We were seated at a good table with a great view of the awesome Dean James band. Our food was very good. Our drinks were the $5 specials, which we enjoyed. The only down side was that the credit card machine did not work, so we had to hustle up the cash.

Sunday Brunch-We went for my friends 40th. We started with pineapple mimosas(I cant drink) the group loved them and got a pitcher afterwards. The co-owner Ms. Skye was awesome, great energy. Our waitress Brittany was sweet and quick on her feet. Our food was popping hot and seasoned well. Dean James played that saxaphone yall!!! They would have gotten 5-stars but there were some things that were needed. They need more waitstaff. The waitstaff got slammed but they were working hard. The owners even pitched in. The bathroom(ladies) need some updating but was clean. The air conditioning system needs updating but other than that we had a great time and most definitely will be back again. I do recommend this place.

The music was great, the atmosphere could use a little work, the food was good, the martinis were subpar, and the service was... interesting.I attended Sunday brunch and the music was amazing. Upon arriving, I ordered the Blu breakfast bowl and a martini flight. The martini flight was just 3 regular sized martinis, which I wasnt mad about. I ordered the Purple Rain, Watermelon tini, and Raspberry lemon drop, they were all very sweet, but the Purple Rain was the best.My server came by 45 minutes after I ordered and asked What I ordered, I repeated it to her and recieved my food 35 minutes later. I ordered my Blu breakfast bowl with hollandaise sauce as it says on the menu. I specifically said no salsa, as I cannot eat it. I asked the server if I could have some hollandaise, she proceeded to ask me if it was on the menu. I said yes... twice. Then she told me that she didnt know Why they gave me salsa instead, because she was just the server. She then said they probably just ran out... which seems unlikely seeing as they had Eggs Benedict on the menu and hollandaise sauce is made of egg yolk, butter, and lemon...The stray wires on the floor is dangerous and its unfortunate that the only bathroom is up a flight of stairs...

Very good Sunday brunch while I sipped a martini and enjoyed the jazz music. A lot of nice art work. Ill be there the next time I go back.

The performance was nice! I would most certainly return for the music. However I didnt like that, even if you buy a ticket, and it says you are guaranteed a seat, thats not the case. The seats are first come first serve, even if you have the ticket. The food was delicious and the drinks were really good. Its pretty spacious with an up and downstairs.

Have tried to call multiple times for 2 days straight to just simply make a reservation for a large party. Calls go immediately to voicemail. Left message with no return call. Lets me know how customer oriented this place is.

The band playing last night was excellent, the food was perfectly cooked. The server kept our drinks topped up and the owner was amazingly friendly.Was the music loud? Absolutely, but thats not a negative when the band is so good.We will definitely be going back.

Saw a great saxophonist named Dean James here. He was incredible and the club was decent although it smelled like a fried chicken joint, and the drinks were watered down. More of an older crowd and a sit down type of atmosphere.

I attended a poetic jam at Martini Blu called Kings Night. The set up was nice. There are a variety of delicious items to select from the menu. It was very cozy. The event was hosted by Mr. Reverse It and Dj Remarkable jammed all night. Eleven men performed. There was also a book signing for Midas Touchs book Intimacy Uncensored. We had a great time. The atmosphere was lovely. This is definitely a spot for grown folks.

My wife and I found this place due to Groupon and I was blown away. I truly enjoy the lounge atmosphere. Server was fantastic, knowledgeable, and always available. My wife picked this as our second anniversary location and I am so glad she did. Guys if you want a nice place to take your lady this is the place. It was nice to see my wife dressed to the nines and have a chance to dance with her. We saw Kim Waters on the sax and he was awesome. Thank you Kim lol. Also the house band was fantastic. I am sorry I dont remember the bass players name but he rocked his solo. Doors open an hour before show, get there early for your choice of table.

My boyfriend and I visited from another state and didnt know they only accepted cash at the door. We left to get cash and came back. The owner Mrs. Sky apologized for the inconvenience and wished we told her that we werent from Texas. She gave us VIP seating and took money off our bill. The music was great, food was amazing, and more importantly the customer service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place and be back to visit.

I absolutely loved it!!! Im from New Orleans and I had been looking for some place with REAL New Orleans jazz and good vibes and after waaay to many disappointments, i found my spot!! The staff (Tiffany at the door, Brittany my server, and Leonard one of the owners) were wonderful. Ill definitely be back!!

I would not recommend this terribly ran small business. Owner (Leonard) has tried to host festivals under his restaurant name that were not successful. He still owes multiple vendors from that event (including myself). The last I talked with Leonard, this jazz cafe was being sold so as of now it was stated that its closed temporarily. I wouldnt be surprised if it ends up remaining closed permanently given the poor ethics displayed by the ownership. If that part of the organization is being ran that way, the restaurant is likely under the same poor management.

So tonight (Thursday) for my birthday, I drove ALL the way to Martini Blu a place I have been going all summer almost weekly, thinking I would hear some poetry on the patio, just to find out they were closed, I had no clue and I drove an hour to get there. Please update your google. Because when I googled it it said it was open. Then I went to their FB to see another location but I didn’t know which one was open because I had been going to the one on fountain view. So are they even open anymore????????

