Match is an excellent event location!I have been here for multiple events and always enjoy the venue.Match also has a cafe for some food and the cafe serves beer and wine

FIELD TRIP! GREAT show and play! Hidden gem in midtown area! Great place for kids to watch a play

We went to watch Flat Stanley musical and We had so much fun! Perfect for the kids! Clean theatre and clean restrooms.

Took my Girl Scout Troop to see Mr. Popper’s Penguins. Excellent play, great singers, entertaining, and we had so much fun. My troop was able to go backstage and meet the wonderful actors.

They have great plays, friendly staff and my kids love it. Every once and a while they will have a free day which is very nice. My only complaint is that the snack bar is a little to pricey in my opinion.

Saw a high school play here. The play was beautifully staged in a spacious area. Convenient parking next door. Easy to get to on the edge of downtown.

MATCH just screams artistic genius!!! A gorgeous venue with knowledgeable professional staff. As an artist I’ve performed and attended multiple events the different facets of the facility is designed to accommodate any crowd. The quality on the projector is always A1!

Ive visited twice on school field trips and this is such a great venue. The actors are so talented and do great shows for the kids!

My son Kartez performed in HAMLET. Everyone was excellent I really enjoyed their performance. My visit in Houston was nice.

My first play. It was so much fun and I really enjoyed it. I loved the way the actors came out and answered questions for the kids after the show.

It was great. My 6 year old grand daughter got frightened a couple of times, but she thoroughly enjoyed on her level. My 11 year old grandson enjoyed the whole play.

We had an event here. Everyone we interacted with from Match was super friendly and helpful! The space is great. Amazing architecture, great location. The space was perfect for our event!

I was invite to the music performance here. The parking lot is on the other side but there is nothing to let us know where I should park my car. However, the staffs and securities here are very nice. It is just a small place with seperated zones but the desgin is great.

It was clean. The master class was great. I parked my truck diagonal from Match-midtown... the parking was $4 for 4 hours...

I was part of a school field trip, being a chaperone was an experience. Not only do children get to experience something new, you as well. Especially, if you never been anywhere in Houston. Houston, Texas has a lot to offer its Houstonians. Whether its from concerts, food venues, art museums and sports arenas. Please enjoy constantly!

Great place for local shows. There are four theatres that rotate performances. The theatres are mid size probably 200 seats each with a nice stage. Was there to see a high school group that did great. Tickets are $20 so come prepared. There is also a cafe. Parking g is nearby in several parking garages.

This is a really really nice theatre I went to a comedy show for comedian Grossman big event it’s very well built just everything is really nice kinda in the middle of downtown backstage is really nice too I really enjoy myself lots of laugh lil Troy and comedian Grossman came together for this event lots of people came

Always a very classy experience going to the MATCH. Great shows and pretty decent concession options. Also conveniently located in the midtown area between several bars and restaurants, makes parking a little tricky on the weekends.

Wonderful venue. Fine location, right on the red line metro, bars and restaurants nearby and the performance spaces are excellent. Outside each space is an electronic billboard showing what is happening when. Shaded areas with tables and chairs for get together, vendor there provides beverages and snacks. Nothing is forgotten.

A very good place. It would get 5 stars but ... This place looks new. In my opinion the layout is good. A parking garage across the street makes parking easy (except when it rains). People were friendly and helpful. Since this is not a very large facility traffic leaving was not that bad.However, a long line at concession window wasnt good. A good selection of items at the concession. Also, the lobby is covered but outside. There is a limited amount of indoor space behind the theatre but it is questionable if is large enough to comfortably handle a full theatre. When I went the weather was great. Although temporary space heaters were in place, intermission might not be too comfortable if it is really cold or hot.We had thought about eating dinner nearby and walking to the theatre. My recommendation is dont plan on it.MATCH is now on my go to places.

Home to the catastrophic theater...a great way to spend an evening of live entertainment. Very close to many restaurants and bars as well as being located right at the HCC/Ensamble metro rail stop.

This place is very nice and well kept. The only downfall is the concession stand is outside of the theater so if you need to get anything, you have to miss part of the show.

The talent there was very good and the place holds just enough to make it comfortable to watch a concert.Did not try the food.but from what I saw it looked good.A very peaceful place to watch a show.

Great venue for performing arts, meetings and conferences. Lobby is an open air atrium with large ceiling fans.

Its a great music venue. We go quite often. We like the area which has several good restaurants. So it is nice to have dinner and even walk to the performance.

Great venue to have different events at the same time. Good acoustics, parking is close, decent number of clean bathroom stalls. Small concession stand on the premises.

A quaint theater located downtown with an old-school charm. I attended Two Mile Hollow. The play was wonderful as well as the actors. I would definitely recommend this as an evening out. I will also be returning.

Loved the atmosphere and choreographed dancing, reminiscent of interpretative dance.

It was great. The staff are one of a kind, very helpful and knowledgeable.

They open the doors half an hour before the start of the show, so if you need to sit, there are few options. Thankfully, a chair was found for me. Their auditorium is very nice, and all seats are good. Sound level and lighting were very good. Parking is in the garage across the street for a fee, or free on the street.

This last Sunday I happened by the Match theater in Midtown. I was told that its only been there about a year or so. It is the first competition so very close to The Ensemble Theater in Midtown. On this Sunday they were offering a childrens play and so I did not go in. They have a website which I will be checking out soon. There is a small business which offers snacks and refreshments - wine, soft drinks, hot dogs, chips, for a very reasonable price. The open area was very nice with security and tables. Very sociable and family-friendly. I said every table and crocheted while and people came over and talked. Very nice.Overall I think its a very good addition to this part of town and I will go back soon.

