Theres only a handfull of bars clubs or restaurants that can say that they are coolest places Downton. Henke & Pillot is one of them.

Loved the environment, the music was on point as well.

Good music, wonderful staff, only issue is got over charge for one of my beers. One bartender charge me one price $11 then another charge me $6.50...I know who to get my drinks from...

There is absolutely no seating that is not reserved, and even a seat at the high table table is $50!! (Not today!! Smh.) I came for 90-00s music with Biggie and some others and I didnt hear half the stuff promised. The one lonely star is because the bartender was nice and the crown apple with cranberry was great. Its a very small place that filled up quick. If you decide not to reserve a table you better bring comfortable shoes. I dont have any desire to come back any time soon.

Blah. Ive been a couple times now. Its warm like the AC wasnt working well. Bartenders not great, drinks on the expensive side. Beautiful space and decent smooth floor for dancing.

I went to a regular event they have there, I found the place to be unwelcoming & unfriendly. There is no house soundsystem upstairs so it is just the DJs. The sound REALLY sucked because of that. They sell it and advertise it as a Dance Club event, it is very far from being that. This could be a big event, but with the lack of good sound equipment, unfriendly people and staff, it wont grow from what it is. I stayed from the beginning to the last half hour before I left to give the place a fair chance. Had the experience been better, I would have been a regular.

Good vibe. Street parking is sparse in the area so be prepared to pay $20 to valet if you dont want to keep circling the block. Valet takes CC so thats a plus.

Had a really great time here. My bank turned off my card cause apparently they thought there was no way I could be at another bar, drinking more alcohol. Boy were they wrong. I ended the night here and it was a great place to close it up. However, I’d like to speak with the bouncer about turning away everyone over 6ft tall. I seriously felt like I was at an NBA after party. Talking to elbows all night.

The staff at this place was so rude, especially the bartender named Wendy. We felt unwelcome and mistreated. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. The only person that had proper customer service was Katy. She was really nice and told us to come back on Saturday when Wendy wasnt there.Even upper management made our group feel at fault when it was them that did not honor their promotions. He asked what would make this place better because they want to attract more people. We said better customer service. However, he ignored our comments and said to just let it go.If you want this place to have more people, then please train your staff.Save your money and go spend it in the bars down the street instead!I dont normally feel compelled to write a bad review, but the customer service at this place was horrific! No wonder there were only a hand full of people there. When something is amazing, Im happy to say good job. This was just not the case.

Nice place but drinks were crazy expensive

We went on a Friday night my good friend was celebrating her Birthday. The bar service there was horrible, guy was rude behind the bar, and the drinks were no good. I question if the shot of Tanqueray gin I ordered, was really Tanqueray, had a bad headache next morning. You can clearly tell that all they want you to do is buy there drinks. Never again.

Enjoyable place, but needs more sitting arrangements

Went because we ran across their ad on social media for industry and steak night. They wouldn’t honor the prices listed online, bartender even asked the “owners” but no dice. The steak wasn’t bad but nothing to rave about. 18 % gratuity is added to all checks, honestly I would have spent more if they hadn’t of jacked their prices up. The bartender looked bored but at least he wasn’t rude.

Went this past saturday for Latin night. A lot of Reggaeton. Mostly all night. But after requested, Salsa was played. No Bachata neither cumbia. Hip-Hop was also played into the mix. Overall it was a fun night. Hookah is available drink were good. Nice atmosphere however it gets ridiculously packed. We left once it was impossible to walk towards the restrooms.

I went on Latin night. Great music. And basic bar drinks (meaning not good). I have been there during the evening for a regular drink, and the drinks were phenomenal. They did charge cover the night I went. $10

I loved this place! This is my second time coming here and it’s always a great time with my friends. The drinks are well made and the party doesn’t stop! The GoGo dancers were really cool and I like how the place is lit up in the dark with glow sticks and rave lights. I’d come here again for sure!

Went here on a Friday night from about 1230 to 2am. Wasnt too crowded. Great music even though the DJ didnt play the song I requested. They also have hookah and bottle service. They have cozy lounge areas and seating outside.

Went for Latin night and had a blast! No cover and good music. Would return!

Great atmosphere and awesome music. They also offer hookah but tables are very limited so if your served the hookah at the bar expect people to be trying to get around you to order. Had to give them 4 stars because it was hot as hell in there.