This establishment was recommended to us by a friend and we were not disappointed.Martini Blu’s owners are on hard to see to your every need. The food was excellent as was the overall service.As far as the Jazz, we were blessed with hours of smooth, Latin and other flavors. I would highly recommend Martini Blu to anyone looking for a fine night out.

Ordered the catfish nuggets & a couple of the thicker pieces were not cooked all the way. But the drinks were pretty decent. Overall price for value seemed very much overpriced. The showcased talent was pretty good & the jazz band was GREAT! Wait staff was great as well. A lovely setting for an older more mature crowd on Thursday. Oh and we had to pay to park in the parking lot.

The Moody Gardenthe indoor option provided (Free Parking, Clean Bathrooms,& Multiple Vendors) The Sound System did finally getstraighten out but Julian Vaugh set it was not correct onthe wing VIP seating area. They did get it right immediately after that. Houston Texas - Support Martini BluUpscale American entrees & specialty martinis round out the menu at this low-lit jazz club.

Stopped by for a drink when I was in town. Got there at 6 PM when they opened. I was stopped at the door asked if I was there for the 7 PM party said no just wanted one drink. Was told by the owner if I had a quick drink I could go to the bar and that bar seats and the table were the same price. This event was opened to the public. I was only having one drink because I was am from out of town and did not want to get lost at night not knowing where I am going. I told her it takes me about a. hour to drink a glass of wine( I had 50 minutes at this time). The owners response was told me maybe I should come back another time. Money was not a problem, I just cant drink that fast WHAT A WAY TO TREAT OUT OF TOWN GUEST.

The live jazz set was exceptional. The lead singer was a true entertainer. He really worked the audience and got us involved in his performance. Very fun. The crowd was diverse and mature. Everyone dressed up and looked really nice. One complaint is the cost for VIP dinner for 2 was $133 (on Valentines Day) but did not come with a drink. So, we didnt know drinks were extra. We ended up ordering 3 drinks from the menu with a tip was an extra $47. And parking was $10. But overall a classy nightspot for the grown & sexy.

Martini Blu is the best brunch we ever had. Our waiter DEZ was outstanding! The entire staff was very welcoming. The shrimp and grits are a must have! We will be back!

The food and drinks were extremely good. I loved the customer service. Our waiter kept cleaning our table and making sure we were ok. The atmosphere is really awesome and the live band was the icing on the cake. You do have to pay for parking but its only $10.

The menu here is not super original, but they execute it well. Loved the live music and chill atmosphere. Its a little tight in here space wise, but I felt well attended to and I will be back.

I am still waiting on my refund for a reservation I made for my party. The weekend of my party, they closed with no notification! This was so unprofessional and disappointing! I contacted Leonard and told him about it, and he said he would call me right back...that was 3 months ago and still no call! You will never get ahead when you treat people wrong!

Went to pick up wristbands for the Jazz festival. The process was easy, and everyone was kind and accommodating.

I had an amazing time. They had Alvin King playing and his band. OMG. The talent on the stage was ...they killed it. The music is the reason to go here. The second reason to go here is the drinks. The bartenders are on their game. I can not say a lot about the food. We paid for VIP seats with dinner... Dinner fell short. The rice tastes like Uncle Bens rice and the desert cake was hard. The food prices are outrageous for the quality they serve ...with that said the waiters were very good. I had an amazing time because of the band and the staff.We spent $112 for VIP ticket and we had drinks and cake. Total spent was $132 for 2 people.

The food has taken a horribly, cheap tumble and the 1st drinks we ordered probably had a teaspoon of alcohol in them if that. I couldnt eat my food even though it was paid for in the price of my ticket!! I wont buy another ticket that includes food. Save your food money for later and eat somewhere else after you leave. Also have a few shots before you get there!!

It was super fun and a great experience. BUT I will say it wasnt a smooth experience for us. We arrived and had purchased the VIP seats, but when they went to seat us the normal VIP seats were taken so they tried to sit us at a table that was half-covered by a wall. We asked to sit at a different table in the general seating area which was fine and they gave us a $20 credit toward our bill (bc the VIP seats were $20 more than general seating). We ordered some drinks and an appetizer to start but it took about 20 min for our app to come, then they gave us the wrong food which it took another 10 min for us to get a hold of our server to tell him the order was wrong and another 20 min to bring the right order (which was just french fries with chz on top). Anyway, would we go back? Sure, for the music yes! For everything else? Prob not.

This was an experience....I enjoyed dancing with everyone else! The band was good however, the singers need more practice they were horrible. One chic did not know the words to an Anita Baker song nor did she know her band mates! The wait staff were a little tight initially! But they loosened up after a while! The food is not a good idea...it is over priced and not good at all! The owner was very nice!

Purchased VIP tickets to the ‘Dave Sanborn’ event on Saturday, June 22, 2019 the 10 pm show. The music was fabulous but the food was pitiful. They should be ashamed to serve that old, stale, pre-cooked, re-heated slop to any paying customer. We’ve read reviews about how good the food is. I guess you have to know someone to get fresh decently prepared food. After this rip-off experience we’ll probably never return. If not for the performance, and if I could, I would leave zero stars.

