Terrible interaction with the staff at the front door today. Usually it’s good here, but what happened just rubbed me the wrong way. Hopefully I’ll just chalk it up to the new staff, but they were very rude.

Love this place! My daughter has taken swimming lessons here since she was 3. Kaitlin is the best. She is awesome with my daughter and they have become buddies over the last few years. Sometimes the pool water is quite cold. However, the center and bathrooms are always clean.

I am so thankful for the great customer service I get at the Rec. The people I deal with there, particularly at the front desk, are a delight. Interaction with staff at the Rec is always a highlight of my day and makes me proud to be an alum!

Great place to hang out

The best place in Huntington to workout! Super affordable for alumni. Very nice, clean, and up kept equipment. Not very busy in the mornings so you have a lot of the equipment to yourself. The college staff are courteous and keep things very clean. 1,000% better than working out at the Huntington YMCA.

State of the art facility and equipment. Wide variety of exercise, workout, and recreational activities. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Everything is kept very clean. Great value.

It was good I like to play basketball their but the reason I am giving it a 4 star is because u have to be 14 to stay without an adult and I’m 13 and that’s pisses me off change it to when u first hit a teen but ima change it to five cause u can meet a lot of nice people their

High end equipment. Staff are everywhere in case you need them. Everything is very clean and well taken care of. A lot of things to do such as a track, racketball courts, rock wall, basketball, swimming, hot tub, etc. Plenty of parking across from the rec center and a lot of room to do whatever you want. Lockers in the locker room are very nice b/c you dont have to bring your own lock since you can set your own pin code to the locker you choose. Showers are nice and spacey. Overall good quality.

Great place to work out

This is an excellent gym if you can get the discounted rate. Student, family of student, or alumni have discounts. If its the full price then there are better gyms around that are open 24/7. The limited hours for this spot is its only weakness. Good place to workout in general though.

There are a lot of fun things to do at the rec center. They have a good rock wall that is updated frequently with new routes. They also have very nice basketball and racquetball courts. Free for marshall students also have a good weight room from what I understand although I dont spend much time in that section.

Very nice. Not enough setting along sidelines at basketbal tournament but is a minor problem. Parking easy at football stadium .

First time, grandson had a basketball game. Very impressed, clean, great asset to the Community. We felt safe, comfortable and the Atmosphere was great.

My family and I have been members at The Rec for 3 years. It has something for everyone seeking to improve themselves or to just go have fun. I highly recommend everyone check it out.

Nice and clean facility. Can be very busy during the college school year. Has a variety of equipment and group classes so theres something for everyone.

Varied recreational and fitness programs for all age groups.

Look forward to visiting Marshall and Huntington. A good day trip and a chance to see the Thundering Herd is certainly in my future.

Lovely place to swim

Have plenty to do for 20 somethings college students and looks clean, staff on hand if needed for anything

The rec center has a lot to offer to members at fairly competitive rates to the YMCA. Basketball/volleyball courts, racquetball, a climbing wall (costs extra), lots of workout equipment, an indoor track, pool, etc. Its especially nice for students as its cost is a required part of tuition, but for alumni of Marshall or city residents its a fairly convenient place with a lot of amenities.

This place has everything packed in. Staff is friendly. You just need to come here sometime and have fun.

Excellent well kept facilities. Although if you are not a student it can be extremely pricey. They have just about everything you need to work out though, swimming pool, multiple basketball courts, weights, cardio, even a track all inside.

This is the cleanest, most well-equipped gym in the area. The staff and instructors are great and enthusiastic.

You have to be marshall affiliated to use this facility. The rec is always very clean and the staff is helpful. The lockers in the locker room can be annoying.

As a student, this facility is pretty awesome. Great place for other events as well.

Ok lifting gym, ok climbing wall. Better for aerobics and intramural sports than actual strength training.
