong with it. Before I even picked it upIt was pretty obvious the trigger wouldn’t reset.Yet They made me pay for the job anyway. I would avoid this place

Best gun range/store in kc. Great gun stock. Layaway, also good trade in prices. Ammo is expensive, and low selection, but who isnt. Range. Gun rental 5 bucks. Also the best CCW class in the city. Old facility, but best quality. Range allows rapid fire. Go here.

Just bought a pistol from these guys. I give em 5 stars from the start! Called ahead to see if they had a particular gun and Jacob was very helpful. He put the gun away for me until I got there. As soon as I showed up, Jeremy greeted me and helped me thru the sale. Hunter also gave me advise and guidance. Much appreciated guys. I will def buy from Arms Mart again.

Excellent place to buy a new gun or get a old one fixed. My boyfriends friend is the gunsmith here and hes always been a great help.

Pretty good place, have always had good service. The staff seems to know what they are doing and are mostly friendly. A couple old guys who are a little gruff, but Im that way too, so thats ok.Pretty good inventory of stuff youll need.

Biggest selection of firearms Ive ever seen at any store. That is saying something too since the place is much smaller than most gun stores Ive visited. The owner and employees and knowledgeable and friendly.

These old man shops are not the future. If you want a 40 percent mark uo then shop here. Id give 2 stars if the guys were any nice.

I was personally described several types and allowed to shoot the differ types until I found the one I was confident and comfortable with,. All of you that are slamming Jim need to chill. The majority of the time he is joking around. Thats just his sense of humor. Get over yourself just because he dosent kiss your ass. If you would take 5 min and just talk to him like a human instead of an idiot you will get further. Ive purchased multiple guns from him. Anytime he gets something new and cool he gives me some ammo to check it out on the range... I drive all the way from Iowa to buy reloading supplies from him.

Stu was a great gunsmith. He no longer works here!This new guy, Joe, is NOT a qualified gunsmith, and has a terrible reputation throughout the entire area. Ask around, and ask why he was fired from his last job.Joe ruined the finish on my rifle by not clamping it in the vice properly, gouging a very deep scratch in the barrel, and then tried to cover his error without telling me about it, then tried to charge me $70 for the shoddily done cut and crown job! That is over twice what I paid Stu for the same exact work! What a joke! This was my first rifle, so it has sendimental value to me, and you could tell Joe didnt care at all about the damage he had done.And Jim, the owner, went right along, covering it up until I was able to point it out to them both and then he finally admitted to it but still made no effort to correct it. He even charged me for the cold blue I bought to fix the gouge!I was a 15+ year customer. They knew my name when I came in. I even defended Jim when people told me he was a jerk to them. But I have learned Jim is much more worried about money than retaining customers, and this incident made that very obvious.This is NOT A QUALIFIED GUNSMITH, and even if he was, this isnt the place you want to place your trust in.

Im a regular shooter @ Arms Mart. I come in regularly and I shoot with the pistol shooters. Best prices in town in cleaning supplies. Great service as well.

The gunsmith up there was very knowledgeable pointing me in the right direction on where I need to look for sights for my gun

They have everything and have been around for a long time so go there they have there own range and rental of a gun is only $5, if you don’t seem like you will be spending money however they will likely ignore you.

I have been going to this shop for over 10 years, they have a huge inventory of guns more than what you see in the showcase. If you dont see it, just ask. There is a very good possibility they have it, also have a great layaway plan.

Service goes beyond awesome, but their prices on just about everything in the store appear higher than average. I could have saved a few bucks ordering everything online I needed and burn up tons of money worth of fuel or I could simply shop locally helping one of many small businesses survive that make America, American.

Thank you for being helpful every time I go in and not pushy! I like coming here because besides getting excellent service I also get great prices!

Read the other reviews and could not believe what i read! armsmart is a very fair store on all buy sell and trades. I would not buy from anyone else. i have all my gun repairs, upgrades, custom work, done by Joe the gunsmith at armsmart. He does outstanding work, he goes over and beyond with each gun and does outstanding work. He cares about his quality of work and his relations with the customers is very important to him. He has been ridiculed in a review by someone not even man enough to use his name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when you are trying to ruin the reputation of a great person whom is a top notch experienced and knowledgeable master gunsmith that goes the extra mile to please customers. he has huge amount of repeated customers,some even drive from other states to use him for gunsmithing cuz they trust noone else. !!!!!!!!could mr G anom let me know what his profession is.......... or where he works so i can equally bash him and the company he works for and give it a bad rating , to try to wreck his carreer ! anominously Of Course!Anyone who has ever been in armsmart thinks a whole lot differently than the garbage you put in your review.cant wait to find G amom profession and place of employment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked to see a rifle that was on the back wall and the old bearded guy asked me if my eyes were bad. WTF! I wont spend any of my money in this place. I will go elsewhere and bring it back to Crossfire to use the range. I would not recommend buying anything from them.

Arms Mart has a great selection of not only guns, but parts and accessories as well. I mostly go there for parts and theyll have what I need 9 out of 10 times, easily.All the comments about Jim are pretty much true; he can indeed be the crotchety type and a bit difficult to read at first but I believe he is a good man with a good heart. When I took my CCW class with Cisco back in 2006, I had a Ruger Blackhawk .44 Magnum for my revolver. Jim took notice and told me to save some ammo and hed let me shoot a .44 Magnum Desert Eagle after the class. That was a ton of fun and I will never forget that.The reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because the prices on guns are definitely on the high side. Full MSRP on everything Ive ever personally priced there.

I wanted a SW MP Shield 9 and they were one of the only places In KC that had one. With their 10% discount for using a debit card or cash it was $30 less than the lowest place I checked - and that place was sold out. I know rifles and full sized pistols but Im getting a Concealed Carry Permit. Ive had full sized Sigs, Glocks and a Browning Hi-Power so I did my research for CCW pistols and then asked a TON of questions of the guy who helped me at Arms Mart about what to look for in a CCW pistol. They were very patient and knowledgeable. Large selection of CR Rifles (my passion) as well as modern rifles, pistols and shotguns. Many of the long arms are on racks on the sales floor so you can handle them. My experience made me a customer for life.

Cool local shop with indoor range (range is owned by crossfire)Of course things are a little expensive compared to online store, but you have to support your local gun shops.

Most the time i see people only looking while waiting to use the range, the staff can come off as rude at times but their prices are decent and offer a discount if paying with cash

I have been here several times prices are extremely overpriced, do not know their products or knowledge of guns , Only way I got service was because they wish to hit on my daughter, gunsmith was always too busy to help me ,only one time have the part I wanted for At 15, ,, the gun range is great but the gun is not worth your time or money

The gunsmith out there ether lied right to my face or didnt know what he was talking about but the prices of the guns are ok but I will not be giving them any business
