Even though the building is new the seats, the screen, look and feel old. Almost always is empty, they dont have many showtimes, I dont know if people arent going to the movies anymore or is this location in particular that its not very popular. However it has everything you could expect from a movie theater.

Pre-pandemic : You might miss all the previews standing in line to get food for yourselves

I got to the counter and there were like 6 people behind it and no one came to help for a good couple minutes. But the bathrooms are so clean and smell like fruity candy. Seats are comfy. Popcorn a bit stale. But gotta love the movies

The movie theater is great. My complaint is the customer service that Noeller provided really sucked. You never ask a paying customer what you want! Also you check to make sure your equipment is properly working before you provide false information about the ice machine not working. You politely say how may I help you? She needs to be retrained on how to provide satisfactory customer services. Always remember to treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Today the fire alarm turned on during a viewing of Just Mercy. We were all asked to wait outside until the fire department gave us permission to come back in. The Theater Manager was super patient and gave us free tickets for a future screening. He also offered to reimburse those who paid for food at the consession stand. Im grateful for the way this situation was handled nand I look forward to coming back soon.

Great aesthetic, new theater, very clean. We saw Downton Abbey here and liked it so much we came back and saw it again. The sound was adjusted perfectly-- not blowing our ears out-- so important to enjoy a movie!! Staff were professional and helpful. Thanks, Hyattsville Royale!

$6 movie Tuesday.. always a favorite for my son and me. Location dated on the inside, no reclining chairs. Very clean, concession a little slow; but all in all a good space. Parking is free for first two hours; but with previews and most movies, youll end up paying $5 for parking in the garage. Will return.

Been here twice and I love theatre pretzels more than anything. This is the first one Ive been to in a long time that has an actual not just pretzel bites

The fat Hispanic chick with the blonde ponytail was very rude. She didn’t ask how may I help you instead she asked what do I want. Then she placed my receipt on the counter instead of in my hand. Ultimate disrespect. She needs to have a better attitude when working in customer service especially considering the fact that I’m paying her salary. If customer service isn’t for her maybe she should further her education and land a better job.

The place is nice and close to home but the seats have to be replaced with something more comfortable like in Greenbelt! Other than that I would give it 4 and 1/2 stars

Love this theater dispite the fact they have not updated to recliners. The screens are large and the lobby spacious. Unfortunately the concession stand is slow and the popcorn is never hot. The theater is extremely clean and on Tuesdays all shows are $6.00 with your Regal club card.

Food is definitely pricey- although thats just a problem with Regal in general. Seating is ample and comfortable, and movie selection and times are pretty good. Definitely could use reclining chairs like the AMC in greenbelt.

The staff was helpful in explaining the food items . The prices just right. The theater and restrooms clean . The sound was just right for the movie JUST MERCY.

Went to the theater on Monday for a 12:30 show.. The computer would not scan the barcode for unlimited membership. The manager then over rode the system and issue the ticket. Manager would not honor any of the rewards for upgrades or 10% discount for snack purchase. Had to pay full price. NOT COOL.

Im only giving it 3 stars because to buy the tickets inside there was only one machine available. The other two were down and the normal registers were closed. Overall all the experience was nice.

This is a really nice and spacious movie theater. Although its more convenient for me to to to Gallery Place, I will strongly consider making this location my main go too. Also, I was very pleased to hear that they offer discounted ticket and concession stand options. When a business establishment do this, it shows that they care about ALL there patrons, even the ones who belong to lower income classes. The most memorable moment of my customer inquiry experience was the outstanding, patient and personable service I received from Mohamed D. This young man is definitely on his way to the top. Regal Cinemas need to know how fortunate they are for having such a knowledgeable, courteous, authentic and dynamic team player. His peoples skills are on 1000 to the tenth POWER!!! He is a great representation of a young, savvy black man presenting himself in a positive manner. Where are the news cameras at, when it comes time to capture moments like this one.

This theatre had only one person at concession stand & he was ticket sales as well. It was 3 pm when we went. I hope this doesnt mean theyre getting ready to close down. Its very convenient for us.

