This place has a really nice selection of aquatic life, and it all is clean and very well taken care of. I watched them feed a blue-spotted sting Ray and a cow fish, super cool. Id feel safe buying here for my reef.

My husband loves going here. Hes build a relationship with Coby who is very knowledgeable about fish. This place offers a family experience. If your looking to get into fresh or salt water aquariums I definitely recommend them.

Just went to this place for the first time today, and I was truly impressed. There was a wide selection of live plants, which is what I came in for. One thing that really made me happy was seeing that they don’t keep their bettas in cups, but rather their own little tanks. The tanks were all clean, healthy and beautiful. I had to wait for service just because they were so busy but then they gave me one of my plants free —which I wouldn’t have minded too much anyway to wait— but it’s a great touch to show they really care about their customers and want everyone to have a great experience. Definitely coming here every time I want something related to my tanks. Loved it. You guys are awesome!

Even though its small this is my favorite place to get fish! The staff is great & theres always someone to help you unlike other local pet stores! As soon as you walk through the door there is someone there to greet you & help with whatever you need! Ive never had a fish die from here which I cant say for any other pet stores! Like I said its a small store but the quality & customer service is AAA!

This is the best fish store ever. The owner is awesome. All of her employees are so nice and willing to answer any of my questions. They dont rush you. I do not live in Independence but I drive out here just because of how awesome the people are, how clean the tanks are. If a fish could be happy her fish seem happy and healthy.

It’s a great fish store. The thing I can relate it to most is almost like you’re walking through an aquatic section of a zoo, but you’re able to buy the fish you see.The employees will help you with recommended fish, how many to add at once, and make sure you keep your tank’s bio safe. Really cool and fun, especially the giant Plecos, koi, pufferfish, and ray they have on display. Also, I’d never forget about James Charles the eel.

Wife and I have bought 5 fish from here. All have brought ick to our tank and have resulted in the deaths of multiple fish that we had long before buying from this place. We test our water and introduce new fish by the book. Do not recommend.

By far one of the best places to purchase fish, they have such a beautiful selection to choose from and a lot of things that you wouldn’t be able to find at other pet stores. The prices are good and reasonable and the staff was super friendly. Definitely will be my go to place for any of my aquatic needs.

I just had to clean 30 freaking snails out of my aquarium. They had to have come on the plants I bought here 2 months ago (obviously some multiplying occurred). Previous to this there were no other live plants or snails in this aquarium.. I believe it was some variant of baby tears.VERY frustrating, will not return.

Extremely kind and friendly. All of their fish are reasonably priced. Often their fish are bigger than other pet stores and are cheaper. They have an amazing selection, in saltwater, freshwater, and coral. I personally drive an extra 15 minutes because they are that much better over every other store in the KC area. Highly recommend it.

Love this store! Found it doing research in my area when Brothers per store went out of business. They are more knowledgeable and deal exclusively with just fish! Isabella is a wealth knowledge for such a young lady and the owner’s, Colby and Shelby(?) are fantastic! The answer all my questions and take the time to help me. They even have raffle nights with food served. The only thing bad I can say about this place is that I spend too much money! Always! Oh and their hours suck. But keeps me from spending more money I guess.

I went in for feeder guppies and was really impressed with the employees and warm atmosphere. Kind of felt like like regular people... comfortable and relaxed... with an impressive selection of fish. I just really went away in a better mood than when I pulled up, and I was already in a good mood.

A simple no gimmicks local fish store with a decent variety of fresh and saltwater livestock run by aquarium hobbyists. Worth a visit, make sure to check the hours first.

I cant say enough good things about this store. Friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. A big shout out to Coby for coming to my house on a Saturday to install my duel reactor. He did a great job and also took the time to par my lights and set all my pumps. I recommend stopping by and checking this place out.

Great people and great selection

We came to this store a few months back when we bought our new home that came with a 200g tank. Never owning a tank before we had a lot of questions. The first day we went in was Wednesday when the owner has the night off but we eventually were helped by her parents. I love that its a family shop and we loved the selection. They got their freshwaters in that day so it just worked out. They had us bring in a sample of our water to test and even came out after hours to look at the tank. We ended up getting about 25 fish over the next few months. Until a couple days ago when our tank sprung a leak. We saved all the fish and had to transport them back. She offered to hold onto them until we got it sealed but to do so was too much for usWe are now going to get a bearded dragon but wont stop stopping by to get our fish fix. Maybe someday well get a smaller tank but I appreciate her and all the help shes been. Never knew I could enjoy and come to love my fish so much

I’ve been coming here for a little over two years now and every time everyone is always super friendly and helpful. Prices are great and the fish are healthy. I recently had to temporarily take my tanks down and they helped with “fish sitting” until my tanks were back up. I basically do almost all my fish “shopping” here and highly recommend this place to everyone.

Basically the best place on Earth. They have everything you could ever want, or can get it for you. The people are absolutely wonderful and everything Ive ever gotten from there has been great!And whats really amazing is that if something dies within 48 hours I believe it is, you can take in your water and theyll replace it for you.

Asked a staff member if they carried Dovii a wolf cichlid. They said no but were willing to ordering them in. The store was clean, yes there was a dead fish in a tank. Could have been a new shipment or bad luck. Owning a pet store is difficult and as we all know keeping fish alive is hard work. If you are a fish lover please help support this store. We have lost serveal local pet stores this year in KC. Support KCs local Pet Store businesses especially this one which has such potential to be great.

Amazing variety -Im editing because every single fish I bought came home with ick. My tank was cycled and thoroughly tested each time before I bought a new fish from them. It killed my 3 year old angelfish even.

Twice I visited the store to speak about aquarium maintenance. I left my phone number each time. Twice I was told that they would call to set up an appointment. Both times they did not call. Once is a mistake. Twice is a bad business practice. If a company doesnt want my business or do the job, they should have the courtesy to inform me. Its probably good that I did find another service that is run in a professional manner.

I came in today got 2 shrimp 3 guppys this is the most amazing place Ive been to for fish theyre all healthy and this place is all aquatic life salt fresh u name it I seen sting Rays beautiful theyre not for sell they even had female bettas communitized there male bettas are for sale in vases rather then tiny cups there salt water tanks are gorgeous the women there were so sweet the little girls that were helping were adorable n smiles very polite to me everyone n helpful I paid 10$ for 3 beautiful guppys two adorable bright red shrimp and a nice bag of duct weeds amazing price beautiful healthy fish out of all the tanks I did not see one fish dead they were even going around cleaning and checking all fish out very amazing to see will never go anywhere else now that I know this place is here!!!!! Great price sweet people healthy aquatic thats hard to find now days that fish keeping is no longer as common as use to be!!