Only stopped in briefly but everyone who work there was incredibly friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed even the outdoor seating which was air-conditioned using outdoor fans I really enjoyed the building it was laid out very well and I would recommend it to anyone

Saw the screening of Is That You at the Latino Film Festival. Was a fantastic movie, but there were technical difficulties so we waited an extra thirty minutes before they let us know why and before we could go in. Also, the volume was at a painfully high level at the beginning of the movie, but it seemed the corrected that eventually. Overall, great experience. Next time just let the crowds know sooner whats happening. And maybe a soundcheck before starting.

Had a great time at Varla Jean Mermans show. Love the set up of theatre. Park across the street and then walk over to venue.

MATCH was the perfect venue for the Lil Mayne HOUSTON premier. Great screen. Great seating. Great staging areas out front for the Red Carpet area. Couldnt have been better.

Great! Love! We see a play here annually. Always a great production. The cast kindly signs autographs at the end and takes pictures. The concession stand could offer a few more options, but you can also bring your own snacks during intermission. Parking across the street is convenient.

Great, modern theater in Midtown. Multiple stages, always showing great shows. Oh, and you can buy drinks at the bar outside and bring them into the show. Clutch.

A very cultivating education of the Latin Arts and salsa

Just watched the Play named A Few Good Men in which was a very positive powerful play by DNP Productions...The Cast was Awesome...especially Jeffrey Harris Sr aka Terrance Robinson...Sound was Great..And wasnt a bad seat in the House...Really Enjoyed IT.

Went here for the free family fun day. Amazing. Kid loved the performances and watched them spell bound. Cannot ask for more.

It Was an Amazing Experience, We went to see the Fade 2 Black Fest, worth the money, parking was reasonable and they had decent snacks!!

Ballet show was fantastic. Love how close you are to the performance. Tickets were only 15$ which is a great value. Sit anywhere and everyone is a good seat.Great location right on main Street next to restaurants and bars. Will be back!

No free parking unless you can find free street parking on the weekends. We had to park next door at the garage which cost us about $10. Nice clean bathrooms with plenty of stalls. Wish there was a bit more space for early comers to wait outside doors . Theater is nice and cozy. Concession stand would be nice.

A good little theater troop. Took 2 bus loads of students tova play. Biggest problem was absolutely no parking anywhere close by. Ended up paring almost a mile away and walking back, then swerving around traffic to get back and pick up.The parking problem was the only thing holding back a higher score.

The location was nice. Nice seats nice setting.

Took my kids to their very first play here, and the cast did an awesome job. The staff are very nice and helpful, and the cast even did a meet and greet for the children after the show. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because the snack bar is drastically overpriced so be prepared. However, Id still take my kids again to see any of their productions geared towards children.

A great performance venue in midtown with multiple theaters of various sizes. Not a lot of legroom, but otherwise comfortable seating and good acoustics. Convenient parking garage across the street. Will start checking performance schedules so I may start attending more events at this multi-purpose venue.

Plays are good and entertaining, the place is small so wherever you seat you will get a good perspective regardless, it is clean and well organized

Parking and traffic can be a hassle depending on time and day. Give yourself more time of the weekends for sure.There is a parking garage across the street but it will cost you extra. There is no FREE on site parking. Uber might be your best option!It’s a very big and modern facility. Majority of building is open air so be ready to wait outside in the elements for your performance.The inside of the Theatre is new and clean. Good seating. There are only one set of bathrooms for four different theater spaces. Also the bathrooms are outside.

Uhhhh wow... I had no idea that MATCH even existed until my company sponsored an event that took place there. Its gorgeous. It makes incredible use of its compact space, feeling expansive and campus/mall-like in the interior.The black box theatre I was in (4) was an awesome, intimate space, and the acoustics were terrific (the show was spoken word, so not the most challenging test, but they still passed with flying colors). The performers came outside the theater to the mall and met the audience after the performance, and the space was perfect for that, too.I am now looking for excuses to go see shows there, just because the venue is terrific. Definitely check it out if you come up with a reason to!

Match is a very nice multi theater complex for multiple size small performances. From a small intimate room for about 30 people all the way up to a 350 person capacity theater. The facility is well equipped with modern sounds systems, projectors, and lightning. Ample space for dressing rooms, prop storage and wardrobe storage. The staff are very nice and do a great job of hosting events.

Really like this place! Have been for Catastrophic theatrical performances and have enjoyed the venues.

This is a terrible establishment. My friend and I arrived a little late to sit with our children, and the staff was extremely rude and not accommodating. This was a children’s show and people were coming in and out of the theater. One of the staff said she was not penalizing someone for going to the restroom and going back in to distract others. Take your family somewhere else to enjoy a show. I will never spend money here.

Great ambiance and service!

Always a great experience at the MATCH! Parking is a challenge though especially if you have to be here everyday, but will endure the inconvenience to be able to work at this venue with other nonprofit art groups. Great collaborating and being surrounded by creative people makes me feel at home.

Intimate setting, all seats allow good viewing. Consessions are available outside:wine, sports, pizza,coffee, fried food baskets. Garage parking scrossxthe street is reasonable ($7-$8)

This place is clean, has a convenient parking garage (for a fee), clean restrooms, a cafe and the food/drink is allowed in theater and amazing talent to enjoy!

This is a newer theater complex hosting several shows at the same time. If you want to see local artists this is one of the better places to go. They do have a concession stand that servers finger foods and beer and wine.
