Had my little sisters birthday party here, it was awesome I literally paid less than 200$ for everything, we had 4 pizzas 3 pitchers of drink, plates, and about 20 people’s entries. Loved the customer service, also the music was awesome. Really good place to have a party for younger kids.

I was extremely pleased with the staff and hospitality at the Skate Machine. I had a private party and everything was taken care of expeditiously. Also, it was extremely affordable. One staff member particularly, Samantha, was a great help to ensure the event ran smoothly. I would recommend this skating rink to anyone and would definitely go again. Thank you Skate Machine.

It is a nice place to have fun....but one thing. I totally dislike. Its that they close so early on Sundays

Went to a skate party and the music was terrible. Im a skater from my youth age from Detroit. And in Detroit. Skating is in our culture. So I know skating. This was not it. You change that DJ they had for that day. I dont know if he was hired for the day or hes the regular DJ. But if you change that DJ, you can have something good.

I have been going there a lot and i always have fun and meet up with my friends and skate with them!!and I learned hpw to skate. There for the first time!!!it will always be a home to me

Read good reviews, but not convinced by bad ones. Drove 45 min to check this spot out anyway. Sweet and attentive young ladies working the snack bar and door. Eating area and RR’s clean. Dope jams, dope skating area & my little brother enjoyed himself! Four stars because I can’t stand walking into a establishment and being “assisted” by someone with headphones on, felt like I was talking to the wall. Traded blades 3 times no big deal, Noah made it work! Will be back. Worth the drive

I love the skate machine I love the skate floor I like how they have is separated from the food area I liked it is not hot I like that they have plenty skates ...

The entire staff is a group of children who skate well, but lack the basic components of good customer service. Theres no bad smell, the music is decent, the food is what you would get at a high school concession stand.

We go here once a year.they need to clean the place.so much dust everywhere. Bathrooms smell like piss.sinks are disgusting and I wont have my child drinking from the water fountain. The skates need to be upgraded. Like it was hard for me to even keep balance than my feet were hurting because I couldnt center my feet and I know how to skate.even the arcade games they have half work.over proce food.than have a policy you leave out you have to pay to get back in.

Big enough space... it does need more security... kids do what they want! The music is not family appropriate! It seems like your in a night club.., it’s suppose to be family.., some of the music is nothing but Rap... should have more variety. But I agree with other reviews.. not like when I was younger.. no structure. Prices good but over all it could be much better!

Been coming here for years. Its nice to bring my kids to a place I grew up having fun in. The staff is super friendly. Theyre the reason why we make the drive there instead of the rink by our home. I believe they try to keep up with it. The DJ is great playing a good variety.

After reading these reviews, Im apprehensive about going to my Grand daughters Birthday party this coming Saturday. I will definitely bring my own skates and I will give her present, a kiss on the head, and leave if its as dirty as people are saying. I will also NOT tolerate disrespectful punks but will lay them out if need be! We shall see.......... I guess I HAVE to give it a star or I cant post! Lol.. After attending my Grand daughters party; Im am revising my review. Everybody was nice, employees and customers included. We had a great time. The restrooms were clean. The only thing they are lacking is seating for people who dont have tables reserved for a party. If we were to just go there to skate without having party reservations; there isnt anywhere for parents to sit while the kids skate or to sit when you need to take a break from skating. I never saw any fights. They have a security door for people to be buzzed in. I was comfortable in there even though that is one of the worst looking neighborhoods Ive ever been in!

This place is awesome. Great prices for everything. Staff was very friendly and helpful for my kids birthday party. Julie was funny and even held our cake in the fridge for us so it wouldnt melt. The guys at the akate rental area were cool too! Thanks yall! We will be back.

Nice for the daughter, we had her birthday there one year. She loved it, but it is so cold in there, I got sick a little. Unfortunately, its too cold for me to be there with my daughter. If they would just make it 10 degrees warmer, I could see re rating for more stars. Any place my 5 year old daughter loves to go gets 4 stars minimum. When it was Skatetown in the late 80s, it was never the Ice Age it is now. 4 stars is within reach, Skate Machine, if you just turn the temp up a little.

Its not like it was when I was a kid. It was really cool for kids and teens when it was Superskate. Im glad its here for the kids but it could use a face lift inside. Also I think they should hire more security to ensure the kids stay inside until it closes or until the parent gets there. Its not really the ranks responsibility to do that but it would be nice to know our kids cant run the street once we drop them off.

Don’t come here people ! Trust me the lady the giving the skates out didn’t say a word just gave me my skates . Lady at the front almost charges me double to enter . Forgot to give me my stamp to get my skate helper so now I’m having to explain to the rude lady that I paid already . Parents leave their kids here unattended so theirs kids running around everywhere. Trust me just SAVE y’all money and go else where .