I enjoyed my evening at this spot. I veered off from my usual margarita and had a martini (or two). They were not as strong as Id hoped but they did the job. I ordered a side of asparagus and was pleased to see that they were big and juicy, albeit lacking salt. Their snapper also wasnt bad, but again needed some salt.The only thing that I did not necessarily appreciate was the valet parking situation. They charged $15 for self-parking and $10 for valet.The music was fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed the band with and without the saxophonist. When the bassist started playing a solo piece, my goodness, I wasnt readyIll give this spot a 3.5 which can easily be a 4 or 5 with either remedying the saltless food or the parking situation.

My husband and I visited on 5/19 and listened to Marcus Johnson who was great! Nice place and environment. Service was a little slow but waiter and other staff were very nice. Drinks and crab cakes were good but maybe a little steep in price. Note: Self parking was $15 in front lot, but there was option to valet offsite for $10. Overall we enjoyed the night and will definitely go back. Nice to have a nice local jazz spot to visit.

First time going and it was to the Prince tribute..First off Im grateful to the previous reviews that prepared me for the parking situation. I chose to pay 15 to self park since I was alone. Ordered a chocolate martini that was dark brown from all the chocolate..seating was fine.. the venue overall was average..not bad. As for the entertainment I will say the singer had a great voice (falsetto nice!); However, I was Extremely disappointed to see from the beginning that he did not know the words to pretty much None of the songs!! He read from a Tablet on a Stand 60% of the time and improvised/danced the other 40%! Totally unprofessional and disheartening being that its supposed to be a tribute! It was more of an insult to the artist..and Prince fams, as myself. The band, on the other hand, was awesome!! Even stayed on beat during the singers mess ups! Owner was 2 seats down, but never spoke, but thats no big deal. Hopefully hell read this review...

Loved it! 1st time visit fory bday and had a great time.

Went to celebrate girlfriend birthday party. $10 to park and $15 cover charge. We were told the meals come with bread but when we asked about it, we were told they were out of bread. 2 of us ordered the Blu Fettuccine. Both were bland. The dish was not consistent...1 was prepared with spinach and the other with broccoli. Both had raw onion and bell pepper added. We ordered the crab cakes entee which was salty. The silverware was very water stained and did not appear clean. Only one person ate their meal. The band was average at best and the birthday girl fell asleep at the table but woke up to lively music during intermission.

I followed all the rules to get refund of balance of $$ not used. 5 months later nothing but Excuses on the delay. Web-server, Company issues. need to sign up with Zelle to expedite refund.. Still Nothing. Enough Already.. No way to treat customers. Ive tried to be patient but Im DONE.... 3.1.2019..Update.. posting my concern live.. I was generally underwhelmed. went for a poetry n jazz night which was nice. the volume was a bit loud for the patio and they crammed wayy too many tables on the patio!! the staff couldnt even get around properly. i tried the catfish nugget basket and the catfish was not good at all. the tartar sauce was also not good. bt the fries were great! i saw other dishes and they looked delicious though. my friends tried the drinks and said they were pretty good. overall, i prob would not be back.

My husband & I had went to the Martini Blu last night for our anniversary. It was so nice! What a beautiful atmosphere, great music & entertainment, & great food. We went to hear saxophonist Kim Waters & he really brought the crowd to their feet (literally). People were dancing, talking, meeting new people, & enjoying the food. We really enjoyed ourselves & we will be back!

The brunch was not good. They did not keep the brunch menu fresh. No omelet. Bread where you make your own toast. The pancakes were microwave pancakes. For 25 yes the had the nerve to add a tip. Customer service was not good and ran out of mimosa. laughing because I see why it is difficult to support some establishment

Great place! Great experience! Was there for 1st time with family, attending a birthday celebration. The music/band jammed; collaboratively a great fusion of talented musicians to groove with! We ordered a variety of niblers: calamari (to die for), crab cakes, and wings - everything we tried was on point. The wait staff, bartender, and especially the owner (Mr Leonard) were welcoming, friendly, and very attentive to our needs. I had a great evening. Thanks everyone! You were awesome!

My husband and I went this past weekend for the 7PM Bob Baldwin show. We are greeted immediately by the owner and the waiter. The show started promptly at 7:00. The food was delicious. Not sure if the a/c was out but It was warm in the dining room, and I did notice a few fans blowing.Despite the a/c issue, I had a great experience and cant wait to go back.

Entertainment was good, food not so much. The prices were high and the food was mediocre. I ordered the crab cakes appetizer and it was not tasty, cakes were mushy, asparagus on top were simply boiled with no seasoning and rice was just plain rice. My main meal was shrimp fettuccine and it was so bland. If you’re going for the music, eat before you arrive! The building was old and dirty. Walls were full of exposed cords and outlets. Not a presentable establishment at all for the price they charge per show.

Had an amazing time for my birthday at a Blues for Nina poetry night and went back for the David Sandborn review! Both nights staff, food, and atmosphere exceeded my expectations.