Yea they should just pack up this regal. The drink machines don’t work, they’re always out of one thing or the other. The concession staff have to now double up as box office staff and they are understaffed. So it’s a nightmare. 3 people working the concessions and tickets on a Saturday is just not it. If you must see a movie here, leave enough time to get tickets and snacks.

Big seats, cup holders, and small theaters so no bad seats in the house makes this theater a fun place to go!

This movie theater has the older style seats but depending on which theater your in the sound is great!!

Hmm I got so many memories here. Dates multiple dates. Had fun with those dates in the movies. Not really comfy chairs so couldnt had all the fun I wanted our space was limited. We needed more space so we could move around. And cuddle and fun. Lol nah let me stop playing. Place is good tho the mall is right there so make sure you go get your snacks there because as we all know movie theaters now a days be tripping I still and will never get over the fact I paid $8 for a 16 oz bottle and you know why I bought the damn water cause I got high and I had cotton mouth like a serious case. It wasnt this movie theater tho theres was no easy way of having fun if my mouth was dry.

Concession stand was very slow (only one attendant working the entire stand) and he had a very low attention span. Otherwise theater and restroom s were clean. Overall experience was good.

Conveniently located, but some guy cut in line ahead of us at the snack counter. So we spent 20 minutes ordering and waiting for a pretzel. Then the seat I sat in smelled like the previous visitor hadnt showered in weeks. We should have moved but didnt want to interupt. Well, actually, I shouldnt have had to deal with it in the first place. This place needs to be maintained better and the staff shouldnt be afraid of the customers and let them walk all over other patrons.

The movie experience was great! But the parking was horrible. They validate parking. But the attendance refused to let me pay the validated price. He insisted I pay full price $9 instead of the $1.75 with my validated ticket.

Theatre is nice but feel that mgm. isnt great. Hate waiting in a line behind people getting food when I just want to get tickets. Yes sometimes when I want food and I have time I do get it. I know you are just trying to get $ but really can you have more than two at concession/ticket counter? have a designated ticket purchase person so I dont have to come 30 minutes before movie to allow for slow ticket purchasing?

I saw Teen Titans Go! To The Movies at 10am on June 26th for a special summer $1 showing. The theater was really nice overall, nice, big, and fancy with a decent screen size. The speakers were really good as well! Tho its not the theater itself I had a problem with...I definitely had a problem with the people I shared it with. There were about 5-6 summer camps in the theater with me, and they were all really noisy, rude, and disruptive throughout the movie. No one did anything about it either and I was disgusted by the state they left this theater in! Walk in, beautiful; walk out, trashed. Only problem I had with the place was the people, but overall it was fine. Conclusion...beautiful place, terrible people.

Its okay a little pricey and you cant refill your drink like AMC Theaters. Comfy atmosphere

I saw 2 movies this evening and enjoyed both. During the second a guy talked out loud at the beginning, but shut down once a few people got on him

Went to go see Small Foot with my God-son, the seats have adjustable arm rest so getting a seat that was comfortable was easy. The ticket kiosk were functional and made purchase a snap. All and all a nice theater.

Wish the hot food machine wasnt out of order tonight. They have a decent menu of hot food for a competitive price. However, the soft hot pretzel was an acceptable fill-in this time. Three theater and facilities are clean and have never had an issue with a less than polite audience.

Im not big on purchasing anything from concessions at any movie theater, however once in a while you cant resist. In the case of this theater resist or come an hour early to get through the line in order to see your movie on time. The young man that worked there did an excellent job but clearly management needs to address their staffing issue. I give the young man 10 stars.

Triflingest of trifling, I mean there was no sound or picture for 20 MINUTES, just a blank screen, and then they had the AUDACITY to start the movie in the middle as if we could see or hear what had happened before hand. I was disgusted, and if Im being honest I want my money back i paid for the WHOLE movie, not the movie minus 20 min.

Been coming to this theater for years and have never had an issue. Adult tickets are $13, matinee is $11. They have regular seating which definitely needs to be updated to keep up with others but they arent uncomfortable. Im not sure if this location participates in $5 Tuesdays. Concession prices are ridiculous. Nice staff. Clean bathroom and theater house. The location is in a small town centre with a mall & metro station right across the street. A lot of eateries in the small town centre.