I had my daughters birthday party there. I had an amazing time! All of my guest didnt want to leave. The party package for children was excellent. The staff was friendly. The music was fun....even though they didnt play alot of Beyonce. The prices were better than any of the other skating places and the time for your party table was longer than the other skating places. Definitely going back...and they give a free skate pass as a party favor to the kids #Winning

Fun its a minute since we skated

If good but is old I used to go there when my kids were in high school and now my grand kids go there and they have the same roller skates I dont believe all the money they make in one day and they dont replace those ugly roller skate not even the shoe laces and they need to clean the place at least and the restroom are poor it looks like Mexico restrooms no offence do something please do it for all the kids the go there.

First time here for a bday party. Reminded me of my childhood/teenage years. Staff was nice & friendly. Only recommendation, music age appropriate for kids.

Really enjoyed it, very clean and staff were respectful. Area blocked off for my 3yr old to skate which I loved. Food and drinks at a very reasonable price. Plenty tables to sit at.

This was a nice skating rink. I havent been skating in years and this is exactly as I remember it - except for all of the teenagers on cell phones. Dim lighting, flashing lights, loud music. The referees did not keep traffic flowing the correct direction and there were some people standing in the rink. Thats not safe -which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. More management and easily could be 5.

Probably one of the worst skating rinks Ive been to, underage kids working, dirty, and very bad service. Underage employees wont even bother to look at you if you want to order food or skates. Where are the adults?

I read the reviews before going here good and bad. I have to say that the bad reviews are true, kids skating the wrong way, no structure employees show up late kids eating candy and gum on the the skating floor there was gum and food on the skating floor the DJ didnt play a good mixture of music I dont see me going back the floor was terribly lumpy.

It was great. Staff are nicely prepared. And I love meeting people who cant skate. I usally just help beginners.

Basically a teenage daycare. Kids feeling up on each other and making out in corners, fights breaking out, kids inside the rink without skates on, some skating the opposite way. Police were called because 2 girls were fighting. I do not recommend this place to families.

Son has been going here since he was 3 yrs old, family owed and operated, owner keeps everyone safe!!

Stay far away from this place.1. Order some nachos the cheese and chips they were staled.2. They gave me skates with staples in them that were poking me.3. They don’t clean up nothing tables in the snack areas are dirty and disgusting.4. So much more if you want bring your children into a disgusting place be more go head

Kids enjoyed it, nice atmosphere once I was able to get in. The only complaint for me was parking, theres no convenient parking once the small parking around the building is full. Theres no actual parking lot for the structure.

Had a birthday party here and staff was extremely rude and unprofessional!!!! I would recommend you guys take customer service courses and be happy in this day and age you have a job to go to!! Make the best out of your situation and dont take it for granted and dont take it out on the customers!!!

If I could I would do -0 or at least no stars, this place is so so ghetto and a complete chaos. Its almost like a dang daycare where parents drop off there children to not deal with them. Theres kids on corners touching on each other inappropriate and fights going on. The securitys try there best to prevent these kids from fighting but not even that is enough to keep them to being nice to others there. Theres no absolute order here its actually ridiculous!Besides that issue, the place is dirty and filthy, there was no tissue paper on the restroom, the pizza is not great and the drinks taste like water with fizz.Dont even waste your time coming here I for sure wont be back nor my family.One good recommendation for the owner or manager is that there shouldnt be any kids or anyone under the age of 18 without a parent present for they can at least SUPERVISE THERE KIDS!!!!!

The worst skating experience Ive ever had. They repeatedly gave my family and i broken rollerblades, and not to mention the horrible customer service. They talk to you with attitudes and have a kid as a worker. Also, they use bad rap music only and barely have anywhere to sit. The only reason i give them one star is they have good snow-cones. I strongly recommend picking a different roller rink to enjoy with your family.

I would put 0 stars if I could. Worst place ever. My kids were so disappointed. Not only would they not give my youngest one of those devices to help a beginner learn to skate. Place for the young crowd to hangout. Management does a pretty good job of monitoring the kids late nights as the kids walk out the building.

Its like walking on crosstimbers (north side) in the middle of the night kids cursing louder than the music your hearing ,fighting between each other,pushing kids who arent as fast (really fassst) out the way instead of going around and yes a lot of them do it and no security inside . Skates old and broken but you can take your own . Overall its not a family environment unless you grew up in this kind of environment them this is normal to you. Mostly rap music. Remember the majority of these kids are from cloverleaf youre gonna get some ghetto & some nice kids. Staff are really young kids and yes many of the posts are accurate theyre too busy jammin to music they dont wanna be interrupted theyre rude. Tons of parents just drop off kids so yes tons of unsupervised kids who do what the hell they want. If youre going to supervise your kids like a hawk then just for skating youre good but if youre one of those parents that drops your kids off you may think twice I would not feel safe dropping off my kids youve been warned

First time here i was recommended by a friend who lives in the area. Prior to arriving i read the reviews so i was skeptical about the crowd being we are not pro skaters. However we had a great time. The dj mixed up the mucic playing ole school and current tunes. They have lockers to secure your belongings for 50 cent u keep a key. The crowd is family friendly lotta teens reminds me when i was a teen hanging at Fondren Super skate. The security was firm but nice. Practice makes perfect and i saw some perfect skaters of all ages. We will return to perfect.
