This place is awesome. Space history at its finest. The Saturn 5 rocket is the stuff of legend. Whats so interesting is that when you visit, you hear different people talking languages from all over the world. Thats how much NASA meant to the world and for them to see the Apollo rockets up close is just awe inspiring. I do plan on returning.

Good place to take kids. there is a games arena for virtual space equipment related games. However do not expect to have a very detailed tour of NASA. they have two bus tours first try to complete the tours because they end at 5pm. then enjoy the games in the arena.

When I was 9, my dad bought me a Saturn 5 rocket model. It was taller than I was. Now seeing it in real life, brought back those wonderful memories that made me want to be an astronaut. Well as my life winds down to its inevitable end, I still look up at the stars and realize that with my debilitating acrophobia and claustrophobia... I never would’ve made it past the first screening... lol!!

Rocket park was an amazing experience, and I had the pleasure to be able to listen to Norman Chaffee, one of the engineers of the SaturnV rocket, explain to us the many different parts. In the actual building there is in depth information about the rocket, and it is kept at a comfortable temperature. This would be a great place to take your kids to spark an interesting of space and science. If you get tired there are also many benches lining the walls.

This is the second stop on the tram tour after visiting the historic mission control or astronaut training facility. It is so cool to see the Saturn V rocket and the information on the Apollo missions. At the back of the building, there is a small cattle ranch across the road, where you can see a couple of Texas longhorns. The contrast between cattle and space shuttle is interesting and very Texan.

Amazing place!!! Even if you do not know much about NASA and their missions to space, come to see the immense size of this rocket. It truly is a grand example of what man has invented on this Earth. Tours are provided if you are interested in taking one. I can not wait to return to this place again one day.

If you find yourself in Houston and youre a space fan, do yourself the biggest favor and find your way here, you wont regret it! To this day, its one of my favorite places Ive ever visited!

Rocket park is amazing and a must go to if you are in Houston. It has 3 awesome rockets. First at over 300 feet is an actual Saturn V moon rocket that never flew. Also you can see the Redstone rocket with mercury capsule. This is the rocket and spacecraft that launched the first American into space. The also have numerous rocket engines and lots and lots of information to learn about! Please stop by and get a tasted of Human Space Flight history!

Great fun! I suggest purchasing the Houston City Pass. We purchased the lunch with an astronaut which is an extra fee added to your admission but well worth it. If you purchase the city pass and decide to do the lunch be sure and visit the Space Center of Houston first (not because its the best out of all of the items on the pass. It just works out better from a budget perspective). A lot of things to do see and enjoy! #houstoncitypass

If you are in the Houston area, this is a MUST SEE attraction. Plan on spending a full day at least seeing this! Words alone can not describe how truly awesome this place is, and I cant recommend it highly enough. Id give it 10 stars if I could.

IS THERE NO OTHER WAY?Excellent to see the Saturn V but not enough time. Only way to see it is via the tram tour and we were only given 15 minutes to see the Saturn V, rocket garden and try and read all the info on the inside wall. My wife said it takes longer to read the info than the allocated time given to view everything!!! Is there no other way to do this??? Ive travelled halfway around the world (New Zealand) to show the Saturn V to my son and got 15 minutes. We took a flight to KSC too see that one as it is part of the general tour and unlimited time to view. This needs to be resolved.

The Rocket Park car park is not accessible to regular visitors anymore. The guard very kindly explained to us that too many people were hopping on the tram tour from there and basically abusing the system. If you can justify an official business on the NASA campus, such as visiting a NASA employee, go for it.In all other cases...No more visiting the rockets at your own pace and for free, you have to use the official (expensive) tram tour that starts at Space Center Houston nearby.

There is a newer part that is handicapped accessible and has swings and is easy for younger children. But the amazing part is the old school equipment. A Saturn, a submarine, a radio tower, and old school death trap rockets ( welded shut). It is a retro photographer or film dream. It also sport a pair of space shuttle springs prefect for photos for Houston tourists or space birthday photos! It is conveniently across from library and baseball fields. There is picnic table and side parking.