Very unhappy with the level of service or lack of said service. The ticketing booth was closed and the ticket kiosks were operational only. Well 3 of the 4 were operational on ok they sell tickets at the concession but didnt tell anyone about that either. Maybe I am confused about how a movie theater should work? Ok I shall lower my expectations.

A very nice cinema. Not the newest but with flair. The sound is pretty nice but mabey a bit too loud.

Most theaters have premium seating and for the location of this theater not to have premium seating is a small let down. Also tried the popcorn and it was definitely old and not fresh.

Im 63 and on a first date. My date was great, Movie was good, theater was nice and clean, (I enjoyed the rocker feature of the seats). The theater lobby was nice and clean. My only problem was there was no one at the concession stand (Even though we didnt want anything), and there were no ticket attendants in the lobby. I bought my ticket online. Instructions said take to ticket person and they would scan the bar code. We went all the way in to the theater. I turned around and went to the ticket desk and the young man scanned my bar code. Situation a little confusing, but it all worked out. Thanks Regal !! She wants to come back again. Happy New Year.

Great theatre. Nice folks. The keep our clean and buffed. They dont have the reclining seats, but the seats are comfortable, rock, and give you plenty of good leg room. Its easy to park and very close to some fabulous restaurants. Love this place!

Its too cold in the theater. Feels like 50 degree in there. You get freezed while watching the movie. Thats why i give 3 stars Apart from that...its good place for movies.

Lovely theater we went to go see joker the movie was terribly boring and painfully slow but thats besides the point lol, as far as the theater it had great sound and the seats recline very spacious isles the only problem is the customer service at the snack bar young kids who are more interested in whos coming into the theater than providing customer service.

Service at the concession stand was great. It started out slow, but they opened another line so that we did not have to wait. The young lady that waited on us was fantastic. Sometimes when its the last Sunday night show they get lazy, but not here. They were amazing. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. Even the Security guards.

It was really nice. There was a wait for getting concessions, but it seemed like theyre understaffed. I really enjoyed the movie, the chairs were comfortable, and the theater itself looks really professional.

The movie was great!The fact that there was only one person behind the counter doing everything was rediculous. She was great amd had a wonderful attitude in spite of the lack of help she had.I thought it was unfair to the the young lady that was there basically by herself.The managers were no where to be found. The only aother person I saw was the guy outside sweeping. Poor management thats why I gave this theatre a 3 star rating.

The movie Harriett was wonderful. The Regency Hyattsville Royal is slipping in service.

This theater is my favorite for a low-key date night. The location is great because there are several casual dining options nearby. Peak times are weekends so if youre not fond of packed theaters just catch a weekday showing. The staff are pretty friendly and Ive never had any service issues.

This is my favorite theater for a reason. The people that work here are nice, thec seats are comfortable, and they have a good handle on lines (they kept us moving pretty quickly).

Overall this is a nice, clean theater. Ticket price was very reasonable and the theater wasnt packed, even on the weekend.

Where do I begin.... I purchase my tickets online and arrived more than 30 minutes early for my movie. I went straight to concessions for my usually popcorn, nachos and drink. I waited more than 30 minutes in line only to receive burnt popcorn, cold nacho cheese and only two selections of soda (which I do not like) and missed previews and about five minutes of the movie. This place is badly unorganized and this all happened on a weekend day at 4 pm.

Neg: No reserved seats, no footrests or cool recliners, garage parking(need to remember to validate and pay), the food lines take FOREVER and its average, more expensive than other theatres.Pos: There is a good amount of movies available at once, especially popular films and quality is pretty good. Seats are comfortable and rock a bit. Many clean bathrooms, facility as a whole is usually very clean and looks nice. Some food places nearby offer discounts for going after a movie.

I paid $25 for a 3-D movie and it was blurry for a half hour or so and I had to tell them so. Because me and my GF always beef about the extra cost of 3-D movies. So I had to!I forgot to complain to get it compted.Aw shucks!

The theater we sat in was very large and clean. The concession line moved rather quickly given the fact there were two cashiers working on a saturday night. I especially like how they validate parking since we have to pay.

