One of the most beautiful places in Houston. I have lived here for nearly 15 years and this is a great place for a quiet stroll and even a picnic in the clearing at the top of the stairs. You feel like you are standing above Houston and yet the buildings and city tower over you, this must be enchanting at night and I have yet to see it during the evening but even the daytime skyline is stunning. If you are a skater, as I am, this is one of the greatest skateparks in the nation. Aesthetically there isnt a fairer place

This skate park has such a variety of areas that any skateboarding level can have fun and more advanced features for the higher level skaters. Plus the location is beautiful with the Houston skyline in the background. Make sure you have a helmet its required!

My son is a skateboarder and he has been going for years. The staff is awesome and more like mentors to the kids. I had actually meet Joe Jamail before he passed away. He was excited about the renovation of the park. How kind of him to help create a great place for skateboarders to enjoy

Huge park with everything ya need. Its gotta super smoothe ride with a very rythematic flow. It definitely advertises its huge mind blowing concrete craters, but at the same time ventures out with a mix of style and ease, allowing everyone to get there shred on, from the beginners to the pros. If ya havent been, its a must!

This is a really wonderful skatepark that my son loves. Diverse age group and skill level. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The only issue I have is that since the renovation there is no shade (unless its at the end of the day and you can catch some some shade off the shrubs) I roast, and have gotten sun burn twice. I guess I need to invest in an umbrella.

Fast, Jumps, Flips and more is what youll see here. Im not a skater of any kind but this is a RAD place to check out.You can go inside and sit on the grassy hill or watch from outside the gates. There are skaters of every age and every level skating and doing tricks.Right outside the park is the best view of the downtown skyline. The best time to check out the park is at night because you get the best of both worlds. The skyline at night at the skaters doing mad tricks that you wish you learned growing up and are now too afraid to even dare try.Its a great place to get a kid interested in the sport or just to watch, its a free show but be careful not to get in their way.

Jo
Review №89

It says open to the public thats a lie. The park is hardly ever open its strictly skateboarding no bmx allowed that sucks. Most of the time you.would have to sneak on the property just to get a few runs in. Now they ha e overnight security and hardly ever open the gates. Much rather go to a different park. Atleast they let you ride

Review №93

This skatepark blows. You are required to wear a helmet, Im 23 years old, Ive been skating for 11 years, no helmet. I am skating as an adult at my own risk. I think its reasonable if youre under 18 to wear a helmet but, everyone??? Seriously dude?? I personally cannot street skate with that extra weight on my head, so I definitely will be either going there and breaking the rules and simply taking off the helmet, or I will not skate here at all. Totally sucks because its a sick park, but stupid as hell rules. Oh and not to mention you cant skate there even if its the slightest bit wet outside. STUPID RULE once again. Everybody who skates, skates at THEIR OWN RISK. Youre going to fall and bust your ass in the hot dry sun either way! The creators of this skatepark OBVIOUSLY never skated in their lives. Lol. 1 star, Ive been to way better parks, none of them had stupid rules like this.

Ja
Review №98

Nice bowls, but staff enforces rules in a confusing, illogical way. I came here and skated for two hours yesterday with my casterboard (a two-wheeled skateboard). An attendant saw me as I signed in. No problems at all. Then today, this new lady at the desk says no, you cant be here because that kind of board is not allowed. How about 10 minutes? I was here for two hours yesterday. Nope, even though the park was practically empty. The weirdest part was that another attendant then emerged and literally said the only reason I had gotten in the day before was that he had been napping on the job the previous day. What a strange combination of petty, pompous bureaucracy and slacker incompetence.