We partied upstairs this Saturday night, was definitely upscale, lots of sexy couples, what I dont understand is how can a place that charges 14.50 per mixed drink use that cheap taka vodka? They were using the cheapest liquors and charging that much???? Also noticed one bartender would charge me 28 for two drinks, the other charged 29, the other charged 30, they need to get on the same page. Every time I went back it was a different price... Other than that, we had a good time, we went downstairs at 1:45am, it was so packed we couldnt even move... Then the police showed up and parked right in the front, as we were getting our cars from the valet they were arresting people...

Went for a Latin night as it was the last night of a work trip and nothing special planned. The DJ was decent, although he switched to reggaeton after a while meaning not much dancing for a salsa/bachata night. Beers were okay priced and the crowd was friendly enough. Might drop by again the next time Im in town.

Fun bar/club. More upscale and clubby than almost everywhere downtown. Louder music, lots of rap and edm. Security and bartenders have always been really good. Theyve hosted some fun st Patty day and Halloween parties. Glad to have a spot like this downtown.

Drink Specials Great Environment

They have a horrible dress code enforcement. Even on pride weekend. No jeans and you have to dress like your going to a funeral. Stupid club.

Such a lovely atmosphere

We went for happy hour and got some good food and drinks. We tried the Truffle Mushroom Pizza, Artisan Meat Plate, and Chips. All were very good, especially given the happy hour deal of $5 each (except chips which were $3). My favorite was definitely the Truffle Mushroom Pizza though. It didnt have a sauce, but tasted like it substituted it with truffle oil, topped with delicious fresh, mushrooms, mozzarella, and arugula. I also tried the Old Fashioned, which was very good, and the Korbel Rita, which was decent- just didnt have a whole lot of flavor. Again, great for the price though.My only complaints were with the environment and the current happy hour menu. Even though it was dinner time, it still felt like they were in permanent nightclub mode. They had a few two or three person tall tables, and couches, so it was a little awkward. And their current happy hour menu is different than the menu advertised online, which is what drew us to the place. It offered different food and drink selections and also different prices (slightly higher)- it seems like a pretty basic concept to update the menu on your website.Overall, the place was good and had pretty good happy hour deals, but not sure theyre worth coming back for.

The staff are nice. They brought out our bottle quickly and came to refill the ice and juice when needed. the music was alright. There are two floors; I didnt go upstairs so I cant review it but downstairs is stylish and nice looking .

I went to Henke and Pilot for the first time last night for a friends birthday party and will not be returning or recommending this establishment to any friends or family.This is a very racist and unwelcoming environment to those of the caucasian decent (and possibly others too). It was latin night and those of hispanic decent were waived from the entrance fees (I watched a group of 3 men and 2 women walk in for free), whereas, myself and my friend (who are both caucasian) were told there would be a fee for both, even though we had a booked table with bottles inside. Neither of us had cash, so another friend of mine who was already inside, came out to explain the situation to the front door staff. They did not care that we already had a reservation and did want to listen to my friend. Luckily my friend had a card and graciously paid for my entrance fee. Upon walking in, I overheard the front door staff say Pinche Gringas Pendejas. I was very hurt by this because we did not do anything wrong, other than say that we may have to leave because we were not prepared for an entrance fee. Not to mention, just because someone is a different race/decent/etc., this does not mean that they cannot speak or comprehend your language.Once inside, we could tell that our kind was not welcome in this establishment. We both had one drink and just let our friends know that unfortunately we feel it is best for us to leave, but to please continue their party.Houston - being such a diverse metropolitan city - should be home to establishments that welcome all races. Henke and Pilot does not belong here.

Music was fine and there was no line to get in. The crowd looked well dressed. That being said, the bartenders were very inefficient. It was difficult to get a drink and it really wasnt that crowded. Good interior. Place has potential.

Very unprofessional. Guy checking IDs was very nice but once we got in where they checked our names on the list. The bouncer guy next to the lady ruined our night just by being unprofessional, sketchy and rude. He was taking in cash but charging everyone different prices, even people behind and in front of us I noted that the entrance fee (which they promised us we wouldnt have to pay) was different for everyone. I had a couple more friends show up and they way they treated/talked to them, we walked out instantly. No thanks , get yourself a different bouncer who doesnt only accept cash and charge everyone different prices. Seriously reminded me of how that one bar GasLamp use to run things until they were put out of business because of that law suit.
