Steve was absolutely fantastic to work with in meetings prior to the event and so extremely helpful during the wedding. Sherrill was quick to respond to emails and was incredibly helpful with the design of the monogram. She kept us up-to-date. The lighting inside and outside was gorgeous! Steve did a spectacular job with making all the announcements and the music was wonderful. Steve made sure to play the songs my daughter, the bride, requested and made sure he didnt play the ones she didnt want played. No one could have done a better job. I appreciated everything that they did and how effortless it was on my part. The entire team was terrific! It was a wonderful night...just magical!!!

During our consultation, Steve was very friendly and engaging, giving us a lot of confidence in our decision. When the wedding itinerary was sent, there were some mistakes but, when we reached out to correct them, the response was immediate and everything came off as planned during the wedding and reception. Finally, our DJ for the day, Clay, did a great job of keeping everyone on the dance floor. His ability to read the crowd and pick music that would be appealing for all generations was spot on. Metropolitan DJ was the perfect choice for our wedding. We had an outdoor ceremony for which they supplied a sound system for music and a lapel mic for the officiant. The guest were able to hear the music and the ceremony (opening words, prayer, vows, etc). For the indoor reception, they supplied music and dance floor lighting. The dance floor was packed until the very end! We are so thankful they were part of our wedding vendor team.

Steve and his crew are the ONLY DJ vendor you need for your events! My dad and (now) husband were so nervous about our father daughter and first dance, but Steve suggested an abbreviated first dance and then noted my subtle “ok” nod during the father daughter dance - which prompted him to welcome other dads and daughters to the floor. He was aware of the “crowd” and his announcements were perfectly timed and stated and it did not feel like he “took over” like some DJs I’ve seen. Keep in mind - if that’s what you want he will do that too! He just did EXACTLY what we needed, which was uplights, cake spotlights, announcements, and music that suited our audience! I won’t get married again but ANY other event I do will def be DJed by Steve!!!

As a wedding videographer in North Alabama over the past 10+ years, I have seen first hand the difference it makes in having a professional DJ who specializes in their craft and takes great pride in it vs. having a hobbyist who simply plays music.Let me assure you that the difference is HUGE.The disc jockeys at MetroDJ dont just have a playlist, hit play, stand back and let things take care of themselves. Metropolitan Disc Jockey provided music and sound for my wedding ceremony, background music for the cocktail hour, and music and uplighting for my reception on May 20, 2017 at the Westin in Huntsville, Alabama. Steve Metz was the DJ for my event. He was amazing. All of our guests danced the entire time and everyone I talked to made a point to tell me how great the DJ was. I have several friends getting married in the next year and keep telling me that they want Steves playlist to play at their own wedding. We did not have a wedding coordinator but Steve kept the wedding on schedule for the first dances, cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss and our sparkler exit. Also, the uplighting was beautiful. He worked with our event decorator, Kris Clark Designs, to position the lights in the perfect position. It transformed the room. We would choose Steve all over again! He did my sisters wedding in July 2015 and did a great job as well.