Generally, this is a pretty pleasurable Movie experience. The biggest negative is parking. There is a small garage next door which grants you an hour and a half to two hours for free. However even if a movie starts at 12, it doesnt actually start playing in 12:30 what with previews and commercials. So you really have to figure that in your time, and the end result is that you were going to end up paying for parking that they lower you in with as free. Please keep that in mind.

Nice and clean but no reclining seats

I had a horrible experience on Valentines Day. The lines were long and concessions had no kind of order. They were just handing out food without checking order numbers. My friend waited about 45 minutes to get both our orders, his fries were cold, and he ended up missing the first 20 minutes (or so) of the movie.

We had a cashier named Bennett that was super nice. Nowadays, we dont get pleasant customer service. But this guy was made the experience of going to the movies awesome.. I dont usually write reviews unless service is bad or spectacular.. and this was a spectacular experience.

The movie US started 20 minutes late and someone forget to dim the lights. I validated parking, but I still had to pay $5. I will never go back to this theater!!

I am currently sitting in the movies with my kids and they forgot to turn the lights off. I keep trying to call them and cant get through.

This place is unprofessional, they typically have one person to purchase tickets from in person. The food area never really an issue there. The females who work here have terrible customer service especially to young adults and minors.

Coming in the theater was fine. Even purchasing my tickets were great. But however the concession stand was backed up and we stood in line for 30 minutes. Then after that we waited for our food for and additional 25 minutes. Missing 35 minutes of the movie. My movie experience was not the best at all..

I took my kid to watch the latest Spider-Man movie and it went ok. Some people behind us answered their phones twice during the movie and it’s just frustrating. Service at the convenience stands could be better, but the place is well maintained and clean.

Gotta love when movie theatres have unmarked exits and people getting busy right behind you. Good Skittles and a good movie though.

Very nice tbh. Its clean, pretty pretty, and the staff are fine. The thing is that its not in the best area so theres usually a drunk guy roaming outside. One time i was walking there with a friend and this random drunk starting speed walking towards us and only stopped following us until we ran into a close store

I always get a good seat, the bathrooms and theaters are always clean. The staff are nice too! The seats dont recline, but they are still really comfy! A nice place to spend an afternoon or evening.

Staff was nice but if youre deaf DO NOT GO HERE. Their glasses dont have a charge.

I love coming here. It is never too crowded, the concession stand is always neat but what tops this place is the guy with the long hair at ticketing, he has customer service skills out of this planet. I think the day they let him go, I will stop coming.

The seats are a bit uncomfortable I guess after going to AMC in Wheaton several times with the ones that recline, I had a hard time getting comfortable. I ran into a few customers that were disruptive. I heard like three different adults/parents using alot of profanity at their children which is one thing I cant stand!!!! I dont think I want to go back especially with my children.

Everything was ok until the fire alarm went off and we had to leave the movie.

Always seem to have a good time. Either during a weekday or weekend. Friendly service all the time.

In ordered a medium popcorn and a medium fanta orange soda. It was very good. Marvels The Avengers Endgame was fantastic

I am very disappointed. My husband and I went in to see the 330 showing for Glass. Unfortunately due to several teenaged children being disruptive, I was not able to enjoy the movie. I would love to continue to patronize this location because its close to my home but Im having my doubts. Some things definitely need to change.

Theatre is fine, but we recommend allowing an extra 20+ minutes if you plan on concessions. They seem to be consistently understaffed and the staff they do have seems to under-care. (Especially if your order involves something outside of normal cinema fair. We ordered a burger and chicken tenders.Took an eternity and be warned, the burger came bare, just a patty and bun ... no pickles, catch-up, or mustard.

At one point when the theater was fairly new it was really nice. Now its a playground for a lot of teenagers that talk more than view the movies. Had this experience more than once!!!...

My fave theater! I love it! It is never too crowded.It isnt overrun with out of control teens like other theaters.The seats are comfortable and ample space in between rows which is crucial for my 63 husband. I love the staff and the validated parking.The regal rewards is also boss. I have no complaints about this theater.
